Work Text:
Kenma’s channel hit 10M subscribers, it was one of the biggest achievements a gamer of his country has gained, and this time he promised to his followers that he would do something different to celebrate. His occurrence was a travel vlog.
Even though these days he didn’t find discomfort in visiting other countries alone owing to the amount of times he had done it for work, having someone to travel with was preferable so he still decided to ask Kuroo to go with him. Well... kind of, Kuroo also invited himself before and Kenma didn’t object to that.
They were leaving Japan that day to visit Brazil for a week. It was an interesting destination, most likely something Kenma wouldn’t choose because of the amount of people those touristic places conglomerate during their summer season, however after hearing Shoyo rant about how good everything there was, several times, for hours. He decided to give it a chance. After all, if it really wasn’t the place for him he could still enjoy the accommodations the five-stars hotel he booked had.
The first time Kuroo embarrassed both of them was when a stewardess came to ask if they needed something, such as water, coffee, plane food. Kenma simply and politely denied it by shaking his head left to right, however Kuroo blurted out sonorously a “Hi, I’m Kuroo Tetsurou, world famous kodzuken’s boyfriend and for the moment we don’t need anything, thank you.”
To say Kenma’s face was bright red was an understatement. Even if he was used to Kuroo saying it back at home, in a teasing way, starting a chat with a stranger like that... Kenma felt he was going to kill him.
Inhale, exhale. ‘Don’t do it Kenma, it’s vacation time.’ He repeated over and over again in his head.
The woman nonetheless smiled, nodding whilst keeping her route asking the next row the same question. He stepped on the other’s foot. “Don’t do that.” Kenma hissed. Kuroo smiled, widely, proudly.
Kenma hated being in love, because seeing the other smile like that even if he was pretending to be annoyed, made him crack a smile too. He turned around delighting Kuroo with the sight of his back, he was going to sleep. God, he hated him. (He didn’t.)
The second time arrived when Kenma turned on his vlogging cam. He was introducing himself as usual, welcoming his viewers, explaining what he had planned for the day and the week, summarizing how their flight went. He called Kuroo over, who was laying on their bed, to do the same. Although most people knew who he was, there were always new followers around and it was something he couldn’t skip.
“Hello kodzuken’s fans, I’m Kuroo Tetsurou from the JVA.” he said, Kenma was thankful he didn’t mention the- “and world famous kodzuken’s long time boyfriend, good morning.” usual. Kenma stared at him with what could be the most deadly gaze he had ever given the other, eyes throwing daggers. This moment, in opposition to the last time, Kuroo laughed loudly, resonating all over the room, and Kenma gave up. Defeated.
The third time happened when they were spending their afternoon on one of the popular beaches. Well, he could say it ‘happened’ but it kind of didn’t. Kenma was resting in a chair under a parasol when a fan, who seemed to be not much older than him, approached innocently asking for a pic, a signature or just to congratulate him for the new achievement. Either of those were fine, was what the boy had said to the gamer. “Thank you for following me through all my journey.” Kenma beamed in his direction after the younger boy finished telling the story of how long he had been following his channel. It didn’t annoy the famous gamer being interrupted during his vacation, he liked privacy of course, but when it wasn’t aggressive confrontations that made his anxiety raise, he was fine with it. After all, he was there, at some point, thanks to them.
Kenma was about to stand up in front of the other to shake hands and finally say goodbye when Kuroo came back from swimming. For the blonde haired boy it was a view. His boyfriend was only wearing red swimming shorts, water drops all over his naked torso and wet hair, erasing any trace of his bedhead style pushing it down.
Kuroo handed himself a towel ruffling it over his now messy hair. Both boys looked at him. “Hey angel, got company?” Kuroo asked. Kenma effortlessly nodded. “A fan.”
“Oh right then...” Kuroo was facing the boy “... Hi, I’m Kuroo, world famous kodzu-“
He didn't finish that because Kenma threw himself over his boyfriend covering his mouth with both hands while hugging his body with his legs. Not allowing him to speak. The act, though, was followed by Kuroo losing his balance and both falling into the sand. Yes, this was more embarrassing, Kenma thought but no, he was not doing that again. The fan, nevertheless, stared at the scene in awe for some minutes until he excused himself, congratulating the gamer once again.
“You’re crushing me.” Kuroo said after he found Kenma not moving.
“You deserve it.” The other replied. “And I'm not that heavy, stop being dramatic.”
Kuroo looked fondly at Kenma, like the other was deserving of the world. And, in fact, he was. He looked at him like Kenma held all the stars in his beautiful round golden eyes. He also, metaphorically, did.
Kuroo looked at Kenma, as if he was the luckiest man in the world and, again without a doubt he was. Both were, both knew. With his boyfriend still above him and the mentioned fan now forgotten, Kuroo leaned to leave a quick peck on the other’s lips, that were reciprocated with some more from the other.
They were definitely causing a scene but neither minded.
During the week, there was a fourth, fifth… there was a tenth time. The rest of their days were as eventful as the others, Kenma couldn’t stop Kuroo from presenting himself as world famous kodzuken’s boyfriend or maybe now, he didn’t want to, instead he created a compilation of it placing the clip at the end of his vlog which was released a week after they returned back home.
What could he do? Kuroo Tetsurou was head over heels in love with world most famous kodzuken and Kozume Kenma was madly in love with him
