Work Text:
Victor was just sitting in his bed, his notebook in his lap and simply writing his daily poems.
Of course he enjoyed doing so, it was his favorite activity.
And of course his parents worry about such an activity since not a lot of people look into poems these days..
If only his father knew that not everyone listens to classic music either.
After a bit more writing he peeped over at his phone that was lying on his pillow, with no messages.
Especially from his boyfriend..
Did he hate him now? I’m sure Victor did nothing wrong to Aesop, unless Aesop got tired of him? Maybe he was too annoying? Or maybe he found someone so much better..
It took Victor a couple seconds before sighing deeply, he was really thinking too deeply about this again?
Aesop is a busy man, and he shouldn’t get upset with that! Right..?
Losing his motivation, he placed his pen in the book as some sort of bookmark and closed the book up.
He didn’t know how to feel at this point, ever since Aesop got this new job, it felt like Victor wasn’t important anymore.
Between high school and his job, he always focused on the work and not him.
Even though it was a selfish act, he felt like he was crumbling up like a piece of paper and ready to be thrown away.
Victor placed his notebook on the nightstand and laid down on his bed, he rolled over staring at the phone near his head.
No ‘hello’, or no ‘How are you’, and especially no ‘I love you’..?
He of course couldn’t tell his parents these feelings, Antonio would probably hurt Aesop verbally, and Luchino.. he didn’t want Luchino to hurt him..
Of course they’re overprotective as parents, but maybe they were too over protective.
So, another day of keeping such emotions bottled up in his chest, and it really tended to hurt.
Why did Aesop need to get a job? Wasn’t school stressful enough? Maybe Aesop wasn’t gonna keep all these promises he had made for Victor..
Just some gushy stuff to warm his heart up and spoil the man!
Victor should be mad at this man, but.. he couldn’t.
All he can really be is damaged, and thinking all these negative things about his boyfriend only made him break into tears.
And with that, he picked up his phone and threw it off to the bed so he could grab the pillow it was originally on, and hug it.
Just some lonely blond crying onto a pillow, and this probably lasts for a while..
30 minutes passed, nothing still happened, and 1 am was coming close.
But Victor wanted Aesop, he wanted his hugs, his cuddles, his kisses, and the spoiling words of his love! But where was that if he’s never there?! Why continue this damn relationship if his boyfriend can’t even text him once!
There was no point in keeping this relationship up, and with so, he sat up in his bed and crawled towards the side to grab his phone.
If he wasn’t going to receive nothing after doing so much for Aesop, it was best to cut ties.
‘Dear Aesop.
We’ve been dating for awhile, and it was great while it lasted, but I don’t think I can continue this any longer.
The amount of hours and maybe days waiting for a single “hi” or “hello” for it to never come is getting on my nerves.
Even at school, you don’t say anything! You even walk past me after I try to grab your hand.
Why must you hurt me like this?
And so, I want to say we’re done, I can’t take this pain any more.’
Taking a deep breath, he then sent the confession before he placed the phone back on the floor, and went back to laying down.
And so he slept in the end.
Or well, kinda..?
An hour or two passed by, and everything was nice and quiet, you can probably hear the crickets from out his window.
Until well, there was so noises next from the window, seeming like someone was opening it.
And once it was open, the figure walked in, and closed the window behind themselves.
“Victor..”
The figure mumbled before he wandered over, while walking over it seemed like they were holding a back of some sort of goods?
And so, the figure gently shook Victor open.
From the bag making noises and being touched and shook, Victor woke up from them.
But once he was up and looked at the figure, he almost screamed until the person dropped the bag and covered Victor’s mouth.
“Shhh! It’s me, Aesop.”
He mumbles as he removed his mask, but Victor clearly wasn’t handling this.
And so he moved Aesop’s arm away and stared down at him, before he sat up.
“Why are you here, I texted you we’re done.”
He looked away while Aesop sighed and plopped down on the bed.
Aesop didn’t really know how to feel about this one, or just these sort of arguments in general.
It’s already bad enough he gets in them with his father.
His father was dumb anyways, especially with the stupid dumb camera..
“Listen, I know your upset-“
“How?! All you do is w-worry about is school and your stupid job! You don’t care a-about anything except those t-two things!”
Victor cut him off as he then grabbed a pillow and started hitting Aesop with it.
“You never cared! I’m just. Some. Stupid. Toy!”
He screams at him with each hit, before Aesop grabbed the pillow and hit Victor back with it, and plopped it back afterwards where it was originally at.
“It’s not my fault, I need to do school so I won’t fail and let myself be left behind..”
He mumbles while he picks up the bag and places it next to Victor.
“And I need to work or I can’t get things for myself.. and especially you..”
Victor blinked as he then looked at the bag, and it of course it crushed Victor to see Aesop wasted his money on him, especially how he just acted.
“You still like marshmallows, right..?”
He looked at Victor, to watch him simply nod and take the peeps out of the bag.
“I..”
Victor only then looked at Aesop and teared up.
“I’m sorry for being selfish..”
He looked down afterwards before Aesop wrapped his arms around him.
“I can’t blame you. I’ve.. been ignoring you a lot, and I can’t always blame stress or school or the job..”
He said before kissing Victor’s cheek.
“I swear, I’ll give you more attention, I promise, especially after school is over..”
Ah, another promise? Should he even believe this one..?
And with that Victor pushed him back and huffed, he wasn’t gonna take this lie!
“H-How can I believe that!?”
Aesop was of course taken back by that, did he ruin that calm moment? All he did was promise Victor..
“What are you talking about..?”
Aesop tilts his head as he tries to get close to Victor again.
“Th-The other promises! The ones you clearly broke!”
And Aesop probably had to think about this one, maybe he promised a bit too much? Especially over such dumb things..
“I’m sorry, I’ll make it up to you, I swear..”
He then grabbed Victor’s hand but Victor only stared at the hand rather before Aesop.
“Are you sure y-you can swear..?”
He asks before Aesop gently kisses his hand.
“If my swearing doesn’t work, you can beat me up all you want with your pillows..”
He smiled at Victor, which Victor only lets out a giggle at the man.
“F-Fine..”
He replies back before slipping his hand free and hugging Aesop again.
“But just d-don’t hurt me again..”
He whispers, and then gives Aesop a small peck.
“I won’t, I’ll make sure of it..”
He hugged Victor quite tightly as he snuggled his head in his neck.
“Does th-this mean we're t-together again..?”
Victor asks before Aesop sighs.
“That’s up to you, you’re making those calls.”
And with that Victor only smiled, of course the answer was obvious, he didn’t want to leave Aesop anyways! Aesop Carl was his, and should only be his..
“I guess you c-can be my boyfriend a little l-longer..”
He says before Aesop shot up at him.
“A little longer? Do you mean forever!”
He huffs before he gently pushes Victor down on the bed before giving him some kisses on the face.
And he received some cute laughter back, just like the ones in the beginning of the journey of the relationship.
And the ones that always gave him butterflies, thankfully Victor loved them and always opened the cage to play with such creatures, Victor was just everyone's dream..
Aesop was lucky to scoop such a boy from this world, and he was gonna keep him for himself..
Maybe Victor was his main butterfly?
But, He wasn’t gonna share his butterfly, no, never.
Maybe he should cage Victor up..?
.
.
.
I wonder if Victor Carl sounds good?
