Rich and brilliant rays of sunshine peeks over the horizon - the sky turning from blue to a lovely pale orange, the gentle breeze carried on the leaves that fell from the tall tree.
Beneath it sat the current renowned wine tycoon - Fengge ragvindr.
On his lap lies a certain geovishap hatchling, lazily enjoying the sunset and leaning into it’s fathers gentle pets.
His eyes were closed and he was humming a familiar tune which was taught to him by his older sisters...hmm, he doesn’t see them as often as he did when they were all younger, but that's understandable. They all have their own jobs to do. Then again, he was missing them quite a lot.
Ah the struggle of having older sisters that are very influential and powerful individuals.
Maybe he could drop by the Knights HQ on one of the days and deliver his freshly made peach wine to dear Guizhong.
He smiles to himself, imagining the way she would react to the new and sweet alcoholic beverage.
Although he fears that it might be a little bit too enjoyable- he has tried it himself and he had to pry himself away from the bottle to not pour another cup-
A sudden rustle of the grass has alerted him of someone's presence. His smile grew wider, recognizing the visitor even without opening his eyes.
He nudged Peanut, the geovishap hatchling, with care - the little creature huffed lazily, but rolled off his lap nonetheless and took up a spot next to him. It curled up comfortably and went back to sleep.
Suddenly, the spot in his lap was filled yet again and a pair of soft and gentle hands wrapped itself around his neck.
He opened his eyes with the softest smile, seeing his spouse’s face. The sunset behind them made them look absolutely ethereal, creating the prettiest halo on the crown of their head.
Fengge was, if nothing else, a hopeless man before his love. Just the barest touch from them made his heart explode the same way as the fireworks during Lantern rite.
Ahh, but if he was to be honest - no holiday could match up to Eloise’s beauty, that was for sure.
Seems like he has been staring at them for long enough without uttering a word since his darling giggled and tilted their head to question
‘’What’s that look for?~’’
Fengge could only let out a fond sigh, taking ellys free hand to bring it up to his lips - planting multiple kisses on their palm before moving their hand to kiss the ring that he has gifted to them.
‘’I found that my voice simply vanished for few seconds just so i could admire your face, my love~...’’
That comment brought a deep blush onto their cheeks. Oh how embarrassing could this man be when confessing his love to them every single day...But honestly, why would Eloise have it any other way?
Their sweet husband was always so sentimental and caring and they just wanted to give him their love in the same, if not tenfold, amount.
They move their hand to set it upon fengges cheek, feeling the slight prick of the stubbles on them. Ah, fengge definitely likes rubbing his cheek onto theirs, it always elicits a pleasant giggle from eloise. It was a pleasant feeling,really, not too rough and painful on their skin.
They gently stroke their husbands cheek with their thumb and hum ‘’sap~...what were you doing out here by yourself?’’ They hear a grunt next to him
‘’oh- sorry-’’
They giggle, reaching out to pet the top of peanuts head - getting a pleased chuff in return.
‘’What were you and peanut doing out here?’’
Fengge leans in and nuzzles his face in the crook of their neck, wrapping his arms around their waist comfortably. He purrs softly when he feels their fingers cradle through his red locks.
‘’The day was very pleasant and the sunset looked very appealing, so it would have been a shame if i wasted that by staying indoors.’’
Elly moves their husbands bangs back and kisses his forehead, hugging their head close enough that he could definitely hear their soothing heartbeat.
‘’Mind if i join?’’
The man shifts his head slightly so he could plant a sweet kiss onto their neck, not even bothering to move his face back to talk - which made his voice sound a bit muffled. Ah what a silly man.
‘’Not in million years would i mind you joining me, my dove~’’
Eloise couldn’t help but to fluster more, a giggle that they couldn’t contain slipped between their lips before they shifted and sat in his lap comfortably - leaning their back against his chest. His hands wrap around them instinctually.
Face buried onto their fluffy hair, the dragon's demeanor went slack from relaxation, enjoying their partner's presence more than anything that life has ever offered him.
They sat in silence and watched the sun dip down below the mountains.
Until the sky turned rich purple and the air turned too cold for them to remain outside - only that is when they decided to head back in and prepare for dinner.
