Mirror

Summary:

Mirrors reflect, don’t they?

Work Text:

Mirror

Mirrors, how many of them do you currently have in your house? On the walls, furniture, a hand mirror kept in your drawers, even glass windows are mirrors aren’t they?

We use them to see ourselves, look for any imperfections or anything that doesn't look right in order to make ourselves look presentable and the way we want to.

Our eyes are also in a way a mirror, it reflects what it sees, shed tears if there’s a cause to do so, look away and close, and blink.

Mirrors can’t do any of those things.

Mirrors on the wall, our glass windows and even the screen on your phones, just what it is do you think that they see? And how many things have they seen?

They are stuck on the walls, unable to move, watching how we live our lives.

Being in the same place, it has seen so many things repeat over and over, there are also different scenes, slight and huge differences that occur.

Not moving, not blinking, not looking away.

How many scenes have they seen? Were they warm and heartfelt ones? or the opposite?

They say mirrors absorb energy, a mirror in a lively and happy house will absorb and radiate the same atmosphere.

While a mirror in a terrible one will do - well - of course, the exact opposite.

If this is true, then would you say the mirrors are to blame? or would you blame the owners?

Just what scenes have they shown the mirror for it to radiate such a terrible, suffocating and heavy atmosphere?

I was drunk.
