Work Text:
Eyes reach a stopping point once they are fully shut, the beautiful site of dew dripping from the pastel rainbow and dark greens disappears as everything else seems to take over. Soft, the petals are soft, like taut felt smooth and silky, a feeling of calm registers while petting the plants, touching every one of them to learn their differences and similarities, the blades of grass graze your skin leaving little cuts that the dew washes away. Surrounded by the scent of happiness as they sway longfully, hoping that one day they will be free from the rocky terrain and its uncomfortable weight, pulling them down, down, down, down, until they can no longer move from their spot, instead they sway. The leaves brushing past each other, a sound for the ears to absorb, calms heart rates as it flows through the skull, sweeping along the brain, smoothing every muscle as a slight chill goes along the spine. The air tastes of foliage as it picks up the pollen and allows it to float, traveling the wind as a pirate on the ocean, the soft smell of the flowers transmitting into a flavor of delight and relief.
The wind pushes you to a separate world, lost in a void to a happier place, a place to hide from the differences, where one can be equal to another and not have fear of judgement, from a cruel world that draws all the life till raw. A place that brings no consequences, allowing you to be free and hide from everything that terrifies you. It pulls you in until you are stuck in this world, never wanting to leave it as it is the only place you find comfort in, until you hear a noise that rips you out of your trance of delight.
