Chapter Text
“I’m sorry, Mr. Clegane, there is nothing more we can do. The cancer had spread over most of her body. At this point all we can do is make her comfortable until she goes.”
Sandor slumped down into a chair that, had his world not been shattered, he would have been surprised held his sudden dead weight.
“Ho-how long?”
“The cancer is pretty advanced.”
“How. Long.”
“A week. She is sleeping right now, but you can go see her.”
Sandor didn’t want to. Well, he wanted to see her, but he couldn’t see her with all those machines hooked up to her. He wasn’t that strong.
How had this happened?
He was the one who drank and had the occasional smoke. He was the one who added extra butter and salt to rich food and never wore sunscreen at the lake. He was the one whose idea of exercise these days was a good fuck. Sansa had always been…the exact opposite. Well she exercised and actively participated in a good hard fuck.
Hiding his face in his hands, Sandor wept. His large body curling in on itself, just as his world was. He didn’t care who witnessed his down fall, he succumb to the unrelenting force of helplessness.
