Summary:

Ada Wong is suddenly distracted by the idea of reuniting with a certain blonde agent. Only this time, she’s hit with unexpected news.

Chapter Text

Ada checked the sports watch on her left wrist; thirty seconds left.

On the roof of an abandoned twelve story building, she layed on her stomach positioning herself holding a sniper rifle. With her long legs crossed, she wore a black leather body suit and calve high stiletto boots.

With one eye closed, and the other peering through the scope, her target entered the premises with five others who she assumed were his bodyguards.

Ada redied herself and counted down the final seconds, gently letting out a quiet breath. She clenches the handle of the gun, aiming right in between the forehead.

She waited for the woman blocking her target to move, and then the trigger was pulled in less than a second. The bullet pierced through his skull, followed by the remains of his brain and blood. Those that surrounded him immediately ducked, pulling out their weapons to locate the shooter but she was already dissembling the weapon, placing it in its case.

Ada then stands, now heading straight to her exit route, pulling out her grapple gun. She aims it onto the edge and pulls the trigger. The wire zips out, latching onto the edge, and then she jumps, landing onto the hard ground effortlessly.

She walks to her motorcycle, her stride was calculated as her boots clicked against the pavement, one stilleto placed delicately in front of the other.

She reaches her parked black Ducati panigale V2, swinging her long leg over to sit on the comfortable rider seat. She fires up the engine, placing the helmet on her head. The blissful sound of the motorcycle cracked up, she joins the traffic onto the busy road, accelerating to her next destination.

Now in an extravagant casino in Las Vegas, Ada was glowing in a black andie stretch crepe Halston dress. After concluding a meeting with one of her clients, she found herself sat at the bar, and lit a cigarette, blowing perfect smoke rings.

With nothing to do but pass the time, she was extremely bored.

Ada didn't gamble, she knew her way around though but at this moment in time, she wasn't interested.

A few men caught her eye earlier, but again, she wasn't interested.

Although, she hadn't slept with a man for months, the urge just hadn't been there for a while. A long while even.

Ada Wong, celibate, the thought amused her.

There were times where she might have bedded different men, if they were attractive and appealed to her, didn't want any entanglements and were prepared for her brisk, 'Don't call me, I'll call you.'

Either that or those who were
mission assignments.

She liked getting laid when she felt like it, without the hassle of a relationship.

Of course there was always the exception, in Ada's life there had only been one. Leon Scott Kennedy.

He was still the most attractive man she had ever seen, not just his exceptional good looks, but everything about his character, saving her life more than once. She could go on.

But, they couldn't work. Working on opposite sides, a relationship would send them both to their deaths. It was too risky.

Despite that, they both wanted it, and did.

They had an encounter one time, crossing paths in a gala and there was Leon to greet her. She hadn't seen him since Spain.

'You look sensational' He had complimented her, and it didn't take long for them to sense the heat of the desire between them just like in Spain.

'You clean up well' she had answered quickly. The electricity charged between them like firecrackers. But the timing wasn't right, not here, not like this.

So Ada stepped back, said her temporary farewell, knowing she would cross paths with him again, and managed to get through the evening in a heightened state of sexual anticipation. Leon did too.

The same night, they had dined together, discussed old times, and when she was at the door of her suite, he said 'I'll come in.’

He was so close, she could feel his breath on her cheek.

Ada had realised she had desired him more than she had desired anyone in her life.

But, she spoke sweetly, wished him a good night, and closed the door before she could weaken.

She had wanted him, but only on her terms.

Drowning down the rest of her dirty martini, Ada tipped the bartender, climbing off the stool. Outside the lounge, the huge casino rocked with action. She cruised around for a while, noticing the customers in their weird and wonderful outfits.

She wanted to get laid. Bad.

Ada went to the front desk, and requested keys to an empty suite, then she started to cruise again. It couldn't just be anybody, there had to be a certain sexual chemistry, it had been a long while.

She spots a man, playing Russian roulette alone. He was Caucasian, dressed in a tuxedo, short black hair, tall. A bit rugged looking.

But she abruptly turns away.

She was lonely, she just needed someone anonymous to give her what she wants and then disappear quietly.

After scouting her surroundings, she walks back to the man at the Russian roulette table.

He looks up at her as they now faced each other.

"You're just the man I'm looking for." Then she takes him by the hand, adding a mysteriously "Come with me" and leads him to the nearest elevator. He didn't even protest, she looked exotic.

Once inside the elevator, she presses against him, and kisses him long and hard.

And the heated kiss continued, until they had reached the floor to her suite for the night. She guides him to the door, as they both entered.

He follows, and kisses her again. Ada proceeds to remove her dress but then she suddenly stops, breaking the kiss and stares at him.

What the hell was she doing?

She doesn't say anything, and steps back zipping up the dress she was about to step out of. Might as well end this scene. And fast.

She strolls to the door opening it.

"Leave."

He stands, dumbstruck and confused, panting hard not believing what just happened - this strikingly beautiful woman had come on to him like a steamroller and unexpected instant action.

Vegas was truly a wild place.

He sighs, deciding to leave quietly still tasting her on his lips and admires her once more as she stood with her hand on the doorknob, waiting.

"Look, whoever you are-"

"Don't think anything of it. I saw you, liked you and thought we could equal to great sex. It's simple but I was wrong." She interrupts, leaving him speechless. He opens his mouth to speak again.

"I'm sure we've all made mistakes before. Why don't we just forget the whole thing?"

Ada was suddenly bored of him, this entire incident was a mistake.

"Whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas right?" He winks at her licking his lips deciding to add a little charm but she shows no reaction.

So much for getting lucky tonight, he thought.

He walks out, she closes the door, sighing out loud.

Get your shit together. She thought to herself.

The memory consumes her thoughts once again, she walks to the couch and lazily throws herself on it, falling on her back. She stares at the ceiling.

The same night, a knock on her door woke her up, she slipped out of covers and slipped on her silk kimono gown.

Standing behind the door was the man she had turned down a few hours ago. Leon stepped in and closed the door. She didn't move.

He spoke her name, once, very quietly. And without further ado, he pulled the sensuous sheath of her gown from her body with expert strong hands. He was mesmerised by the sight in front of him.

She felt like a swimmer ready to take a plunge, expectant, excited and ready to excel. He was on a dangerous tide, and she couldn't seem to stop herself from taking it.

She did not kiss him, or reach out to touch him.

Standing there naked, she wanted to see just how good he was and waited for his next move.

With great care, Leon stepped in and walked her to the bed, pushing her down to it. Then, he kissed her. He hauled himself against her and his mouth delivered like it promised.

He was good, she almost lost sense to where she was at.

"Get your clothes off." She murmured impatiently,

"What if I don't?" He grinned, burying his face in her neck.

"Get them off, Leon. Now."

So he did.

He certainly had a great touch, as he explored her body.

She hit the plateau, hard and it was worth waiting for.

The black Mercedes pulls to stop in the garage of her house. Ada steps out, heading straight inside. She walks across her dark living room, up towards the spiral staircase.

Relived to be home, she sees the red light flashing on her answering machine and then stops.

The only people who contacted her were former clients, or those who were given recommendations by them interested in her line of work. She presses play, heading to the master bathroom.

*MESSAGE ONE, UNKNOWN*

Slipping out of her tracksuit, she turns the shower faucet on, briefly running a hand through the water to feel the temperature.

"Ms Wong, congratulations on another successful mission. We are pleased to inform you that your reward has been transferred to you. Until next time."

*END OF MESSAGE TWO*

Ada pays the statement no mind and removes the rest of her undergarments. She slides the glass door open to step inside the now steamed shower.

*MESSAGE TWO, UNKNOWN*

"Hello Ms Wong. I've heard great things about you, and I hope we can meet to discuss a very important assignment. Don't hesitate to contact me. I hope to hear from you."

*END OF MESSAGE TWO*

Ada washes herself thoroughly, and lets the water run along her body.

*MESSAGE THREE, UNKNOWN*

"Ada, it's me Leon."

Her head turns towards the sound of his voice, as she gently washes the shampoo out of her hair. She closes her eyes, tilting her head back.

So here you are.

"Somethings happened. Look, how soon can you drop by? Call me back."

Ada stands there, letting her thoughts wander to what the urgency could be, but there were more important matters. She sighs, stepping out of the shower, grabbing a large white towel to wrap around her wet body.

The light of the sunset seeped in through the large windows, as she entered her bedroom.

She towel dries her hair, and searches her underwear drawer, picking out one of her favourite black laced panties.

She retrieves her phone from the king sized bed and stares at it, holding it out in front of her.

It couldn't be a coincidence. Just when she almost had anonymous sex with a random pickup, he summons her.

Ada sighs, still staring at her phone. She should be contacting her next employers, for her next assignment. No putting her work life on hold for a man who's life she saved a few times. Not to mention a highly trained government agent, someone she couldn't afford to meddle with, personally.

But, she already did and it had been months.

She looks over to her empty bed, reminiscing the times she had spent with him.

She was lying to herself if she claimed not to have missed him.

With her decision made, she slips into her Egyptian silky covers, comfort hitting her at once, with a smirk on her face.

When her cell phone's ringtone pulled her from a deep sleep, Ada figured who the caller was. She reaches towards the nightstand, grabbing the device in her hands and answers.

"Make it quick." In the darkness, she reaches to turn the lamp switch on.

"Ada, get out of there now."

She immediately swings her legs from the bed, sitting on it now.

"Now isn't the time for jokes Leon. I didn't think you were that keen on seeing me."

"This isn't a joke. You need to leave now-"

Her attention drifts from his voice towards the unfamiliar sound inside her home.

She stands, wearing nothing but her underwear, phone still in her ear. She makes her way to the walk in closet, straight to a hidden safe behind her clothes, and types in the combination code.

"You bastard, you set me up?" Amusement in her voice, she retrieves her Beretta, along with two magazines.

"What? No! Just get out of there!"

She opens a large drawer and grabs a black duffel bag, then quickly slips into a pair of black jeans, and a black polo neck, grabbing a leather jacket on her way out.

"What the hell are you doing?" Leon asks impatiently,

"I can't escape naked now can I?" She hears silence on the other end, a playful smirk forms on her lips.

"Say, I think this bra is similar to the one I wore during our last rendez-vous. You remember?" She slips the jacket on, pulling up the zipper.

"Ada, you have intruders in your home right now, get out of there!"

Ada throws her duffel bag over her shoulder and then draws her gun, slowly tiptoeing towards the staircase. She activates a self destruct bomb, setting the timer to two minutes. Moving shadows catch her attention, she advances downstairs.

"I'm coming for you Leon, just know our visit will not be a pleasant one."

"Ada I swear I had nothing-" She cuts him off, placing her cellphone in her jacket pocket.

"I was starting to like this place."

Ada mutters to herself, admiring her luxurious home once more before laying her eyes on two armed henchmen reaching the bottom of the staircase.

She sends one bullet each into their skulls with ease, hearing their big bodies drop to the floor and then begins to search them for any identification but comes up blank.

She moves, heading to the garage and hears mumbled voices behind the walls. She redies herself kicking the door down, repeating the same process, ending their lives before they even had a chance to take aim and shoot.

Ada enters her getaway vehicle, throwing her belongings behind and then revs the engine to life, mentally counting down the last seconds before the bomb erupts, accelerating right down the driveway, and out of this place.

***

She climbs into the back seat, whilst Leon was on the wheel waiting in traffic.

Through the rear view mirror, their gazes locked for several beats. His heart rate spiked at the sight of her. Just from looking at her, Leon thought that maybe his jaw had actually dropped.

How did she find him?

Leon prepares himself to die in the hands of the only woman who had stolen his heart, and crushed it. However, Ada made no movement and just sat there. Her features were composed, eyes dry. He noticed she was in black attire.

Impatient with the endless line of cars, he pokes his car into a narrow lane, receiving a loud horn blast from an upcoming vehicle but ignores it.

Leon glances over in the rear view mirror, but quickly looks away. His grip on the steering wheel tightens.

"Well?"

"You really want to talk it about it here? Like this?" He glances in the rear view mirror again.

"You got any suggestions?" Ada asks still looking elsewhere but at him and then pushes her hands through her hair as a means of grooming it.

"My place." He answers as she meets his eyes in the rear view mirror and smiles.

"Yeah, not this time." She reaches forward, latching out to pull the handbreak up halting his Jeep that jerked from the sudden action. In the blink of an eye, she was straddling him with her Beretta pressed on his neck.

"You've been a bad boy Leon." Ada purrs, bringing her face close to his. He immediately tensed, deciding to stand down.

"Is the gun necessary?" Horns behind them, they payed it no mind. His head was raised to level with hers, their gazes locked and held.

"Tell me everything you know." He hesitates.

The air shimmered between them with more than thermal heat.

Leon couldn't focus, with her literally sat on him. He would have attempted to throw her off of him but her quick reflexes would result in a brutal fist fight.

"I can't." She pressed the barrel harder on his neck, meaning no harm of course.

"Leon, don't make this harder than it already is." Ada whispered angrily, they were close enough, he could feel her breath on his face.

"You've comprised a government case. If you hadn't killed him- he wasn't supposed to die. He was a lead to something big and now- he's dead-" He'd spoken in a rush, causing the words to stumble over one another. When he finished, he paused drawing in a short breath.

Ada stared at him whilst she pierced together his words so they would make sense. Leon did not lie, especially to her. She motioned for him to carry on.

"An agent - a friend of mine was working  undercover. His job was to track and report until he watched his target's head being blown off...He scouted the scene and spotted you being the only person who seemed unbothered to a massacre riding off into the sunset when everybody else around was in panic mode."

Now relaxed, he calmly explained hoping the safety of her gun was on.

Ada slowly moved the gun away from his neck, and placed in the back of her jeans. She continued to stare at Leon with single minded concentration.

"When he mentioned woman, I asked for a description, hoping to be wrong thinking it would be you. But I wasn't. He informed me about calling for back up to follow you. That's why I tried to contact you to send a warning."

Leon pauses, realising he made yet another ill advised decision. Already, he placed himself in a dangerously gray area but warning the woman who eliminated an only lead of an extremely important case, violating his procedure and personal code of ethic. Hell, he had already done it by contacting her.

Ada however, was angry at the conflicting emotions that assailed her everytime she was near him. And even when he wasn't.

She collected her thoughts and looked at him.

"They think you're dead. Your house exploded right?"

Ada nods her head, formulating her next plan.

Get out of the country. Pronto.

"I gotta go." His hand reaches out to stop her,

"This your way of thanking me for saving your life?"

"I thought you said your place." A breath escapes her, realising what she had just missed, and regretting what she had just said.

Ada saw it just when he had grabbed her arm, to stop her from leaving.

"A simple thank you will suffice."

She manufactures a smile and locks eyes with him once more.

"Thank you." She then turns to leave before he said anything else, closing the door on her way out.

His behaviour towards her now suddenly made sense.

How could she have missed it?

She had no intention of sharing him with his wife.
