Blood Soaked

Summary:

Wilford meets Anti while he's eating.

Notes:

This is my first post on here and I'm still figuring out how to use this website so if something is messed up or my tags should be different, hopefully I'll figure it out or maybe someone will tell me.

I had some ideas for Anti's character that I couldn't stop thinking about and I had somewhat of an idea for like a continued story that would work as a series and less of a multi chapter fic, but anyway

this is the first idea that can stand on it's own, I hope it's readable/worth your time.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Anti meets Wilford during one of his frenzies, he’s in the woods surrounded by many dead bodies, hot blood pooling everywhere. Anti’s senses filled with the scent as he crouches over the nearest body and peels his skin back around his cheeks opening his mouth wide.

Sharp needle-like teeth exposed, he lets out a loud animalistic scream coated with static and dives into the bodies’ chest, tearing it apart with claws that formed on their own. He rips meat and organs out ferociously and stuffs handfuls into his mouth, swallowing quickly and diving back in for more using his mouth. He roots around inside the corpse’s torso biting and tearing and tossing the bones aside.

Completely enraptured with his meal until he hears the sound of shuffling brush. Anti’s head snaps up, blood dripping in rapid back onto his prey, he looks into the trees to see an odd looking man. The man hadn’t noticed Anti yet, caught off guard by the many bodies littering the forest floor.

Anti, still filled with hunger and animalistic rage, ignored the man in favor of eating his fill. He snapped back down to his meal and tore at the flesh on one of the arms, snarling and licking blood out of the way.

Again, Anti was interrupted, he heard footsteps approaching him. Feeling territorial, Anti gave him a warning. He looked up in the man’s direction and gave off a loud hissing sound.

The man didn’t seem too deterred, which was odd. Apparently this man wasn’t human or he would’ve already been gone, Anti reasoned briefly.

The man had paused in his steps and took to looking Anti over. And then he spoke, “I’ve never seen a creature like you. You must be quite a rare and valuable specimen.”

Anti ignored his words, he was still hungry. He moved onto a new body and dug in, cracking the chest open with his claws and diving back in with his teeth, keeping a subtle eye on the unfazed creature walking around his killing ground.

Eventually the man crouched down to look at a few of the scattered bodies, alerting Anti until he saw he was only looking, not touching. As long as he wasn’t touching. He went back to gorging himself, until he heard the man speak again.

“Do you plan to eat all of these bodies?” He asked with an excited and curious lilt to his tone.

Anti had finally eaten enough to summon his more humanlike qualities, like speaking. He could still feel his stomach growling as he answered, “No.” There was deep-echoey voice that accompanied his own when he had spoken, he hadn’t meant to do that.

The man for once seemed a little stunned, “Oh, you can speak?”

Anti ignored his question, eating again.

The man wasn’t deterred, now seeming even more curious. “What are you, if I may ask?”

Anti continued eating, cleaning meat from bones and devouring organs. He moved on to a new body, tearing into it and spilling new blood all over himself. He dove back in with his mouth and found an unwanted rib in his way, so he bit onto it, tossing his head back and forth until he ripped it out.

He sat up straight, leaning his head back with the rib still in his mouth and then spit it out to the side at the stranger getting closer. Anti made eye contact with him.

If it were possible, the man seemed even more intrigued by the display. He hovered close by and kept creeping closer. He eventually came too close for Anti’s comfort and he let out another warning shriek, loud and static-y.

The man didn’t jump back, but he stopped coming closer. The man was surely some kind of powerful entity, but just how powerful? Anti didn’t want to get in a fight he couldn’t win. He may be chaotic and violent, but he’s not an idiot.

When Anti turned back to his meal the man decided to speak again, “You’re very alluring, I must say! I mean, you have so many differing qualities that seem like they don’t coincide naturally. That’s intriguing.” He trailed off.

By now Anti had finished his fourth body, still having room for a fifth, but the way this man was looking at him, Anti wasn’t sure if he’d have time.

He started to feel annoyed, he wasn’t finished eating and this weirdo was interrupting him! He didn’t even have a chance to put all the bodies in a pile yet!

The man sensed his dismay and held up his hands placatingly, “Be calm, I’m merely intrigued with you at the moment.”

Anti wanted to say that didn’t put him at ease, but decided if he wanted a chance at that fifth body, he might as well get a start on it now. He chose one that was far away from the creepy man.

“My name is Wilford. Do tell, what is your name?”

Anti hesitated, he didn't know who this creature truly was. Didn't know what he was capable of or what he had in mind for Anti, but it wasn't like Anti was human. He didn't have address, so what was the harm in telling him his name. “Anti.”

“Anti.” The man tested his name out, sounding in wondrous thought. “A creature of divine intrigue, indeed.” He hummed to himself.

Anti had gone back to his meal already, clearing the body of its insides, hunger finally staving off. He felt more solid now, more in control of himself. When he finished eating, Anti picked up the hollowed out husk with ease and looked around the clearing for the perfect pile placement.

He found a spot that sufficed and deposited the body then retrieved the other hollowed out bodies to join them. As he went to pick up one that was close to ‘Wilford’, he paused. Anti let out a low growl, indicating to Wilford to back off, surprisingly the man did get out of his way.

He still didn’t seem intimidated, but as long as he was out of the way Anti didn’t care at the moment. He picked up the other body and dragged them all to the same space and stacked them evenly on top of each other.

Next, Anti grabbed up the scattered bodies that he hadn’t eaten and haphazardly tossed them on the opposite side of the clearing. He wasn’t as particular with this pile, just putting the bodies in the same vicinity as each other, all while Wilford stood back watching.

The man was observing him, like Anti was an animal. Irritation built up in him as he was watched like a display.

“Fascinating.” He stated as Anti finished his ritual.

Anti snapped his head in Wilford’s direction, hating the way this man spoke about him. Anti glitched up close to the man in the blink of an eye, staring at him. He circled the oddly dressed man like a shark and took note of his scent and subtly hidden knives. Noting his gun as well.

Wilford allowed Anti to sniff him out, curious to see what else he could learn about this new creature and confident that he needn’t worry about an altercation as long as he kept hold of his impulses.

Anti positioned himself back in front of him, arms crossed over his chest, waiting as his whole front dripped fresh blood. Wilford took note of the oppressive static in the air and the subtle shimmer hovering around Anti. Wilford couldn’t stop himself from reaching out and trying to touch Anti, too fascinated to think about consequences.

Anti’s reaction was immediate, he dispelled the shimmering pixels in front of him and used them as a sharp wall to force Wilford away, cutting him and throwing him back all at once. “Don’t touch me!” He yelled, voice glitching.

His reaction was purely reflex, but he stood by it regardless. Anti did not want to be touched.

Wilford stood up dusting himself off, feeling a little stunned. He definitely wasn’t expecting that. There’s a lot about this creature he couldn’t predict and Wilford found that more enticing than he should. He had so many thoughts, but one more than the rest. He wanted to tell his good friend about this new creature.

“Apologies,” he spoke as he tried to reapproach Anti, “I couldn’t help but notice that shimmer around you.”

“Then notice somewhere else.” Anti stated and glitched to the edge of the clearing, turning to walk away into the dark dense forest. He was tired of this man.

Wilford did not follow or try to stop him, he figured he’d be able to find Anti again.

Notes:

If you got to the end I hope you liked this. I'm not very happy with it, but I've had this and a couple other ideas stuck in my head and I feel like I hit a wall and I'm tired of looking at it.

Anyway, I'd love some feedback if you have any or kudos work just as well to let me know if you liked it.
