Work Text:
It was the night of the revolution. Schlatt was dead. Tubbo was president. It was all going well… until it wasn’t.
“I wanna thank everyone for coming here tonight! We couldn’t have done this without any single one of you. You are all welcome in L’Manburg, except you Eret, still don’t like you,” Wilbur said, standing at the podium.
The crowd laughed.
Eret just nodded and laughed along with everyone else.
“Understandable.”
“But everything else aside I would like to invite the members of L’Manburg to the stage, please. Fundy. Tubbo. Tommy. And Niki. Please come on up.”
Wilbur hurried all four of them up with his hands as they made it to the stage. He then asked them all to stand in a line, and put their arms around each other.
“Techno, would you like to take it away?”
Technoblade then smiled and stood up from his seat, and pulled out his crossbow, called Rocket Launcher.
Tubbo immediately stopped smiling. He knew what came next.
“I decided that it would be reminiscent of us if we sang the national anthem. If those in the crowd know it, don’t be afraid to join in. Ready?”
Everyone but Tubbo nodded.
Music started to play from Quackity’s guitar.
Well, I heard there was a special place…
The first firework was shot from Techno’s crossbow. Tubbo couldn’t move. He didn’t sway with the rest of the citizens attached to him.
Where men could go and emancipate….
Another explosion. Tubbo flinched at this one, and Tommy, who was standing next to him, noticed.
The brutality…
Tubbo crumbled to the floor, and Tommy kneeled next to him.
And tyranny…
Tommy tried to ask Tubbo what was wrong, but Tubbo couldn’t hear him.
Of their rulers...
The fireworks were all he could hear.
Well, this place is real, you needn’t fret…
Tommy finally realized what was happening to his friend when he covered his ears after another firework.
With Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo, fuck Eret
Everyone else in the line just kept singing and swaying.
It’s a very big and not blown up L’Manburg
They couldn’t hear Tommy’s pleas.
My L’Manburg
My L’Manburg
My L’Manburg
All they could hear were the fireworks.
My L’Manburg
