"Sei... you too?"
The Hedgehog who spoke had only just arrived to the vast expanse of rock and dust, having taken sight of her friend within the gentle light of the moon overhead. This was the Lunar Wastes, which was found within the Lunar Territories, so it was often used for travel amongst them. Still, she wasn't fully expecting the Rabbit to be here.
The Rabbit, better known as Seilo, had taken a knowing glance in her direction- his eyes emitting a soft, luminous glow of yellow behind the lens of his glasses- which had given off a glint as he turned to speak with her.
"Yes," He nodded, though he was known to be direct, and that was no different tonight as he adjusted his frames, "I'm to assume you did not sleep well, seeing as you're here."
"I..." Ally shifted, of course he'd have brought it up, "Yeah, sorry."
This didn't seem to phase him much, as he leaned to his side, and his eyes resumed contact with something else. The Moon, which was rather sizable above the wastes at this time.
"As I thought..."
Ally's eyes also flicked to the moon, but found her sky blue gaze drawn back to Seilo. Something had drawn her to this place, and it seemed no different now. Seeing the light play at the yellow hues of the rabbit seemed to have a different air about it than the brilliance it held under the sun, and she could only wonder... past all of that, if maybe she had wandered here for a reason.
Seilo himself seemed to be left to his own thoughts, after all, and she could only figure that he had been here for some time.
"I guess what brought me here was you," She continued, "Is there something on your mind?"
"Yes..." Seilo's answer seemed far less blunt this time, and Ally could infer that something was maybe troubling him.
The Hedgehog's expression changed from the awe she'd held prior, now being more reflective of her desire to support him,
"Care to talk about it? I won't pry, of course, but..."
Seilo took a moment to contemplate, to determine how he should compose his words for Ally in particular, in which going out of his way for was still a new practice for him. His trail of thought was not... the easiest to follow, for most.
"I suppose... the past few weeks have come to surprise me." He shifted himself now, "Having befriended others in my life has made me aware that I know so little in spite of my abilities-- and the shift in perspective, in that regard, has been strange for me." A sigh had followed this, and his eyes strayed towards the dust that swirled in gentle wisps around their feet, "Growing up, I've felt estranged from the possibility of forging relations, so knowing and experiencing care from others... rather than being outcast for my senses, confuses me. I'm finding more questions than answers."
Instead of taking more than a second to process the rabbit's thoughts, Ally had somehow danced around said senses with the timing of her response!
"Sei, that's completely okay!" The hedgehog was sure of this, and that could be seen through the fact she was now beaming, "Though, there's one thing you shouldn't question, and that's how much we care. Sure, our first impression was slow, but it's like Galaxena had said- you're a very kind person! We recognize this, and know that you use your skills to look out for others... so we'll always do the same for you-- that's what friends are for!"
Instead, it was Seilo who had taken a moment of his own to process his friend's words, having paused some before their eyes met again,
"Thanks..."
It was a smile that was shared next between the two, and Ally found herself equally thankful for tonight. Tonight and their growing connection, their Friendship. She laughed lightheartedly,
"Hey, No Problem!"
The two decided it best to stay in the Wastes for a time, to enjoy the night until drifting off. Ally of course was the first to have done so, and Seilo took it upon himself to see to it she was brought someplace safe.
There was much more to learn, that much he knew- but even more, he knew he wanted to learn this alongside her, and protect that to the best of his ability...
