Chapter 1: First Meeting

Chapter Text

“Nothing-“ Dean growled angrily, “How have we found nothing useful. I mean- whatever’s doing this is clearly not human but how have we found no leads!”

“Well let’s think about it, where are these people going missing?” Sam asks as Dean pulls up to the motel. The two think as they go to check into their room and head to bed. Though Dean laid down Sam decided to look over what they did have. From the looks of it, it seemed that people were going missing after heading out to bars and clubs. Sam thinks and taps his foot- that’s where they should start.

The younger Winchester brother walks over to the bed and nudges Dean. The older sibling groaned in annoyance as he sat up.
“What is it Sammy?”

“Dean, we should head out. I’ve been looking over what we have. All of the missing people have reported to have disappeared from a specific night club. I think maybe we should go check it out,” Sam suggests. Dean thinks and rubs his eyes before he nods and pulls himself up.

“Yah, Yah. Good thinking,” Dean said, “I’m definitely sleeping in tomorrow though-“ Sam rolled his eyes and nodded. The two brothers got ready, trying to dress as normal as they could. The two didn’t fully know what they were looking for- the information had been limited but there was something familiar about it though. Neither brother could put their finger on it. The two get in the car and begin to head to the club, Q Nightclub. Pretty close by.

“Where are you two going?” Both brothers jump at the sudden words before looking back and seeing Castiel sitting in the back.

“Jesus Christ Cas! What have I told you about doing that!” Dean snaps.

“I apologize, but where are you too off to?” Cas asks looking between the two.

“To a club, to look out for whatever’s killing people,” Sam explains as Cas nods. The angel had been busy for a bit, and he wanted to check in on the Winchesters.

“I can accompany you,” Cas said nodding, “Just to make sure you two don’t get targeted.” Dean was about to complain but before he could Sam just nods a bit. With that the two hunters and the angel were going to a club.

————

“We believe the unsubs are a group. They don’t have a specific type of victim. We believe they could be ritualistic killings, the bodies that were found were missing some key parts. The brains, chunks of flesh, and other strange parts which can’t be recovered.”

“A cannibal cult?” Morgan asks, looking a bit shocked, “You can’t be serious?”

“Cannibalism is actually a lot more common then people suspect. Throughout history it’s been a common practice for many different reasons. The idea of a group of people consuming flesh together isn’t far- fetched,” Spencer adds.

“So what’s the plan, Hotch?” Prentiss asks.

“The abductions seem to only be happening at one location. A nightclub,” Hotch said, “We need to go undercover and scope it out. Morgan, Reid. You two head there tonight. Don’t let anyone know who you are.” The two nod as Morgan stands up and pat’s Reid’s shoulder.

“Let’s get going,” he said as Spencer follows after him.
“You really think these sickos are eating people?”

“I mean, it matches up with the bodies. The chunks looked bitten off,” Reid said. The two continue to chat heading to the listed club. When the two arrive Reid takes a nervous breath as the two walk inside. It was loud, and bright. Spencer hated it. He really hated it. He turned to Morgan but saw his partner had already walked off. Spencer just heads to look around also. It was pretty easy for him to go unnoticed. Eventually though he couldn’t take it anymore, it was just too much. Spencer slipped off to find somewhere less loud, this led him to be standing outback. Unaware of anyone else in the same alleyway. That was until he felt a firm grip on his arm.

————

Sam had been left alone pretty fast. Dean and Cas went off together to get a drink leaving Sam as the designated driver. As opposed as he was to the angel drinking Sam hoped it would make them look more natural. The youngest Winchester was looking for something. Honestly anything out of place. He didn’t find anything though. No one looked out of place. Well until he noticed something strange. A dog that was just staring at him, before pawing at the back door, like it was waiting for him. Sam decides it’s the closest thing he has to lead so he follows it.

The dog was friendly when Sam reached it. If not a bit worried, pawing at the door more. Sam opens it and the dog darts out. Sam follows and that’s when he sees it. There were two men. One was pushed up against the wall, his mouth covered, and a gun laying on the ground, clearly been kicked away. The pinned boy was clearly panicked as he tried to fight back but physically couldn’t. It didn’t take a genius to see what was happening. The dog barks at the man and growled angrily.

“Hey! What the fuck!” Sam yells as he walks over. The guy looked shocked as he turned around, the dog jumped at him sinking his teeth into the man’s arm. That received a scream as he tries to attack the dog, letting go of the boy who quickly runs and snatches his gun. When the dog lets go the man bolts off.

“You ok?” Sam asks as he goes to help the boy. He just nods as he rubs his eyes.

“Yah- thank you for that,” he said and smiled a bit at Sam. Sam nods and just turns to the dog.

“Your dog is really well trained, he was waiting by the door and everything,” Sam points out as he goes to pet the satisfied looking dog.

“Huh? Oh! That’s not my dog. I don’t have any pets. I assumed it was yours,” the other said, turning to the dog as well.

“Oh…huh-“ Sam said, confused. The dog just looks up at them happily.
“Strange, anyway, this dog saved you. I’m Sam by the way. You are?”

“Spencer,” the other said hesitating for a moment before he holds his hand out awkwardly. Sam nods and shakes his hand back.

“You want me to take you home? Or go get you a drink?” Sam asks.

“My friend is here so I should probably just go and find him- I really shouldn’t have come out here. Thank you again, Sam,” Spencer said as he goes to walk inside. If he was a bit calmer he definitely would have recognized Sam’s face- but still being overstimulated and the stress of almost being assaulted made him not think that much about it. Sam follows him though, the dog following. He was still worried about Spencer.

“Ok, let me buy you a drink though?” Sam asks, he didn’t fully know what he was doing. He just wanted to talk to the other more. He also wanted to make sure that creep didn’t double back. Spencer just nods a bit. So the two make their way to the bar and get a drink for Spencer- Sam had to remember he was the driver.

“So what are you doing out here? You don’t seem like the club kinda guy,” Sam said looking down at Reid. The agent just shrugs a bit taking a small sip, he wrinkles his nose slightly but it did kinda help. He knew it was unwise to drink but- the music was already starting to get to him.

“Oh, I’m just here with my friend. He…wanted to go out and dragged me along,” Spencer lies as he smiled a bit at the other.
“Why are you here?”

“My brother and his boyfriend dragged me here,” Sam said and sighed, “They're off in here somewhere.”

“Well, thank you again for helping me,” Spencer said as he just finished the drink.

“No problem,” Sam said, as he nodded his head.

“Uh- here!” Spencer said and grabbed a small paper out of his pocket and scribbled his number down onto it before he handed it to the other.
“Just in case you ever want to talk again.”

Sam smiled and pockets it nodding, “Alright! I’ll definitely give you a call. I don’t really want to leave you alone- I’ll help you find your friend before I go and find my brother.”

Spencer nods as the two walk around, bumping into a few people. Eventually Spencer begins to walk directly to someone, Sam follows behind.

“Morgan,” Spencer said as he approaches the other.

“Reid? Wow- are you ok?” the new man, Morgan, said as he looked over.

“Yah, I’m fine now,” Spencer said, nodding. Morgan looks over at Sam as he frowned. Sam knew that was never a good sign so he just nodded a bit.

“Well I have to go, see you later,” Sam said as he walked away as fast as he could. As he walked away he faintly could hear.

“That guy- I know I’ve seen him somewhere.”

Ah crap. Who did he just talk to? Sam knew he had to find Dean and Cas and they should leave. If he had been paying more attention he would have noticed a boy with white hair and familiar blue eyes staring at him, and the dog was nowhere to be seen. Though Sam wasn’t paying attention, he saw his brother and made a direct line for him.

“Hey, Dean. We need to go now,” Sam warned, “I don’t know who but I think we might have been recognized.”

“By who?” Dean asked, clearly confused.

“I don’t know but he was trying to figure out who I am,” Sam said. Cas frowned as he nodded. The two stood up and quickly made their way to the exit. They basically ran to the car and left.

————

“What do you mean you recognize him?” Spencer asked as he looked at Morgan, the other was trying to think then it hit him.

“No, it couldn’t be. Come on Reid. I think we found our killers,” Morgan said as he pulled his phone out. Spencer didn’t listen though, he just followed the other to the exit. It was too much again. He began to shake his left hand back and forth a bit aggressively, he began to feel better once they were outside.

“Reid? You ok?” Morgan asked as he noticed the other’s clearly panicked. Spencer just nodded a bit as he opened the car door and sat down fast. Morgan sat next to the other as he frowned.
“Reid- what happened?”

“I…it was nothing. I just- it was loud and too much, so I went out back to calm down-” Spencer began to explain. He told Morgan the entire story including the strange dog and how he gave Sam his number. Morgan looked furious by the end of the story.

“I shouldn’t have left you alone- sorry,” Morgan said as he began to drive back to the place they were staying. Spencer just laid his head against the window and closed his eyes, finally letting himself relax.
