Scarlett closed the study door with a small smile. That room had been the most serene one by far, even with the implication that vampires (and possibly giant turtles??) were a thing that some people discussed as casually as an annoying errand they had to run. Part of her was jealous that those men knew exactly who their enemy was. Scarlett still had no idea what exactly she was up against, but she couldn’t stop now. She just needed to figure out where she needed to go next.
A strange whooshing sound met her ears. It wasn’t a sound she was familiar with, and yet it was—almost comforting? Like it was telling her come here, I can help you, let me take you where you need to go.
Scarlett opened the door and took an involuntary step back. She had thought the hallway had been winding and confusing, but this room inside of the hall was so much bigger than she could have imagined...
