Once upon a time, a little boy lived with his mother in a castle overlooking a small village. The little boy was lonely, for his mother was a powerful but cruel witch who kept him hidden away from the others for fear of losing him. Yet, he managed to befriend one person, a little girl from the village below who, unlike the other villagers, did not fear the boy or his mother because of their power.
The little boy knew his mother could never know of his friend, so they would meet in secret under the dark of the new moon. With the adventures they had, the boy found a cure from his loneliness and in the girl his closest of confidants.
Years passed and the little boy became a man, just as the little girl became a woman. And just as they grew, so did did their love for one another. The boy began to devise a plan to run away with the girl so they could live free of the confines of their village. He worked to keep the girl and his plans secret, but a mother always knows what’s in her son’s heart. The witch learned of the little girl and became furious at her son’s betrayal. To punish him, she sent her legions of wolves to find the girl and tear her apart. The boy tried to warn the girl but he was too late. He found her in pieces and the witch was confident her son had lost his only friend for good.
The boy, however, had tricks up his sleeve. His mother had bestowed magical gifts upon him that he knew he could use to heal his friend. Using a magic thread, he sewed the pieces of the little girl back together until she was whole again. Then, capturing a lightning bolt from the heavens, he put life back into her body.
The girl awoke, finding herself once more among the living thanks to the little boy. Together, hand in hand, they fled the castle of the wicked witch until finding a castle of their own, one made of iron. The boy, becoming lord of his new domain, created a kingdom where he could finally live happily and made the little girl his bride. Together they ruled over their kingdom in peace and joy away from the cruelty of the witch.
Together they lived, happily ever after. The end.
