Summary:

It is a post good ending fic.

Very short, may continue.

Work Text:

Two monochrome figures stood.

The sound of a knife clanking against the floor could be heard.

One figure hugged the other.

Then there was one.

And, soon enough, there was none.

WELCOME TO FARAWAY

YOU'VE LIVED HERE

OMORI opened his eyes, as stoic as they were... Before said stoic look widened into a look of utter shock.

How was he still here? After what had happened... He had guessed he was done for.

He still didn't know how he had come to. He tried to remember what had happened, he closed his eyes.

... SUNNY. He was the last thing he saw before he woke up here. OMORI's hands tightened, as he frowned slightly. He wagered that SUNNY either couldn't get rid of him, or didn't know he was here.

However, as he tightened his hands, he slowly realized that he was gripping grass. His eyes opened wide yet again, which was when he noticed that there was a blue sky, instead of the white sky he had grown so used to.

He sat up to look around. He seemed to be in... a forest. It wasn't the forest he had grown somewhat fond of, where he would play with his friends, but instead... It was a normal forest. As normal as it gets, either way.

He wasn't in WHITE SPACE anymore. Ussually, when he came to, he would wake up there, but looking left and right, there was no MEWO, no computer, no blanket, no tissue box, no knife to bring with himself elsewhere.

His... OMORI wouldn't call it heart, he had never considered himself human- he didn't have a heart, but he felt his metaphorical heart sink. It was also when he looked at his own body, and he realized something else had changed. His black white colors he stopped questioning long, long ago, had changed. He was still pale white, but he was... well, a dream-like blue, not to dissimilar from his friends in HEADSPACE.

OMORI, in his new form.

The significance of this, OMORI didn't understand. He inspected his hands closely as well. Aside from the shift in hue, they seemed to be alright... but why were they shaking?

In fact, he could feel his whole being shaking. He didn't understand why, he was never one to have emotions, outside of vague, strong feelings that would come to effect in battles. He could keep his emotions in check in far more treacherous situations, why was he shaking, with no threat in sight as well? Perhaps, he didn't quite understand it now, but he did feel in danger, even if it was subconsciously.

What he didn't understand also, was what he saw from a distance. It was a town. He had only known of this town in passing, a suburbian town that looked... incredibly normal. With a lot of detail, even. He almost thought that he had somehow gotten outside of SUNNY's head...

But that didn't make sense. Not to OMORI, at least. Why would he be here? Why would SUNNY be able to bring beings out of his mind? If that were the case, wouldn't he have brought--

Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Calm down.

Now it is not the time to lose your head.

... He looked down at his hands, now back to being perfectly still. He questioned his purpose here.... Which was concerning. Why was he thinking so much about this? He used to nonchalantly take things at face value. He closed his hands firmly, and got up. He would figure out what was going on.

He walked out of the forest, and into FARAWAY TOWN.
