Our Future Past

Summary:

When Marinette's world collapses due to all the recent stress being put on her

Notes:

Y'all..... honestly..... I'm a depressed bitch who got ahold of this website and now I plan to make other people happy/satisfied with her works. I am NOT a philosophical person at all. I'm more of a deep thinker and honestly question life every night.
My chapters are short AF as compared to other writers because I'm still in school! Ugh.

Chapter Text

Marinette was still struggling to make the most of her life. With duties of being ladybug and a broken heart to mend, the poor girl had become a soul-less body which was made for the prime function of rescuing people and getting good grades. Her life was a nightmare when she had to protect her identity from a wary Alya. Not to mention that her best friend was a part-time journalist, whose sole purpose was to figure out who was the young lady behind the mask of Paris' most revolutionary hero.

It had been easier when she told Alya about her alter-ego and it all seemed to have worked out.

But just when her life was taking a turn for the better, Adrien revealed that he liked Kagami. Marinette was done with her life at this point. Turning into her Alter-ego and working with her precious kitty had been the only thing that had been keeping her sane.

Last night had changed her thoughts about it though. After their regular patrol, the heroes were perched up against the Eiffel tower when Chat suddenly asked her " M'lady, what would it be like to know that someone who you love, loves someone else?" She was lost deep in thought. And replied with a quote which was like the principle of her life during the time " Pain makes you stronger, tears make you braver and heartbreaks make you wiser, Mon Chanton."

She never knew one line from her usually playful kitty would be the cause of her slowly losing against the constant battle of depression fought by her.

"I'm afraid you have lost the right to call me that M'lady, I have a girlfriend and I'm a loyal man!"

Well talk about that one sentence being the endgame for her.
