Chapter 1
The Missing Prince
The castle was in full of chaos from rambling the whole place to just find the whereabouts of the prince, Although this had had became a weekly event at the palace.
For some reason, every week the prince disappears, somehow slipping through the guards and escapes the castle grounds no matter how tight the security was.
Prince Izuku Midoriya, the adopted son of the current king, Toshinori Yagi also known as All Might. He's an 8 year old child who has a curious nature, he loves exploring around and finding new things to learn about. His often hobby was to study plants and herbs around the castle gardens but It always led to either of the two things; He either gets bedridden for a week since he touched something dangerous or he either gets lost and eventually ends up in the forest on the upper part of the garden which was connected to each other.
And that said boy keeps disappearing on Thursdays and reappears in his room asleep on Friday mornings safe and sound, Not even a single scratch on him. They've tried to guard outside of his doors and windows but he still kept disappearing not knowing where he went or what he did to sneak out. They even tried to watch him as he slept though that also didn't work for the kid vanishes when they look away even for a second, Not knowing where he goes or what he does during that day.
"Prince Izuku!" Voices could be heard left and right throughout the castle calling the same name. This 'event' has been happening ever since Izuku stepped out of the castle for the first time on his 7th birthday. It was for him to interact with children the same age as him although It only lasted a few months long since the other kids were too afraid to approach 'royalty'. The other kids in the meantime bullied Izuku for having *no mother and for not having any talent in magic or any form of sorcery.
Izuku was pretty much alone, though he preferred it that way. All Might tried to make him socialize with the other prince and princesses from other countries during gatherings but he'd locked his room and will not dare to go out for the rest of the day avoiding his meals. The prince had a frail body to begin with and he also didn't eat his meals on time so All Might didn't want to mess with that opportunity.
During the mysterious disappearances of the Prince, All Might’s right-hand man aka his bestfriend comes along the palace and talks about this certain incident.
"Toshi, Are you really just gonna let the prince disappear evey week" All Might's right hand, Naomasa Tsukauchi, confronted him about the situation.
All Might grunted. "Of course not, I'm just currently thankful that he gets back without getting injured."
Naomasa went over to the drawer just next to window where he pulled out a notebook. "The prince has been vanishing into thin air even If we keep a close eye to him" He read before flipping a page. "We can't track his majesty's whereabouts, not even If we cast a tracking spell on him" He then flipped another page. "He always begs me to take him deeper into the forest but refuses to tell me why." He then closed the book and placed it on top of the table.
"These were some of the statements of the prince's guards, the royal wizards and his majesty's personal butler."
All Might sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. He reached out to the notebook that Naomasa placed and flipped throughout a few pages before placing it back down. "I Can't believe you took all of these notes" All Might chuckled.
"This isn't a laughing matter Toshi. This has been happening for nearly 2 years now. Prince Izuku's birthday's right around the corner and It's on the same day he usually disappears."
Upon hearing this, All Might’s smile turned upside down.
He knew that Izuku’s been disappearing now and then but he had not realize that It has been happening for merely two years now. He didn’t really care that much at first since he was just relieved that his son was coming back safe and sound the next day after he disappears but this can’t go on any longer.
There was a chance that the prince won’t come back any moment once he just lets this be. He had to do something before his worst nightmare does happen. “How can we find out though?” He turned to his bestfriend.
Naomasa once again picked up the notebook and flipped onto a specific page.
The prince always begs me to take him deeper in into the forest but he doesn’t tell me why. This was the statement of Izuku’s personal butler.
“As mentioned here, The prince wanted to go deeper into the forest.”
“The forest that’s connected to the garden?” All Might furrowed his eyes.
“There must be something about that forest then.” Ignoring All Might’s question, Naomasa continued to state the ‘clues’ they had.
“You said that he started to disappear ever since he went out of the castle for the first time.. Did something happen during tha time?”
All Might shook his head saying no, Naomasa scratched the back of his head sighing. “How about asking him once he comes back tomorrow?”
All Might hadn’t even thought about asking the kid himself since he kept thinking that the kid has his own world and he shouldn’t meddle with it. “You’re his guardian, shouldn’t you deserve to know?” Naomasa seemed to know what he was thinking.
Toshinori sighed before nodding his head in agreement at his friend.
The room grew silent for a bit not until a crow came pecking onto the windows and landing on its sill.
At the sight of the crow, Naomasa grabbed his coat and hat meaning that it was time to go. He could only join All Might during the morning till noon because of what kind of work he does.
Naomasa nodded to the king meaning that he had to leave, "Naomasa" The king called out before the man could step out of the door. "3 days from now. Are you available?"
The man paused for a moment and soon gave a smile slightly nodding to the king before leaving the room.
After Naomasa left, Toshinori took a key out of his pocket unlocking the very bottom of the drawer beside his bed. It revealed two things, a box and a photo frame. He smiled at it letting out a sigh of relief.
It is said that It was the king’s precious things that only the king himself can touch. The most valuable things that Toshinori had ever owned and was even willing to die to protect it at all cost.
|| Somewhere ||
“Kacchan! Wait for me! I can’t run very fast!” A young boy with pale skin and curly green hair called out to the spiky blonde boy who was running in front of him.
“Hurry Up! We don’t have all day!” The blonde boy said as he grabbed the green haired boy by his hands and dragged him with along.
The two boys laughed together enjoying their company with each other.
