It was Friday and also the day you were going to have a sleepover at Eli's house. You might've, sort of, had to lie to certain a parent that you were spending the night at Clare's in order to be able to actually sleepover and bless Clare's heart, she agreed to cover for you. Eli told you that Cece and Bullfrog weren't going to be home so it would just be the two of you and you were both free to do whatever your hearts desired.
Class ended and everyone was free to go. You made your way to the parking lot to see a waiting Eli by his hearse, scrolling through his phone as he waited for you patiently. You happily sped-walked over to him and jumped on him, engulfing your boyfriend in a hug. "Woah!" He stumbled for a second but wrapped his arms around your waist to keep you and himself steady. "Sorry," you began to blush, just a light tint was spread across your face from the sudden interaction. "I'm just really excited to be able to spend the weekend with you." You replied sheepishly which only caused Eli to smirk, that classic, yet enchanting smirk of his.
He planted a kiss on your cheek as he opened the car door for you. You climbed inside as he shut it behind you then walked over to the driver's seat, he started up the car and drove to your house so you could pick up your bag filled with your things for the sleepover and to drop off your backpack while you were at it.
You hurried inside, grabbed your belongings then left your school bag, "Say hi to Clare for me!" your guardian yelled as you headed out the door. "I will!" you shouted back as you shut the door behind you.
You headed inside the hearse and began to ask Eli if he had any plans but he just gave you a grin and responded with "It's a secret." You hated being left on a cliffhanger like that but right now you're willing to let it slide since it won't be much longer until you arrived at his house.
The two of you stepped inside as he led you to his bedroom, you set your bag down in front of his bed. "So your parents are gone? For the entire night?" He nodded his head as placed his backpack in the closet, "Yep, well for the weekend. They went out for some concert fest that's pretty far out so the earliest they'll come back is Sunday night." Eli explained. "Well, what did you have in mind?" You asked him. He grabbed your hand and led you downstairs, "Woah Eli—Don't let me trip and break my neck." You joked as he safely led you to his kitchen. "Here." He said as he took out a box of brownie mix, you smiled as you looked at him with confusion, "Brownies? That was the Great Eli Goldsworthy's master plan?"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk." Eli replied playfully as he opened up a cabinet to reveal a bottle of wine. "Brownies and wine? How fancy of you Mr. Goldsworthy." You teased. "Anything for you, Madam." he quipped.
After the brownies were made you took them up into his room as he got a horror movie started while you opened up the wine. You offered the bottle to him first but he shook his head, "Go ahead, you can take the first sip." Eli insisted, you shrugged your shoulders as you gulped some down but quickly stopped after a gulp or two, the taste was horrible but the effects would be worth it you thought. You handed it to him as he laughed at your reaction to the alcohol. He drank it with ease while making eye contact with you and winking. You let out a playful scoff. "Show off." you teased as you stuck your tongue out at him. Eli set the wine down as he reached for a water bottle he brought upstairs, "Here's some water by the way, in case you want to wash down some of the taste." He offered as you generously took a drink out of the bottle.
You watched the movie together as you shared the drink and brownies, some parts you couldn't watch but you just shut your eyes so you wouldn't give Eli the satisfaction of rushing into his arms out of fear, but he still wrapped an arm around you and held you tight regardless.
After the film you and Eli blasted some music from his stereo, the wine bottle was long done as you two were dancing like absolute maniacs but of course, he brought another alcoholic drink upstairs. Eli was belting out the lyrics as he downed the drink in his hand then eventually passed it over to you, you drank some of the liquid that made your cheeks flushed and your body hot as you sang along with him. You both were sloppily dancing together but it only made you both laugh at each other even harder.
Finally the song ended and you set the drink on his nightstand, you were both panting and laughing your asses off, your cheeks becoming sore. "I've never felt so smiley.." you giggled as you cupped his face in your hands. "Elii.. did you knoow.." you slurred, "you're so.. beautiful?" you smiled lovingly. His face grew red as you began to lean in close, kissing him softly.
You could taste the alcohol on his lips but the kiss just grew more passionate as he wrapped his arms around your waist pulling you in even closer to his body. You felt nothing but absolute love and happiness for this boy and you were happy he felt the same way, you were happy he was able to love you so much, even after the tragic history with his ex-girlfriend.
He broke the kiss as he stared into your eyes, you could see his pupils dilate, his enchanting green eyes were filled with love. So much love. And it was all for you, your heart fluttered at the thought as you rubbed his cheek with your thumb ever so gently.
"I love you." Eli said. Surprisingly those words weren't so slurred like yours were. "I'm afraid I'll lose you too. Just like.."
He held you close to him as he buried his face into your neck. You softly shushed him as you placed your hand on the back of his head while using your other hand to rub his back. "Eli, I promise you, we're going to be just fine. Just you and I. Whatever happens, we can get through it together." You assured. He let out a sigh as he raised his head from your neck, he had a sad look in his eyes but he intertwined your fingers with his, he lifted your hand to kiss the back of it as you gave him a gentle smile. "I love you Eli, I always will." you confirmed.
A more slower, romantic, song began to play. Eli guided your hand to his right shoulder as he positioned his hand on your right shoulder blade then slid his free hand into yours. You swayed to the music, the affects of the alcohol making it sound more dreamy than it originally is. You laid your head on his chest as you both melted into each other, the both of you just living in the moment, this blissful moment.
"Just you and I." Eli repeated.
