Ibara placed his pen on the desk and sighed. Although he has been working for hours, it somehow seemed he didn't make any progress, at this rate his performance as an idol would be affected and that was something that couldn't happen. Being one of the top three meant there was no room for mistakes, and Ibara couldn’t have the risk of dragging the unit down with him, Eden was his paradise and he had to protect it.
A knocked on the door was heard and the redhead gave the permission to enter. It was Jun, his unit mate and boyfriend. They started dating recently and things had been going well, both wanted to spend more time together but with all the idol work that was impossible, so the only time they had to themselves was nighttime.
"Ah, Jun! I was waiting for you!" Ibara saluted. "His Highness told me you had some trouble staying focused today, if something is bothering you please tell me. An idol's mental health is important!"
Jun already knew this was coming the moment Hiyori had asked him why he was having issues with his work. "No, it’s nothing…" The reason for his distraction was his worry for Ibara, but he had to be smart about this or else his boyfriend would just say he was fine and go back to work. "Have you been working the entire day?"
"Yes, and as promised I took a few breaks!" A few days ago Ibara had almost fainted due to exhaustion. The other three members of the unit were extremely worried and made the redhead promise he would take small breaks, staying so many hours inside an office focused on a computer and on paperwork would only hurt the idol.
The blue head nodded, he was glad Ibara was at least keeping his promise. To be honest Jun had no way of knowing if Ibara was telling the truth, but he chose to believe his boyfriend, after all Jun knew he could trust Ibara. "And have you eaten?"
"I have not, but it's nothing to worry about!"
"You should follow your own advice, y'know?" Jun looked at the pile of paperwork still had to see, maybe he could convince Ibara to stop for today. "Why don't we go back to the dorms? I can make something for you to eat."
"Unfortunately I cannot, if I don't take care of this- " Ibara glanced at the paperwork on his deck. "-it will have the risk of making everything else late."
"If you don't eat it will make you less focused."
The redhead sighed and ended up giving up, he couldn't say no to Jun. The couple went to the kitchen, Ibara wanted to help Jun cook but the idol had insisted the producer should rest.
The cooking didn't take long and the two idols ate dinner together.
'Eating dinner together… It's not bad…' Ibara thought. Maybe he could get used to this.
The producer still had some difficulty thinking of Eden has his family, but every time he was with Jun he felt at ease. Both Ibara and Jun had no experience in romance, but they helped and looked out for each other and that was enough.
"Ibara, let's go for a walk after we are done eating. Some fresh air will be good~"
"Yes! I could never refuse a request from my lovely soul mate!"
