Today was a nice and sunny morning in odaiba, one where everyone seemed to be out and about. It's here that we see our swiss queen emma heading to grab a bite to eat. With karin away on a modeling trip; emma decided to go dine at a nearby burger joint. After all, when karin was around she loved to complain about bad eating habits. So emma was happy to eat some unhealthy foods while she was away. We then watch as the girl enters the restaurant and happily approaches the counter. Here the ditzy idol glances over the menu; even though she already knew what she wanted.
Emma then looks at the tired cashier and places her order. "Hi I'll have a triple super stack, one fry, and a large drink". "Will that be all", the other girl yawned. "Heh, yep!". Moments after emma paid her bill; we see a gigantic burger placed in front of her. This sandwich was so unnecessarily big; that one bite looked like it could give you a heart attack. The meat was literally dripping with grease, and there were huge pieces of bacon hanging off the sides. It was safe to say that if karin saw this, she would probably pass out. Emma however was long overdo for some good ole fast food.
So the foreign girl carried her giant burger over to a table, and dug in. Emma was in heaven as she munched away at the mountain of meat. The girl was honestly questioning if something this good wasn't cooked by her dear old mama. Each bite she took reminded her of the mouth watering meals she used to cook for them. Then before she knew it, the meal was but a memory and now resided in her stomach.
"Wow...that was buono!!!", She cheered. The now full idol then sat back and took a big gulp of her beverage. After this seemingly insignificant task, the girl noticed something.
On the side of her cup was a small sticker, it read. "Peel for prize". Seeing this definitely piqued the girls interest; so she casually pulled the sticker off out of curiosity. "Hmmmm, congratulations you win a free PS5", the girl read. "Ooooh how exciting". We then see emma hop up from her chair and run to the register. "Hey excuse me!", The idol waved. "Yes, do you need something else". "No...I just wanted to collect my free PS5", the girl smiled. The worker behind the counter then grabbed the ticket and nearly froze upon reading it. "Ho-holy crap...y...you really did win one!". "Yep, all my friends will be so excited", emma clapped. "Well unfortunately we don't have them here, you'll have to take your ticket to the local best buy". "Oh alright then...thank you", emma bowed.
The girl then left the restaurant ticket in hand. As emma walked away from the place however, she got to thinking. She wasn't really into gaming; but she did know a girl who was. In fact, it would probably make a great gift for her. So the happy girl decided to head on home, and instead bring the ticket to school tomorrow. That night Emma had sweet dreams of frolicking through the mountains of home with her siblings. The girl often felt homesick with no one from her family around; and even more so with karin gone. Fortunately she had made plenty of friends at nijigasaki; and looked forward to watching a certain someone flip over her gift.
So thankfully the next morning came pretty soon, and the girl quickly got ready for school. Emma put on her uniform, made sure her pigtails were tight, and grabbed a nice snack before heading out. The walk was a peaceful one, with peace being something that always followed the girl. When she got to school, she happily rushed to the cafeteria. There she saw kasumi and setsuna enjoying breakfast together. "Hey you guys...good morning", emma bowed. "Oh, good morning emma-senpai", setsu nodded. "Hmmm I see both of you couldn't wait to greet cute little kasumi ehh", the small first year smiled. "Of course, I'm always happy to see you kasumi", emma said giving her a head pat before sitting down.
The third year then looked at setsuna with a huge smile and went to announce the news. "Say setsuna, you like gaming don't you". "Of course...the only thing I love more Is anime!!". "Good...then I hav-". Before emma could finish however, she thought of something. The school day had just started; and if she showed setsuna the ticket now she would probably lose it.
The former student council president would most likely wanna skip school just to go pick up her console. Emma didn't really want this to happen; so she decided to change plans. "I was just wondering, I thought you did", emma smiled in a weird way. "Yeah...I do". Emma then jumped from her seat and made a quick exit. "Well see you guys later, I gotta get to class".
"Ehhh, class doesn't start for another thirty minutes", kasumi commented. After this emma tried her best to hide her excitement and stay to herself. The club was planning to meet up that evening; so the girl just had to keep her secret till then. We then see emma go through what would be a really long school day. Her excitement made each class feel like it lasted an eternity. Eventually though, they would end and the main event of her day could begin.
Here we see the idol happily skipping down the hall, ticket in hand.
Meanwhile in the clubroom most of the nijigaku girls were just hanging out. With kanata asleep on shizuku's lap and the rest practicing their steps. Emma then entered the room, and instantly went over to nana. "Hey setsuna, do you remember how I asked if you liked video games earlier". "Oh yeah". "Well I figured you would love this", emma said slipping her the ticket. As setsuna read the small paper her Eyes nearly popped out of her head. "E-emma...is...is this REAL!!". "Yep, I won it at a restaurant yesterday". "Wait, and you want me to have it", setsuna gasped. "Yep I'm not into gaming, but I knew you were".
In this moment the younger girl was speechless at the thought of owning the elusive ps5. The only thing she did actually do was tackle the third year into a hug. "Oh emma thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!". "I really don't deserve your kindness", setsuna cried out. "It's no biggie, I'm glad to see you get it". The other niji girls then watched as setsuna motionlessly stared into the ticket; as if it had hypnotized the lucky otaku. Kasumi then crept up beside her and spoke. "Ummm, how long are you gonna stare at that". "I... actually don't know what I should do right now". "Maybe go get it". "(Gasp) your right, let's go right now kasumi-san", setsuna said grabbing the first years hand.
"Wa-wait, why do I have to go!!". Just then setsuna, emma, and kasumi (albeit against her will) rushed out of the clubroom. The three idols then ran as quick as they could to the nearest electronic store. Setsuna definitely wasn't missing out on her taste of new-gen glory. In fact she ran so fast that by the time they got there everyone was pooped.
As it turns out, no amount of stamina training can account for running through town like a maniac. "Huff,puff, why...did kasumi have to run so much!!", The first year growled. "Kasumi don't you realize how urgent this is", setsuna cried. "People have literally bought out entire stocks in seconds; so we have to hurry in case they run out". "But...I'm...so tired". "It's alright we're almost there, now full speed ahead", nana said leading the two into the store.
Once inside setsuna made haste to the cash register. Sitting behind it was a younger guy looking as bored as he could be. "May I help you guy's", he asked. "Why...yes you can sir!", Setsuna said slapping the ticket onto the counter. "Oh hey, lucky you guys", he said reading it. "I'll just go show this to my manager and bag it up for you". Once the man went to retrieve the console; setsuna began to visibly jump up and down in excitement. "Wow setsuna, I had no idea you'd be so happy about this", emma smiled. "Are you kidding, no one's been able to get there hands on this console". "And if they have, they had to pay ton's!!!". "Heh, I guess you did get pretty lucky then Emma-senpai", kasumi commented. "Yep, and I'm glad setsuna will be able to enjoy it".
About this time the man returned with their 500 dollar prize all wrapped up. "Here you guys go, one ps5, two games and two remotes". A bewildered kasumi then looked at the employee and spoke. "And...this doesn't cost us anything". "Nope...you guys are extremely lucky". Just then a drooling setsuna cradled her console like it was a new born baby. "Emma-san, thank you soooo much!!", The girl said literally crying. "Your very welcome...so are we headed to your house to play it". Upon hearing Emma, the younger girl froze in place. "M-my house...awwwww man!!". Setsuna then explained all the rules and regulations at her house; and the strict ban against gaming and anime.
Now the three had there prize, but were unsure of where to bring it. "Hmmm, it stinks your parents are so strict", emma sighed. "I wanted to see you take it home". "Well, what are we supposed to do now", kasumi shrugged. A saddened nana then fell to her knees with the answer. "We'll probably have to return it". Upon seeing the disappointment in her friends face; Emma got a different idea. "No we won't, me and karin live alone...you can bring it to our place". "Huh, really!", Setsuna gasped. "Of course, in fact let's go right now", the girl nodded. "O-okay". We then see the three idols make the trek to Emma's, prize in hand.
When they arrived, emma unlocked the door and led them into her and Karin's shared apartment. Once inside the girls could instantly tell who stayed where. Emma's side of the place was modest and nothing to fancy. While Karin's living space was a bit more fitting to her personality. With assorted clothes strown everywhere, and model magazines still laying open on her desk. Honestly karin wasn't the cleanest roommate, but emma still wouldn't choose anyone else to live with. "The TV's over there, you can get it all set up". "Do you think karin will be alright with us here", setsuna worried. "Oh she'll be fine!". "Besides, it'll give kasumi a chance to figure out some of her secrets", the first year said with a devious smile.
The idol gremlin then ran over to Karin's side of the room and began to plunder through her things. "Uhhh, I don't know if karin will be fine with that", emma frowned. "It's alright...karin and I are bff's". "O-okay then", emma said switching her gaze back to setsuna. "This here, that there...and done". The girl then flipped on the tv revealing a crisp and sleek PlayStation symbol. "Oooh, it's on", setsuna clapped. "Alright then, how do we play". "I'm glad you asked". Setsuna then ran over to the console and slipped in one of the games they won. "Call of duty...I've never played this before", emma smiled. "Don't worry I'll teach you, it's actually pretty straight forward".
Setsuna then played around in the game and gave her senpai a tutorial. The only problem however was all the violence; tons of it littered the screen making emma feel pretty uncomfortable. Limbs flew, blood splattered, Emma had no idea video games were this violent. Setsuna on the other hand looked like a bloodthirsty beast killing everything that moved. "And that's about it... what'd you think", the girl smiled. "It's ummm...yeah". "Something wrong", setsuna asked. "No...but instead, how about I watch you and kasumi play first", Emma smiled awkwardly. "Oooh okay, kasumi come grab a remote".
"Kasumi's busy learning model secrets". We then see the first year walk over to Karin's dresser and begin to inspect. "Hmmmm, I wonder what she's hiding in this one", kasumi said pulling open the top drawer. As she did this, the other girl's saw her face fill to the brim with blush for some reason. "Ehhh, m-models have to wear this stuff". Kasu then pulled a very suggestive black thong from the drawer and held it up. This one piece of clothing was something that kasumi would never dream of wearing...not in a million years. We then see her quickly throw it back in the stack and rush over to Emma's part of the room.
"I...I think I will play with you guy's", she whimpered. "Good...did something happen though". "Nope... nothing, how does kasumi play this now", she said changing the subject. Setsuna then gave the embarrassed girl a quick run through before starting the match. Once she was familiar, the two would commence with a bloody war that lasted almost an hour. Both sides shot and blew each other up nonstop with absolutely no mercy. At one moment Emma watched in horror as kasu blew setsuna to pieces and then cheered out. "Bow to the greatest idol of all time you sorry noob!". "(Gasp) kasumi, I'll bury you for that", setsuna growled. The two then kept playing with things getting pretty heated; and of course more insults were thrown.
"Take that you little gremlin". "Whoa, where was all that Moxy when you choked in front of shioriko at the debate". Setsuna then slammed her remote down and shot her underclassmen an angry glare. "Why you little...". Before things could get out of hand however, Emma intercepted. "That's enough you two... let's play something else!". With the big sister vibe Emma was giving off, the other two girls quickly calmed down. "Oh sorry Emma-senpai, I was kinda in the heat of the moment there", kasumi chuckled. "Don't apologize to me, setsuna deserves that". "Right...sorry setsuna, I know you tried your best to beat shioriko". "It's fine, sorry for calling you a gremlin".
After this, setsuna fished out the other game that came with their prize. "Alright, what's this one", Emma asked. "It's a classic, it's been out since we were kid's". Emma then took the case and read the title. "grand theft auto...never heard of it". "That's a surprise, I've even played that one", kasumi commented. "Heh, well I've never played video games that much". "They're too violent", Emma shrugged. "Then don't play this one", kasumi directed. "Nonsense, she can try it!!". Setsuna then passed Emma the remote as she started the game. "Wa-wait...I don't know how to play". "It's alright I'll teach you, this one's pretty easy", setsuna assured. Now while the controls were pretty simple; the game itself was a different story. As Emma fought off drug dealers, outran the cops, and even robbed a gas station.
At first the girl wanted to turn it off and scold setsuna for playing such a violent game. Eventually though, the swiss idol started enjoying herself. Setsuna and kasumi were also having fun watching such an innocent girl go crazy. In fact Emma was a natural at this game, playing with zero deaths for what seemed like hours. Finally though, with five stars and an entire police force shooting at her...Emma was killed. "Darn it, how was I supposed to get away when there were so many chasing me". "Ummm your actually not, when you have that many stars your usually done for", setsuna explained. "Awww man!".
While Emma was busy lamenting her loss, kasumi went to take a bathroom break. As the first year did this, she stumbled upon a horrible surprise. While passing by a random window; she saw the morning sun peeking through the curtains. "Uhhh...guy's!", She called out. "Yeah what is it", Emma replied. "Come look at this". The other two girls then joined the first year by said window. "Didn't we come here just before dark", kasumi noted. "Yes". "Then that means...". "Oh crap...we accidentally pulled an all nighter!", Setsuna cried. "Wait what...we played all night!?".
Emma then tried to piece things together in her head. She remembered beating the tutorial, then after that everything was just a blur of police lights and video game violence. It certainly felt like she played for hours; but she didn't actually think she did. Now with it only a few hours till school; the three began to panic. "Man, my parents are gonna kill me", setsuna whined. "I didn't even ask them if I could stay here last night". "Yeah and I was supposed to study for a test". "Shizuko's going to be so angry with me", kasumi pouted. "Oh no, guys I'm so sorry... I'll take the blame".
While this whole thing was all of their faults; Emma couldn't help but feel like she was mainly responsible. After all, she was the one who won the console and had them over to begin with. Fortunately for her though, her friends weren't going to allow her to get into any trouble alone. "No, your not to blame Emma-senpai". "Kasumi and I are just as guilty", setsuna sighed. "Yeah, and if anything shizuko is too". "She usually text around my bed time to make sure I'm going to sleep". "No,no,no kasumi...this is our fault", setsuna scolded. "And I think we should accept whatever punishments our parents have whenever we get home".
The first year then dropped her head and nodded. "Awwww, I guess your right". Now with everyone accepting their roles; the girls got ready to face what was surely going to be a bad day. Before leaving the apartment though, setsuna and Emma had one last chat. "Are you sure you guys aren't mad at me?". "Of course not", nana assured. "We're responsible high schoolers too, this isn't your fault". "Thanks", Emma smiled. "You know I should be the one thanking you...you got me the coolest gift ever". Upon saying this, the second year tackled Emma into a hug. "That was the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me!". "Heh, your welcome", Emma said patting the head of her underclassmen. "You can come play it anytime you want".
Setsuna then looked up at her senior and smiled. "Ummm actually, I was thinking about coming back this afternoon". "Then the next day, and the next day!", The girl excitedly announced. "I don't wanna stop till I've turned you into a bonafide gamer girl!!". "Oh well that sounds... interesting", Emma chuckled. We then see setsuna scurry off; leaving Emma standing in the doorway of her apartment. As she waved goodbye to her friends; a nagging thought bit her in the back. "Hmmm, I wonder what karin-chan will think of all this".
