It was early spring, the morning breeze still felt somewhat cold. cale henituse and the others were staying in harris villiage for almost 7 months now. it was leisurely period for them. cale was planning on going to the Ten Finger Mountain, the location of the final ancient power.
maybe it was because it was still a little cold or because he had a lot more to do at the end of spring, cale was sleeping, curled up in bed like he was hibernating.
"Young master-nim, it is time to wake up."
ron was trying to wake cale up. yet again like always he curled up more in bed.
"human human wake up, the sun is already up and its really warm" raon also urged cale to wake up.
cale woke up letting out a slight groan when the sun light hit his eyes as soon as he opened it.
in the mean time ron had already prepared lemon tea ad some light breakfast for him.
cale had washed his face and got out of the bathroom when he noticed raon was already eating breakfast. he noticed something was missing and asked
"where are on and hong"
"oh they are with the lock and the wolf children" raon said while stuffing his face with cookies
with a "i see" cale sat down on the chain and sipped the lemon tea that ron gave him with a disgruntled face 'ugh this vicious old man is messing with me'
"human human" raon, who had already finished eating his breakfast called cale out
"what is it"
"human i wanna go out"
"out? where?"
"just outside. i wanna stroll around"
'but i don't want to do something as annoying and energy draining as strolling around'
although cale had thought that, he still did not want a 5 year old like raon to stay at home all day
"okay i will ask hans to prepare a carriage and head out"
"no human" raon shook his head "i wanna go alone"
"alone? why?"
"yes i wanna look around on my own and check out other food stalls too. i am a great and mighty 5 year old dragon, i can do it" raon said puffing his chest
"but still" cale didn't know what to do
after giving is a lot of thought cale nodded and said "okay but you must not leave the henituse territory and do not do anything that will get you noticed by other people. if you promise me that, then i will let you go"
"yes yes i will be careful i promise"
'well he is a dragon so he should be fine' cale smiled and continued drinking his tea
with a little gust of wind, raon flew out.
"hey wait, how are you going to buy stuff, at least take some money...." before cale could even say anything, raon had already disappeared from his sight.
"guess he must be excited for his day out" cale let out a sigh and went out of his room with a little pouch of money
raon left harris village and entered inside the city in henituse teritory where a bustling street greeted him. there were a lot of people around, children running, salesmen shouting and advertising their goods. maybe because it was weekend that there were a lot more people than normal.
while flying around, of course, in his invisible form, he observed people down in the street. the more he looked, the more he found it amazing as to how many different kinds of people there where in the world.
while looking around for a while, he saw a stall that was selling bread.
mom buy me one please, he saw a kid urging his mom to buy him one.
after pleading so much, the mother finally gave in and bought a small piece of bread loft.
'that looks tasty' raon thought as he observed the child who was cheering with joy as his mother gave him the bread
gulp
raon gulped and flew towards the stall with a growling stomach.
when he finally reached the bread stall, a realization finally hit him,
'i don't have any money nor can i buy stuff while being invisible' raon regretted dashing out and not asking his human what to do in these kind of situation. up until now it was always his human who had given him anything he needed.
with an unhappy 'guess it can't be helped' face he turned around with his stomach still growling.
just when he was about to fly away, he froze after he heard a familiar phase
"i will take three of those, nyaa"
'nyaa?'
when he turned back, he noticed a 9 year old girl with silver hair and a 8 year old boy who was holding the girl's hand approach to where raon was floating with bread in their hand
"shall we go nyaa" the girl said looking up, if people saw they would think she was talking to air but she knew that a certain someone was there floating while flapping his wings
when they reached an empty area, a little farther away from city, where there were no people around, raon undid his invisibility spell , looking at the cat tribe siblings who were in their human form, he shouted with excitement and surprise
"what are you guys doing here"
"cale sent us nyaa" hong said while giving raon the bread they just bought
"he said you probably don't have any money to buy anything plus you can't even show yourself so he sent us. rosalyn was the one who teleported us here" on said while she looked at her youngest sibling's overjoyed face
"and we know the area the best so we can show you around nyaa"
hong puffed up his chest.
"hehe thank you" raon really appreciated the siblings being there.
"lets go after we finish eating nyaa" on said when both her siblings shouted "yes"
on & hong were showing raon around and telling him about the stores and places.
they had reached a little father from the city gates, while listening to the siblings, raon's eyes landed on a tree that looked really healthy and was about to grow more leaves as it was the start of spring
"that tree used to be dead black nyaa" hong said when he noticed raon looking at the tree
"it was a very scary tree, the people around here avoided going near it, right noona? we were scared too" hong added as he looked at his noona who had made a face full of nostalgia
"thats true"
"but how did it become so healthy then? did someone use magic?"
"nope, it became like this when cale visited it"
"our human did?"
"yes, nyaa. we were so scared thinking that the human who looked so weak would be eaten by that scary tree"
"how did human make this tree heathly?"
"by feeding him bread nyaa"
"bread? so trees eat bread?" raon flew around with joy as if a child who had just learned something new and amazing. "so then when we make our own home, we should plant many trees and feed it bread everyday so it would grow big and healthy like this one"
"yes nyaa"
while the two children were discussing about raising plants by feeding it bread, on looked at the now green tree and remembered that time like it was just yesterday
"You can't approach that t-tree!"
Cale ignored that warning. He heard another worried voice as well.
"You can't go there! It's a man-eating tree!"
"You're going to die! Don't do it!"
Cale pressed his temples with his fingers.
"Sigh."
Cale frowned as he turned his head around. When he did, he noticed a girl who seemed to be around 10 years old, holding her younger brother's hand while looking at him. Her eyes were full of concern.
Seeing that Cale was frowning and staring at her, the young girl stumbled on her words and started to mumble.
"It's a man-eating tree. You're going to d, die."
"I won't die."
Cale took two breads out of the bag and threw it toward the little girl. It didn't matter if it rolled on the ground because they were all individually wrapped.
"Take that and get lost."
"You two don't know about Cale the trash?"
The young girl's face turned pale. Her younger brother just looked toward Cale before picking up the other bread for his sister and started to tug on her arm.
"Noona."
"Uh huh."
The young girl looked back and forth at the tree and Cale even as she was being pulled.
"You can't die."
"he didn't die nyaa" on mumbled with a smile full of nostalgia.
"aren't you coming noona?"
on snapped out of her thought when she heard her younger, who had already gone ahead, call her out.
"i am coming nyaa"
she dashed towards her brothers after quickly putting a small piece of bread near the tree.
they walked around for quite some time, visited different food stalls, well mostly just food stalls, when they noticed it was already late evening.
"guess its time to go home" on said and noticed the disappointment in hong's face. raon was invisible but she could guess that he too must be making the same face now.
"lets ask cale and come back tomorrow too" on tried to cheer her younger siblings up
"yes yes lets come tomorrow too nyaa, i will show you new places" hong jumped around telling that too raon
"yes lets do that" raon who was still invisible shouted out loud.
just when raon was preparing the teleportation circle to go home, he heard a scream
kyaaaa my child, someone save my child. the.... the bandit is taking my child away
just when the children averaging 9 heard the scream, a man with big built passed them with a very fast speed.
"it looks like he is using magic nyaa" on let out a gasp
"what should we do, what should we do, the ....the human told me to not get noticed" raon who seemed to be panicking snapped out when he noticed that on had already dashed out chasing the bandit while letting out faint fog
before he knew it, the man was already surrounded by fog
"what the hell, why is there fog all of a sudden" the man was flailing his arms around trying to get rid of fog when he noticed that the fog was slowly turning red
"what the fuck"
"uwaaah mom dad save me" the child was crying for help while being swung around in the mans arm
"hey shut up.. shi.. shit, what the fuck is happening" the man could feel his legs going numb
"its paralyzing poison nyaa"
the man noticed a red hair and a silver hair kid approaching him.
"shii... damnn brats" the man shouted while trying to get up with his shaking legs
"its no use nyaa" the silver haired girl who had already approached him, tried to take away the kid
"shit.. get away"
just when the man swung his dagger towards on, he felt like he hit something hard
'is this a shield, shit a brat like this knows magic'
it was raon's shield.
on then smirked and tried to snatch the child away when suddenly the man pushed on away.
he lost his footing, because of that the kid who was in his arms fell down. just when he was about to grab him again, the kid too lost his balance and started rolling down the cliff.
"nooo" on screamed
but before she knew it, he noticed the kid floating in air. while hong mixed sleeping poison in the fog and made the man unconscious, on approached the kid.
"you can let him down now" on said when raon slowing let the kid down
"don't cry nyaa, its alright nyaa" on said while wiping the kid's tears who barely looked like a 5 year old
"he won't stop crying nyaa"
then a piece of bread suddenly appeared in front of him. raon remembered , this was the same kid who was urging his mother to buy him bread in the bread stall.
the kid was startled and a bit scared by it
"its alright take it nyaa"
"are... are you the one who saved be from falling?" the kid asked in a very low and scared voice.
but there was no response, it was like he was talking to air
"yes he is nyaa, he is a little shy so he won't come out"
"tha... thank you" the kid said while walking towards raon, of course he didn't know where he was. he, then put something down and said with a low voice but this time he was not scared "please.. please take this. this is my favorite so this is my thanks for saving my life"
a women and some knight had already approached him
"oh my baby are you alright? are you hurt?" the women hugged her child making sure he wasn't hurt anywhere
"mom" the kid hugged her back crying
"hey kid are you alright. what happened, how did this bandit faint here?" the knight asked him with a surprised expression.
"they saved me" the kid turned around and pointed to the direction the silver haired kid was standing but no one was there
"who??" the knight looked around but there was no one around
"sigh lets just go" the knight then took fainted bandit and walked towards the city
the kid who was holding his mom's hand turned around one last time, he noticed the brooch he left on the ground being carried away by wind. with a big smile he waved a goodbye.
"time for us to go too nyaa" on said while looking at her two dongsaeng

cale looked at his watch again
'they aren't home yet. did they get in trouble? no no it can't be. besides on is there with them, she is more mature than she looks. maybe i am just thinking too much'
"i think they will be fine" noticing cale's troubled expression, choi han walked beside him
"i know" cale said with a blank expression.
'pfft' choi han let out a faint laugh
'whats wrong with him' cale thought as he opened the door to his room only to notice two cats and a dragon sleeping in the bed
"geez they are back, they should have said something"
while choi han had already parted ways with cale in front of cale's room, he walked towards the children and noticed dirt around the bed
"what have they been doing to get this dirty"
just when he was about to wake them up to get them to bathe, he noticed the soundly sleeping 5 year old dragon clutching something
'whats this' cale got closer when took the thing out of raon's paws
"what the..." cale almost let out a swear
'haaah they are already making stuff like these' cale let out a long sigh while he put the brooch which had a exaggerated silver shield with wings design on it, back in raon's paws
"guess they had a fun day out"
cale closed the window curtain so the wind won't wake the soundly sleeping children.
