Armin is lurking in an alleyways on watch as the group tries to track down Zeke and the rest of the Marley Mafia. He sees the limo that is driven by Pieck, their getaway driver but also a double agent who takes no one’s side. Armin signals his hand to Sasha who is on a roof with a gun ready to shoot bullets in their path. Currently, Zeke and Yelena stole thousands of dollars from the Paradis Mafia and now it’s time for revenge. The boss of the Paradis Mafia, Erwin Smith, instructed Jean to pose as Eren to bait Zeke and Yelena. Zeke wanted his half-brother to join the Marley Mafia and they would be the most powerful and take over. Eren knew better than to trust his half-brother because of how he’s screwed him over before. Sasha shoots the road ahead of them and Pieck swerves from side to side. Levi and Mikasa jump from the roofs and land on the limo to break the windows. Jean takes his gun and shoots Zeke’s leg as he takes Mikasa’s hand to jump out of the limo. Zeke limps out as the car stops while Yelena walks out with her gun loaded. A bullet flies past her head and she turns around to see Pieck shot the bullet.
“Awe looks like I missed.” Pieck says with a smile.
“Pieck, what are you doing?!” Yelena yells in shock.
“You and Zeke betrayed us multiple times by talking to Eren and trying to form your own mafia. Then, when you stole all that money from them and came back to beg for our help. I’ve had enough of your bullshit.” Pieck fires at her shoulder and Yelena drops her gun.
Zeke takes his gun from his pocket and weakly shoots at Levi. Mission commander Hange shoots Zeke’s other leg from behind him and Zeke falls to the floor. Levi walks over and rests his foot on the top of Zeke’s head. Levi points the gun at the temple of his head and bends down.
“Next time you think twice about stealing from us, think about who you’re messing with. Erwin built this mafia from the bottom up by himself and don’t you think for a second you can come and break it down.” Levi stomps on Zeke’s head leaving him beat and bloody on the ground.
Yelena shrieks at the sight of Zeke almost dead. She grabs her gun with her other arm and shoot at Levi, but Mikasa is too fast and deflects the bullets with a dagger. Mikasa was skilled with a blade while her cousin was skilled with a gun. Pieck shoots at Yelena’s back, and she hunches over in pain. Yelena is rendered helpless with no defense system. Mikasa walks over and puts the blade to her throat. Eren runs from one of the alleyways shooting at someone who is chasing after him. Sasha has view of who it is. He used to work in the Paradis mafia before Zeke and Yelena convinced him to join them along with a bunch of former Paradis members. Floch Forster. Eren’s running grabs Mikasa’s attention, and she takes her blade away from Yelena and runs to protect Eren. Mikasa swipes her blade and knocks Floch’s gun out of his hand and then pins him down to the ground she slowly grazed her blade across his back leaving him screaming in pain. The rest of the traitors of the Paradis Mafia come out from every alleyway possible. Connie, Jean, Ymir, Annie, Reiner and Bertoldt jump from the rooftops and start attacking. Sasha stayed on the rooftop and shot from above. Eren saw someone coming from behind Armin and he shot the person while grabbing his hand and taking Armin behind the limo that was long gone.
“You ok Min?” Eren asks.
“Yeah, I'm good. How about you? Did Floch get you anywhere?” Armin asks.
“Just a little bit on my arm. Other than that, I’m fine.” Eren gently takes a hold of Armin's jaw to give him a sweet and short kiss.
“There’s got to be some kind of med kit in here. I’ll look for one while you just hang tight.” Armin climbs through the broken window into the limo.
Everyone was too busy and assumed Yelena was dead. She was on the ground almost lifeless and she reaches weakly for her gun. Half of Eren's body can be seen from the limo and Yelena takes this opportunity to fire. The bullet shoots right into the left side of his back and goes completely through his chest. Armin whips his head around in concern and sees Eren looking at him with a shocked face, a face that is about to see God. Armin keeps struggling to find a med kit to help but can’t find one and gives up. He’d rather spend Eren’s last few minutes with him. Armin leans down to Eren and holds his hand. Why did Eren always have to be the first to leave between the two of them? Eren raises the hand to cup Armin’s cheek and Armin holds that hand as he sobs. He can see Eren mutter ‘I love you’.
“Eren, please don’t leave me again. I love you too, just hang on five more minutes and we can get help.” Armin tries to deny Eren’s incoming death.
Eren breaths out of his nose to mimic a laugh and shakes his head. Armin leans down to Eren’s heart and sobs as his lover’s life slowly fades from him. Eren weakly lays his hand over Armin’s head and Armin hears the last heartbeat and his soul shatters. The only thing that can be heard is Armin’s cry for Mikasa and him muttering ‘I love you' to Eren. If Armin was able to find a med kit quicker he might have been able to save him, maybe if he killed Yelena himself Eren would still be alive. Armin keeps blaming himself for his death. He just wished they had five more minutes and Eren might still be alive.
“I’ll see you soon.” Armin said softly while giving Eren one last kiss on his head before leaving with the rest of his friends.
