Chapter Text
“Ah… I see you are behind all of this, wife.” He spits. The Empress Ginevra stands before him fearlessly, her lips twisted in a cruel smile and her eyes animated with triumph.
General Henry of the Potter clan stands over Draco’s fallen form, unmoved by his own baseness. Once a trusted servant whom he, as emperor, had raised and generously lavished with praises and fortune, but has now revealed himself as nothing but a loathsome traitor, fucking his wife behind his back and conspiring against his throne. The inscriptions of truth, loyalty and honor in his blade, which Draco had bestowed upon him personally, is now made undecipherable by Draco’s own blood.
What a psycho, Draco thinks.
He smiles bitterly, teeth stained with blood but sharp with contempt, “I knew I should have had you removed promptly once you have been stripped of your usefulness--which is to say, immediately, because I can't quite fathom if you've ever been useful.”
The empress’ nose flares, “Indeed, that would’ve been the most prudent choice. But of course, instead of acting like an honorable and sensible emperor like your subjects required, you were too busy fucking your consorts and indulging your unnatural tastes.”
If he is to die, Draco thinks, he yearns to inflict as much pain as he can upon the bitch.
“Ah yes, your brother, Charles, was particularly ravishing and your trusted Eunuch Thomas has received me well. You, on the other hand--” he gags, “I shudder upon a mere recollection. It was a strategic maneuver I was compelled to perform, and I despise every single second I have misspent seeking unrealizable relief upon your barren body. If I could, I would have married your brother. He would’ve made a finer empress than you.”
The empress’s face colors in shock and outrage.
“You—you are disgusting!” She spits in Draco’s face.
In fury and humiliation, she lunges, reaches out for her lover’s sword and plunges it abruptly into her husband’s heart.
Seated on his throne, with a sword lodged upon his heart, Draco musters a mocking smile promising vengeance upon their heads as a spirit in this life or as fellow humans in the next before everything in the world becomes pitch dark.
