Work Text:
“Are you really feeling alright?”
Alberu asked before before sitting next to Cale.
“ Kind of.” Cale lied easily.
He was not alright, like always.
Quite the opposite in fact, he was feeling quite conflicted whether to tell the other or not.
The fact that after entering his current body, he had no idea how to dance and his daughter’s coming-of-age ceremony was coming up.
Just his luck. He could just not dance at all, but his daughter really wanted to dance with him. And his daughter rarely ever asked for something so he thought that it was fine to push himself for this.
But how, and where will he practice?
It was on his mind. He couldn’t just hire a tutor for dance since he was in his mid-twenties and that would raise suspicions amongst the other nobility, though he didn’t care, but he needed to keep a low profile for some time.
He would just prefer asking his lover to help him. He was better at it, he decided.
“Actually, I would like you to teach me how to dance.”
The partner chuckled.
“Seriously, adding with in your past life have you not danced even once?”
Cale shook his head.
“Of course not. That was a different era. Even though you’ve seen it, you should think before speaking, hyung”
“I was just teasing.” Alberu responded, chuckling, before getting up,
“then let’s begin.”
“Now?” Cale was a bit surprised at the sudden decision.
“then when else? I’m a busy person. I have time only now. Let’s get on with it.” He stretched his hand out,
“Come on.”
Alberu got up with the help, while laughing softly.
“ Lets see then.” Cale was a little shorter than Alberu.
“Will you take the woman’s part? ” he asked.
“Well you are the one needed to lead in that situation, aren’t you?”
Cale slowly wrapped his hand around the other’s waist and with the other hand held Alberu's hand.
“Good job. Have you been observing?”
“Yes, teacher.” They both laughed at the stupid joke.
They were both wearing pajamas, a pair of their own which they each kept in the other’s house.
Cale could only hear the wind, rustling of the nearby trees and his lover’s low voice. It was all so soothing as the other man counted,
“One, two three four. One two three four.” His lover looked especially lovely that night and the man was just thinking how lucky he was, that he wasn’t turned at the door when he had found the courage to confess. Cale hummed along a song from his childhood which was one of the only comforts Kim Rok Soo had owned in his childhood.
“What’s the song?”
“Weakness, by Eli Noir”
“From your planet?”
Calenodded.
“It’s pleasant.”
Alberu said, agreeing.
Just a simple night to teach his lover how to dance.
That’s all the reason he was doing this, nothing else
The man chuckled.
“This isn’t bad is it?
"We should do this more often.”
“Agreed”
Humming to the chorus, both of them danced in their nightwear. Nothing fancy, yet it was relaxing. Almost addicting.
