You had wandered into town, completely dazed and unfocused. Your steps were uneven and you seemed to stumble every other step. You stopped in what you assumed was the town square, taking in your surroundings. You couldn’t remember how you got there, or where you came from. But the tall skeleton in front of you gave you a gentle smile. He bent down to your height as a woman who looked like a rag doll came over to you as well.
“Welcome to Halloween Town.” He said carefully, gently taking your small hand, “my names Jack, Jack Skellington. And this is Sally.”

By nightfall you were exhausted and fell asleep quickly in the bed that Jack had procedure for you.
Your days were filled with fun and excitement with the other citizens, and you helped the best you could with preparations for Halloween. You stayed clear of lock, shock and barrel, as Jack said they were no good tricksters.
Your first Halloween you had gotten lost while trying to spook and scare the living, but the mayor had found you and brought you home to Jack and sally. They looked so relieved to see you, hugging you tightly once you were inside.
They had become your parents, and the town was your family. Whatever horrors you had faced before arriving didn’t matter here, they loved and welcomed you no matter what. Every night Sally would tuck you in and you felt safe with them. For the first time, in what you could remember, you felt
