Work Text:

The old white house was silent, almost too silent.

The house had 4 people and a dog in it, there should be some sound somewhere, but Lilith heard none. He knew all his friends were scattered around the two story house, while his dog, Ollie, was sitting on the couch with him watching a movie.

The leather couch molded into Liliths shape, that's how long he’d been there.

The day had been a great one so far, he had won a race, brought his best friends to his house for the first time, his friends had been kind enough to fix up the front of his car after it dented from him ramming into his opponents car.

The day had been great.

Lilith leaned his head back onto the couch and was immediately met by puppy kisses on his neck from Ollie.

“Ew, get your slobber off of me.” Lilith said while picking up the white puppy and setting the dog next to him instead of on his lap.

Lilith chuckled as the dog whined, and reluctantly picked him back up and set the puppy on his lap.

Finally, Lilith heard noises coming from upstairs. He had wondered why they had all been so quiet.

He leaned his arm up against the couch and yelled out, “Hey you fucks, where are you?”

Immediatly, a voice piped up from the balcony, “First off, dont call me a fuck, second off, im in the guest bedroom with Five and Rice.” Dagdas voice echoed down.

They left him downstairs with the dog, tyranny.

He picked up the remote and shut off the tv, then picked up Ollie and headed upstairs to where the voice had come from.

The guest bedroom was the room next to where Lilith's room was.

Just outside the door, he let down the white fluffy dog to announce his arrival.

Everyone in the room immediately “aw”-ed, so Lilith knew that was his time to go in.

He once again pressed his frame against the door to see what everyone was doing before he actually went into the grey room.

The room was very bare, it was a guest room anyways, and nobody usually visited.

The room was painted a light grey and only housed a king bed with a drawer at the end, and two side tables on either side of the bed. Other than that, the room was barren, so the tattooed boy wondered why his friends chose that room to hang out in.

Rice was seated on the bed, next to a laying down Five. Dagda was sitting on the floor in a spot close to the door, leaning against the wall for support.

“Why are you sitting on the floor Dagda?” Lilith asked, trying to stifle a laughter.

Dagda looked up at the boy, “Laugh now, but the floor is comfy alright?”

“Sure, alright.” Lilith laughed, pushing himself off the door to join his friends on the bed.

He sat down at the foot of the bed, opposite of Rice.

Everybody sat in silence for a minute, not the good kind of silence, but the awkward one.

“So, what do you guys want to do?” Five asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence.

Lilith leaned back, “I can take you guys on a joy ride in the car, that Dagda and Five thankfully fixed up for me. Thank you guys once again.”

Five sat up, “No big deal man! Anything for a homie!” they smirked.

“Yeah, what he said, it's no big deal.” Dagda chimed in.

Lilith smiled again, he wasn't sure how much he could thank his friends for just being there with him and for him.

“You guys want to go on that joy ride?” Rice piped in.

“Yeah, that sounds fun!” Dagda and Five said at the same time.

Everybody in that grey room laughed at the same time, maybe the dog did too who was sitting in Dagda’s lap now.

Lilith got up and raced down the stairs to grab his keys and be the first one in the car. It was childish, he knew, but it was still fun for him.

He could hear people bounding down the stairs following him, but he was already out the front door, trying to reach the handle of his car.

The first person out the door was Dagda, who wore a crazy look on their face, clearly racing to be in the passenger seat.

While Lilith didn't think anyone was going to take that seat from him, he could still appreciate the effort.

Lilith sat down in the driver's seat, oh how much he loved being there.

“Make sure whoever is last closes the door! I don't want Ollie getting out!!” Lilith yelled while looking around for the switch to the leds.

“Yeah I already closed it!” Rice's voice appeared behind the tattooed boy, both Rice and Five were already setted in the back of the car, both eyeing the aux cord.

Lilith sighed and nodded his head, signalling the two they could take the music.

Both of their eyes lit up as they both desperately grabbed for the aux cord. Rice being the eventual victor as he hooked it up to his phone.

Lilith pressed the car into reverse to back out of the driveway, he had already decided the course they were going to take for the ride.

The song “Supermassive Black Hole” by Muse blasted over the radio as the car pulled out.

The tattooed boy grinned and pushed the car into drive, ready for the adrenaline to come. Dagda already tightened his grip on their seatbelt, ready for the high speeds Lilith always went.

The beat of the song filled the purple car to the brim, along with the sounds of laughter that had already begun.

The car flung around, leaving the road and running along the lush green grass that lay in the fields surrounding Liliths house and the roads to the city.

The sudden change in terrain made everyone bounce out of their seats, which just caused more laughter to flood into the car, lifting the atmosphere.

The car raced along the fields, bumping every so often that made adrenaile burst inside of Lilith.

Everyone started singing along with the song, creating a mini concert inside of that purple car. It was amazing, everyone happy, the smiles on everyone's face, this is what Lilith wanted. Lilith wanted to be nowhere else than that car at that exact moment.

A smile beamed onto Liliths face, this was great.

Lilith pushed the gas pedal harder, increasing the speed of the car, driving it back onto roads.

The car continued down the road, driving at top speeds of 90 miles per hour. Lilith rolled down all the windows and let the sounds that once filled the car, out into the now sunset sky.

The car bound down the roads, the smell of fuel and rubber filling the air, that was the smell Lilith had been raised on, and he wouldn't want that any different.

He roughly swerved the car, and started to drift it back towards the house, but he didn't have plans to pull into the driveway.

He picked up the speed and drove it straight past the house into the even more open fields behind his house.

The car rattled and bumped, but Lilith knew the car wasn't breaking down, he’d rode the car through these fields almost everyday for a long time, he knew how his car worked, and how to not overwork it so it can be good for races.

The rattling just meant Lilith should try getting home soon, but he wanted to make it fun for his friends before he did.

Lilith gripped the wheel harder, feeling the way that the bandages on his knuckles were strained under the pressure.

Lilith took the car to 100 mph and swerved as fast and as hard as possible, everyone in the car leaned towards the side. Cheers and laughs could be heard throughout the car.

The wind picked up and knocked hair in front of Lilith's hair, to which he laughed at and lifted one hand to fix quickly, then immediately placed it back down on the wheel.

He drew circles in the field with the car, making him dizzy, but the pure fun of it knocked out that feeling.

Eventually, Lilith straightened out the car, pressing down lighter on the gas pedal and started towards home.

“That was so fun! We have to do it again!” Rice exclaimed, leaning up onto Liliths seat.

“Yeah we can! Maybe tomorrow once you guys wake up?” Lilith asked, slowly down the car to a stop in a lazy parking job next to the house.

Lilith stood outside of the car and waited a second for his vision to stop spinning completely and for the colors clouding his vision to disappear.

Everyone else raced outside of the car and threw open the door, seeing a patiently waiting Ollie.

Not seeing his owner, Ollie ran outside and circled Lilith's legs.

“Aw, did you miss me baby?” Lilith cooed, picking up the small white dog and holding him in his arms. He scratched the dog's stomach, immediately leading to Ollie thumping his tail against the side of Lilith.

Lilith laughed and carried the dog to the door and set him inside, closing the door.

“Lilith! What do you have to eat? I'm hungry.” Five questioned, followed by everyone else complaining about being hungry.

“Uh, not sure what all I have, but I can order a pizza?” Lilith replied, already pulling up his phone to call the local pizza place.

“Yeah that sounds good!” Dagda nodded.

Lilith ordered 2 large cheese pizzas, then settled down on the couch, soon followed by everyone else.

Ollie settled into Liliths lap as Lilith drifted off to sleep to the sound of his friends talking and bickering with each other.

Soon enough, the doorbell chimed, which woke Lilith up very fast, “Can one of you go get the pizzas? I have a baby on my lap.” Lilith asked, while petting the small dog on his lap.

“Yeah I got it!” Rice answered, bouncing off the couch and slid into the way of the door. Quickly handing the money to the pizza man and grabbing the boxes. Quickly returning back to the couch and setting the steaming pizzas onto the coffee table.

“Fuck, they smell so good.” Lilith said, mouth practically watering.

Without another word, everyone dove into the pizza like hungry lions going after a gazelle.

In only a few minutes, only 2 slices were left from a total of two large pizzas, “You guys really were hungry heh?” Lilith said in surprise, leaning back onto the couch.

“Yeah I suppose so.” Five replied nervously, working on finishing his last slice.

Lilith laughed, Ollie got up and walked off of Lilith's lap and went to Rice. “Im betrayed Ollie, how dare you.” Lilith mocked in an obviously fake sad tone.

Everyone laughed in response, while Rice petted the dog, Lilith got up and worked on cleaning up the boxes and storing the leftover pieces in the fridge for probably tomorrow's lunch.

He grabbed a seat on one of the barstools instead of walking back to the couch. The cold marble top felt nice against his fingers, that reminded him he had to wrap his fingers again.

“Hey Dagda, can you wrap up my fingers again? I loosened the wraps too much when I was driving today.” Lilith asked, already moving towards the closet with the wrap in it.

Dagda sighed, “Yeah of course man.” He got up and walked over to the kitchen where Lilith had set out the wrap.

They both sat down on barstools. Dagda worked on re-wrapping the tattooed boy's fingers while the two still seated on the couch watched in awe.

Lilith winced as Dagda tightened the wrap on both hands, “You should really lay off driving and wait for those to heal you know.”

Lilith shifted his hands in his palms, working the new bandage around, “Thanks for the advice, but you know me too well to know I wont stop.”

Dagda sighed, “I know.” He walked over to Charlie and asked him for something. Charlie started rummaging around his bag and eventually pulled out what Dagda probably wanted, a small pack of gummies.

His eyes looked like a child looking into a sugar factory, he tore open the package and immediately started eating the gummies, but weirdly, only the green ones.

“Can I have the ones you're not going to eat?” Rice asked, still petting the dog.

Dagda shrugged, “sure!”

He finished up the pack of the green gummies and handed the bag over to Rice, then Dagda sat down in an open seat next to Five.

Lilith finally got up and sat down next to Rice, “So what do we do now?”

“I don't know about you guys, but I'm starting to get tired, I think I'm going to call it night.” Five said, standing up and walking towards the stairs.

“Alright, don't let the bedbugs bite!” Rice called up after Five.

Three people were left downstairs out of the 4 originally there.

“Hey, I have a good idea,” Dagda started, “So you guys know the pouch that Five carries around with his spray paint, and gummies?”

“Should I like where this is going?” Lilith asked, putting an arm around Rice.

“Yes. Alright, how about we wait until Five is asleep, then we sneak in and steal the gummies?” Dagda suggested.

“Better idea, let's do that, but we do it until either Five wakes up, or we get all the gummy bags out.” Lilith countered, a smirk growing on his face.

A smile broke out on Dagdas' face, and they got the look in their eyes that just says ‘hell yeah.’

Lilith unwrapped his arm from Rice's shoulders and stood up to go upstairs to try and figure out which room Five went to sleep in.

Five apparently chose the guest room that they had all been in earlier, the one next to Liliths room. Lilith peeked in to see if he had gone to sleep yet and he had. It was time.

Rice and Dagda snuck up the stairs after Lilith gave them the thumbs up that Five was asleep, and they all quietly inched into the room, looking for Five's bag.

The bag ended up being on the nightstand farthest away from the door, so they all had to quietly move over there, and then it was time for the game.

Dagda took the first try, quietly getting out a gummy bag and silently opening it.

Lilith went next, then Rice. And this repeated until there was one more bag left, and it was Dagdas turn.

It was clear they were ready for the game to bge over, so instead of quietly trying to get it, he frantically got it out and opened it, to which, Five's eyes flew open.

Everybody in the room screamed, as Rice and Lilith bolted out the door, Dagda wasn't as lucky.

Five ran up and socked him in the mouth, shaking their hand afterwards.

“What the fuck were you guys doing?” Five demanded.

“We were playing a game where we had to get out all the gummies in your bag before you woke up.” Lilith replied, standing in front of Rice who had hidden behind him like a raccoon.

Five looked down at Dagda, then back at Lilith. Then they shrugged and jumped back into bed, quickly falling asleep again.

Lilith rushed over and pulled Dagda out of the room, who was holding his face where Five had punched it.

“His punches hurt, god damn.” Dagda muttered.

Lilith laughed at the guy and carried them into the room next to Fives room and set him down on a bed in there. The room had two twin sized beds, and the walls were painted a blue color, a white dresser stood in between the two beds to separate them.

Rice jumped onto the bed that Dagda wasn't sitting on and got underneath the covers, “I suppose they were tired as well” Lilith thought to himself.

“Alright, just lay down here and go to sleep, it might hurt in the morning, but you'll be fine.” Lilith patted the boy's head like a dog and then walked out of the room, but before he fully walked out he hit the light switch.

Lilith walked back to his own room, glad to have such great, while crazy sometimes, friends. He would trade the world for those dorks.

He got inside his room, flicked off the lights, and settled into bed after a long, but great day.

He stared at the ceiling for a minute before he let himself drift off to a peaceful sleep.
