Kuroo and Bokuto had dragged Akaashi and Kenma to yet another place to “have fun”. This time it was the mall.
“OH! LETS GO INTO THE NIKE STORE! AGHASHEE LETS GOOO!” Bokuto was screaming at his kouhai once again.
“No, Bokuto-san.”
Kuroo just laughed and hit Bokuto on the shoulder. Bokuto pouted. Kenma grabbed Kuroo’s hand and pointed at the game store. Kuroo chuckled again and walked into the shop.
“Akaashi, why can’t we go to the nike store?” Bokuto whined, giving Akaashi puppy dog eyes.
“Because i saw that game store ten minutes ago, and figured it was only a matter of time.”
“A matter of time for what?” The owl-haired boy wondered.
“Just us to go. You and Kuroo together in there would get us kicked out. We can go to the nike store, Bokuto-San.”
“Oh. THANKS Kaashiiii!” The taller exclaimed.
He was happy Akaashi had been so thoughtful.
“Mhm. Let’s go, Bokuto-San.” The pair walked side by side into the Nike store. Bokuto claimed he needed new knee pads, which Akaashi knew wasn’t true, because his peculiar thigh-high knee pads were in top condition.
“Bokuto-San, no you don’t. We’ll just have a look around and if you see anything you like, i’ll go find Kenma and Kuroo-san and wait with them for you to pay.”
Bokuto gasped. “No, Akaashi, don’t leave me. You know I can’t function without you!” Bokuto was wide eyed.
“Bokuto-san, what makes you think that? your almost a full fledged adult now, you can handle yourself. I’m just here to keep you in check, for a little while at least.” The raven haired boy looked confused. What could Bokuto be talking about?
Bokuto looked away, a blush dusting his cheeks. He mumbled under his breath, too quiet for anyone but Akaashi to hear.
“Why can’t it be forever...”
Akaashi was shocked. “What? Bokuto-san, did i just hear you correctly?”
Bokuto looked at the younger. “I told you already, Akaashi, just Bokuto is fine. You don’t need to use formalities with me.” He went back to examining a hoodie that had caught his interest.
“Alright, sorry Bokuto-san- Bokuto. But what are you talking about, forever? Your graduating in just a few months. Going off to play professional volleyball, then i’m going to college. Of course I’ll stay in touch, but you have to take care of yourself.” Akaashi walked over to his senpai.
“I know, but..” Bokuto took a deep breath. “Ilikeyouakaashi” He blurted out, way too fast for even an interpreter to understand.
“Bokuto, can you repeat that please? Like, At regular speed?” Akaashi asked.
Bokuto put his face in his hands, but you could still he the crimson pigment in his cheeks. “Akaashi, I like you okay? I know that’s weird and you probably don’t return my feelings because your so perfect and i’m so not but i can help it and you don’t have to say anything but-“
He was cut off by Akaashi jumping on him, wrapping his arms around him. Bokuto was caught of guard, but caught the younger easily.
Akaashi giggled. “Do you know how long i’ve been waiting to hear that? So long. Bokuto, I like you too.” He smiled, a rare sight that made Bokuto’s heart melt every time he saw it.
“Hey, look if your not going to buy anything, please leave, this isn’t a love hotel.” A security guard approached the two smiling boys.
Akaashi jumped back onto the ground, blushing even more. “I’m so sorry sir, we’re leaving now.” He grabbed the older boys hand and dragged him out of the store.
Kenma and Kuroo were waiting, leaning against the railing. A bag full of games, no doubt, was in Kenma’s hands.
“Well, that was quite a show.” Kuroo smirked, and Akaashi realized that their whole confession charade could be seen through the window of the sportswear store.
“Oh god, that’s embarrassing.” He leaned onto Bokuto, hiding his face.
Bokuto put his arms around Akaashi. “It better have been. Been building up the courage for that since practice last week.” He laughed.
Akaashi just groaned. “Whatever, at least we confessed I guess.” He put his arms around Bokuto’s neck.
Bokuto smiled. “So, wanna be my boyfriend? Please?” He asked Akaashi.
The ravenette smiled. “Of course, Bokuto.” He gave Bokuto a tiny peck on his lips, then broke the embrace and walked over Kenma.
“Got any good games?” He asked kenma. “I’ll have to come over and try them out with you sometime.”
Kenma shrugged. “Sure, I don’t care, as long as it keeps this rooster away.” He shoved Kuroo, who proceeded to shout something along the lines of ‘you wound me’ and fall into Bokuto’s waiting arms.
Akaashi rolled his eyes. “Come on, you two. Let’s go find more stores.” He held his hand out for Bokuto to hold.
Bokuto let go of Kuroo. “Sorry bro.” He told him, rushing over to Akaashi to take hold of his hand. Kuroo joined them on Kenma’s other side, and the four walked off to continue shopping.
