Katara was just about to go out when her phone rang. Picking up the phone Julia heard her grandmother’s voice. She had called her to ask for a favor. You see her soon-to-be-grandfather was coming to their town for the weekend and nobody was available to go and pick him up from the port.
Of course, Katara couldn’t say no to her grandmother so she called her friends and canceled her plans for the day while starting her way to go to the port.
When she reached the location she started searching for her grandmother’s fiance. Unfortunately for her disembarkation area was full of people. After at least twenty minutes she finally found him.
When they reached her family’s house Katara helped him to take out the luggage from the car, said goodbye to him and her grandmother, and left for her apartment. Then while driving, she touched her neck and tried to clear her throat a little bit.
Suddenly her neck felt naked against her palm’s cold touch, her mother’s necklace wasn’t there! The necklace was originally her grandmother’s, a gift from her late husband, and was passed to her mother when she married her father. The day she was murdered, she gave her the necklace to try it on. Julia treasure it since then as something to remember her mom.
Katara freaked out. She tried to remember all the places she went that day, searched all her apartment and car, even called her grandmother to see if she knew anything.
But nothing came out. The only place she didn’t look for was the port. Katara didn’t care if she looked like a madwoman, that she was probably looking right now, she had to find the necklace. But at the night she couldn’t see anything.
She went to sit on a bench and started crying.'' Hey why are you crying'' asked a stranger and she explained the whole situation.
“I don’t know if that’s yours but I found it today here”
and he showed her mother’s necklace.
