if i watch my favorite sitcom with you, it means i love you

Summary:

it's kind of funny how the people we didn't think of or even imagine loving at all are the ones we end up loving the most. love really does come in the most unexpected time with the most unexpected person. but hyewon wouldn’t have it any other way.

or

an au where eunbi and hyewon have been classmates for eleven years straight, but they have never interacted with each other for god knows what reason. until one day, eunbi barged in and broke down on a rooftop where hyewon was. since then, the trajectory of their lives has completely changed forever.

Chapter Text

kang hyewon. 17. a high-school senior. the khaki-haired girl. cold, indifferent—at least that's what everyone thinks. the truth is, she has so much love to give but knows that no one deserves them yet.

hyewon loves peace, serenity. that is probably why while most—if not all—of her schoolmates are enjoying the event in their school, she is here on her apartment building's rooftop chilling.

no one knows her there anyways, nor bothers to know her. she is not the type to involve herself in dramas—not like all her other batchmates who are always the first in line when certain rumors arise.

hyewon always loved keeping a low profile. she only keeps close to her circle—which only consists of four people—and her aunt. and if you ask her, she would not have her status any other way.

well, she never really liked this place in the first place. so why bother pulling efforts into making yourself known? in all honesty, she cannot wait for her to graduate high school to move out of this monotonous city.

eunbi, on the other hand, is the exact opposite of hyewon. everyone has heard of the name kwon eunbi.

kwon eunbi. 18. a high school senior. the girl with the black bob. the dance club president. resident party goer. one of the vixens.

everyone knows of her recklessness. even hyewon herself has heard of the dancer's shenanigans. it was only inevitable as the two have been in the same class since grade school up until now that they are in their senior year.

call it destiny or what, but hyewon didn't really mind nor cared. in their eleven years of being classmates, they have never once interacted with each other—at least outside school-related stuff.

why? because hyewon does not particularly like people like eunbi—the trying-hard ones. she cannot fathom why they have to force themselves to become something they are not as a way for everyone to remember their name.

so, yeah. hyewon is supposed to dislike her. but why can't she? how can she possibly despise her when the older girl of the two is here—on hyewon's rooftop—breaking down from all the weight that has been on her shoulders since god knows when.
