Chapter Text
"Bokuto-san, where are you taking me?"
"You'll find out soon, Akaashi!"
Ten minutes ago, Bokuto had given the same answer. And even 20 minutes earlier. And even when they had just left the house. By now Akaashi had lost hope.
Plus, the gray-haired boy forced him to avoid all the main streets, slipping into alleys or crossing some gardens.

That morning, Bokuto had jumped onto the double bed to wake Akaashi as early as 6. The dark-haired man had grunted, begging him to give him another 5 minutes. The ace refused, however, picking up his boyfriend bride-style and carrying him to the kitchen, where breakfast was ready. The settter blinked several times, then he looked at the calendar. Was it someone's birthday? No, it was June 1st...
"Bokuto-san?"
"Yes baby?"
"Why did you do all... this?"
Bokuto chuckled and kissed Akaashi's head.
"You'll find out. Eat now, come on!"
All the while, the captain had been circling around his boyfriend's chair, making him a little nervous.
"Please stop..."
"Have you finished eating? Yes! Now go to the living room, I have to change! Come on, come on!"
The taller guy pushed his lover onto the sofa and ran to the bathroom, then to the bedroom because he had forgotten to take his clothes, then back to the bathroom.
"I just can't understand what he wants to do... how strange..."
Akaashi sighed, then leaned back on the sofa and waited for his boyfriend to come back.
"Ok, now you can go! Hurry up though!"
Yelled the ace into the setter's ear. With each passing minute, the gray-haired boy became more and more excited and loud.
"I'm going, I'm going"
Akaashi murmured. He reluctantly changed, groaning in annoyance as he took off his pajamas and pulled on his jeans and a T-shirt. He grabbed a light sweatshirt and tied it around his waist, then returned to Bokuto.
"Where do we have to go? If you told me, I could dress-"
"Don't worry, that's fine. Now quick, come on!"

"Here we are!"
Yelled the ace jumping in excitement. Despite the June heat, the captain wore a sweatshirt.
"Bokuto-san, aren't you hot?"
"Don't worry, as soon as we arrive I take off my sweatshirt"
The setter sighed. He was 110% sure that Bokuto was hot: the gray-haired boy was sweating. Akaashi could see the droplets forming on his forehead and running down his neck, then disappearing into the folds of his clothes. He decided that this was a lost cause and continued to get carried away by his boyfriend.
A few minutes later they reached the town square, full of people with posters in their hands and bright T-shirts. The dark-haired man finally seemed to realize what his boyfriend had in mind and cursed himself for having treated him so badly before.
"Bo-bokuto-san?"
"Happy pride, Akaashi!"
The captain took off his sweatshirt and showed Akaashi his rainbow colored shirt with an arrow pointing to the right and the words "I'm so gay for him"
The setter blushed and looked up. A little he was tired of Bokuto's stupid ideas, a little he was happy with the surprise.
"Come on let's go! There are so many things to do!"
The ace took his boyfriend's hand and started running, dragging him through the crowd and kissing his cheek whenever he could.
They came to a little stand that sold small flags and T-shirts. Some had funny phrases written on them, others were more serious. Akaashi decided that, if he really had to wear one, he would take the one with the least idiot phrase. He preferred a more serious one, perhaps with a deeper meaning. He turned to point to one when he found himself near Bokuto holding a T-shirt with the phrase "not only I am awesome, I am gay too!"
The setter tried to refuse but gave in when he saw the boy's smile.
"All right, I'll take this"
The ace paid and took Keiji behind a tree to allow him to change. Then they went back to the square, where people had started the parade and were walking towards the part of town occupied by shops.
The two lovers enjoyed themselves (perhaps Akaashi a little less, as Bokuto took advantage of the opportunity to show off in front of a lot of people) and did a lot of things. At the end of the day they sat on a bench with an ice cream in hand. They were both exhausted.
"Thank you, Kōtarō"
Whispered the dark-haired boy. In response, Bokuto bit his lip lightly, then smiled.
"I'm so glad you're here with me, Agasheee!"
Keiji smiled. It seemed too odd that his boyfriend hadn't spun his name yet.
