Chapter Text
"I still can't believe you actually came, Anjia," said irritably Tobirama. A week before, a mission was requested by a group of priests and priestesses asking for help. They explained about mysterious disappearances occurring in the zone, some of their own members went to investigate, but none have come back home.
Of course, been Shinobi's, they don't actually believe in legendary creatures and stuff like that (and no Hashirama, for the last time, you did not see a koppa when we were younger!), but after meditating and Izuna's helpful comment of how Senju Tobirama was capable of, bringing not just an important Uchiha figure to the present (Ootsusuki Indra, who refuses, by all means, go back to his own time, completely in love with his new and non-consent friend), but also to bring someone from the future to their present (Hyuuga Hinata, who now refuses to go back until she resolves the mess up shit that is going in her clan so her cousin/brother doesn't have to suffer for it in the future) that there might be a tinny bitty chance that mythic creatures may exist.
So, because Hashirama is an idiot who is determined to prove Tobirama wrong and Izuna just like to annoyed Madara, the mission was accepted and the shinobies in charge of it were listed:
Senju Tobirama (Leader because Hashirama can't be trusted to not run towards the old forest and get lost)
Uchiha Madara (because he doesn't trust Izuna and his survival skills when it comes to annoying Tobirama...and if he looks for a chance to be alone with said Senju, well...no one have to know, even if Indra-sama kept sending knowing looks)
Senju Hashirama (because mythic creatures do exist Tobi! I am going to prove it, damn it!)
Uzumaki Mito (because she doesn't believe in her husband survival instinct and her brother-in-law desire not to strangle at least one time his brother)
Uchiha Izuna (want's to annoy)
Senju Touka (want to test how far can Tobirama go without strangling someone)
Ootsusuki Indra (because he can, and no one is stopping him)
Hyuuga Hinata (because Indra-sama force her)
and here they are, leaving their new village protected only by Uchiha Hikaku, Senju Kenji, and the famous Uzumaki Seals alongside his and Indra's-sama inventions. May Kami-sama help them.
"What do you see, Hinata-san?" ask Mito, desperate to not allow her husband to rant again about mythical beings and legends and all of that. Everyone ignored Hashirama's whimpers.
Hinata, with her active Byakugan informed "I can't see was is ahead of 3 miles from here,"
Ok. This captures the attention of everyone. "What do you mean ?" asked Indra.
"Everything is fuzzy. I can't see any form of chakra ahead, it like a huge mist" explained Hinata, trying hard to look what was ahead, but nothing she does or how much she concentrates, nothing appears before her eyes.
"Stop doing that Hina-chan, you are going to hurt yourself," said Izuna, patting her head like an older sibling towards his little sister. What can he say? He likes cute little things and Hinata is small and cute, like a little bunny.
Indra glared hard at Izuna, not liking how Hinata blushed cutely and smile adorably toward that idiot. "What do we do, Oh great Tobirama-sama?" mockingly ask the Uchiha.
Tobirama was silent for a few seconds, delicately touching the ground and sending his senses towards the direction Hinata talked about, and sure enough, he couldn't feel anything ahead, like that space just didn't exist. For him, everything had energy, to the great ocean to the small rocks. He can feel anything, but this place was just...not right. "I can't sense anything ahead, Hinata-san, please tell me what can you see before or after the mist? Please, try to be specific on what you see, anything that should not be here,"
Nodding to the order, Hinata once again activates her bloodline and starts looking "I can¿t anything after the mist, but before I can see the forest, some animals...also..."
"Also?" asked Touka, serious at the situation. Hinata was known to have the largest range in her clan...so just what the hell was that mist?
"There are some ninja tools laying around, and I think I can see some battle signs closer to the zone." describe Hinata.
"We will rest here for now, we must continue cautiously from here forward." order Tobirama, "Hinata-san, is there anything else you can see ahead?"
"No sir, I...there was one more thing though..." said Hinata.
"What was it?" asked Madara.
"I could see a little chakra flame inside the mist, but it just disappeared. It may be just coincidence."
"Hinata-san, you are a Shinobi. From now on, nothing is a coincidence," said Touka strictly.
"Hai!"
"Well, Mito, Touka, and Hinata-san go create the perimeter. Anija, you and Madara go look for fish. Indra-sama, Izuna, and I will install the camp." order Tobirama.
After nodding, everyone started working, taking advantage of the natural light before night falls upon them. "What are you thinking?" asked Indra looking at the troubling face his non-consent friend had.
"Something doesn¿t feel right about this mission. Like those priests are hiding something about this disappearance..."
"Do you think it has something to do with that mist?" asked Izuna.
"Maybe...I can't be sure. I was also thinking about that chakra flare Hinata-san was talking about...if there is a possibility someone was trapped inside, we must help..."
"Such a soft-hearted bastard," mocked Izuna. "I agree with you though, Hina-chan was worried after seen that..."
Glaring at his descendant, Indra growled "stop calling her that, it's offensive,"
"What's offensive?" asked Hashirama, who was just turning in with some fishes and a few blueberries...that were stored by Tobirama. "You have an addiction," was his only answer as his brother happily, eat the blue delight.
"Indra-sama is jealous of Izuna and Hinata sibling bond," explained Madara, ignoring the death glare his antecedent send his way.
"Indra-sama likes Hina-chan?!" asked Hashirama scandalously. Every male was looking at him with somewhat amused pitty. How can he not notice? Indra was NOT SHY TO ADMIT IT...Well, to everyone except Hinata herself. Luckily, the little bunny was a lot more naive than Indra was.
Somehow, even after the girls return, Izuna annoy Indra by sticking close to Hinata, and Hashirama's attempt to explain how he saw a koppa, Tobirama was still feeling unsure about the mission and that mist. Tomorrow they will take a closer look...but something was still feeling wrong about it.
He just hopes he doesn't regret it.
"Remind me again, why can't we leave these humans alone?" asked a long white-hair man who looked at his sister with a sweat drop on his head. Why was she again the Goddess of the skies?
"Shhh! This is getting interesting! Besides, I must help my child find happiness," explained Amateratsu to her little brother.
"and why did you bring one of MY child to this madness?" asked Tsukiyomi annoyed that his sweet little girl was involved in his sister's madness.
"Oh come on! This is so much fun, come join in!" exclaimed Susanoo, excited by his sister schemes.
"I will never hear the end of this crap..." lamented Tsukiyomi, getting closer to his sibling and enjoying the show his sister prepare. This goddess has a lot of free time it seems. Maybe he should leave some of his work to his sister, that may teach her not to mess with his children.
