Chapter Text
It had been almost a full 2 years since you became a full time resident in the Devildom. You stayed in the house of Lamentations just as before, your room unchanging.
You sat in bed, reading a book that Satan had recommended to you. You had to admit, it was pretty good though he never fails to suggest good stories to you.
Your door swung open hitting the wall with a loud thud, causing you to drop the book on your face and yelp a bit. You sat up suddenly, glaring at the demon in your doorway, Mammon.
"You gotta hide me! Levi's chasin' me yelling about his money. Please y/n you gotta!" He was practically begging as he closed the door urgently and leaned against it as a brace.
You sighed heavily over this. "Least you could've done was knock. What if I was changing or something?" You asked and got up going over to him.
"More of a show for me than you already are" he replied with a cocky tone and smirk.
"I can call Levi right now." You threatened him and pointed to the closet "go hide in there. And no snooping, I'll know if you did"
He hugged you suddenly "you're a life saver!" And practically ran to the closet and hid inside, closing the door mostly behind him.
You went back to your bed and continued reading. After a few minutes you heard a knock at your door "come in" you call in return to them.
Levi opened the door and strode in, fully in his demon form. "I'm looking for the money grubbing loser waste of space, Mammon! He owes me money, I was going to buy the latest limited edition ruri-chan figurine!"
You placed the book down on your chest "who knows, maybe ask Lucifer. He usually knows where everyone is."
He grumbled and left, closing the door behind him. You waited for about a minute before getting up and going to the closet, opening the door. "Get out."
Mammon stumbled out "have I ever told you how much I like that perfume you wear is?" He was trying to distract you from scolding him.
"Don't even try it Mam, you have to pay him back or he'll get far angrier than he is now. And it's not mine, it's Asmo's."
"But I don't have the money to pay him back!" He argued, which did nothing to Garner pity from you.
You rolled your eyes and went back to bed and continued reading. He came over and sat on the side of the bed trying to see what you were reading. You ignored him for about a minute before you moved over in the bed, inviting him to get in the bed as well. You personally didn't want to admit it, but you did love him and his antics.
He took the invite and got into bed with you, even though he didn't care much for what you were reading. He followed along barely as you sat in silence, the only sound being the pages turning and your synced breathing which was barely audible.
Your eyes scanned the pages slowly as you read. You felt the heat radiating off of him as he wrapped an arm around your waist and nuzzled into the crook of your neck. "T-to read better" he said as an excuse, you knew it was false but you let him anyways.
You continued reading on and felt his weight sink onto you slightly, realizing he'd fallen asleep on you. You closed the book and put it down beside you and carefully shifted to face him. His face now resting just under your chin. You ran a hand through his hair and listened to his light snoring.
You shifted his hair and kissed his forehead and mumbled "stupid idiot....I like you." You felt heat come to your cheeks as realization set in on you confessing to his sleeping form.
He was practically attached to you, with no foreseeable future of him letting go til he woke up. So, you decided to continue reading the book.
When he did finally wake up, you paid him no mind. You just continued reading. He stayed in the position he was in, taking in the moment. "Hey mortal what time is it?"
You closed the book and checked the time on your D.D.D. and replied "about 7:30." It was almost dinner time. He pulled himself away from you reluctantly.
"I've got cookin' duty tonight, wanna come with?" He asked, avoiding eye contact as he stood there, waiting for your reply.
"Is this your way of asking me out on a date?" You asked in a joking manner, just for his reaction.
He blushed out of embarassment "not at all! Just answer the damn question" You couldn't help but laugh at him and got up.
"Yeah, let's go." You went to the door and held it open for him, letting him leave before you and following after, closing the door behind you both.
After dinner was cooked, served and eaten, you said your goodnight a to everyone and retired to your room. Mammon followed after you like a lost puppy. As you reached your door, you turned to him "what's up?"
He shifted on his feet, avoiding eye contact again "I was wondering if you wanted to do a movie night with me and beel again, though he probably already ate all the popcorn."
You shrugged "sure, what not. What's the plan for the movie then?" You entered your room and grabbed your favorite blanket. It'd been a gift from the brothers for your last birthday.
"We were going to leave that decision up to you" he replied from the hall and watched you when you came back out wrapped up in it. He mumbled something under his breath but you couldn't hear so you paid it no mind.
"Let's go! I don't want Beel too eat all the popcorn" you said and pulled him along to the common area. You sat on the couch together while beel was already half way through the popcorn bowl. You started swiping through the movies and put a scary one on, just to mess with Mammon.
He sat close enough for your arms to be touching. You took acute notice of this but tried to play it off. You reached over for the bowl and took some of the popcorn, mammon plucking a few pieces from your hand as it passed by him. You shot him a look and he just laughed it off.
The movie got to the scary part and he screamed over it and hugged onto your arm, burying his face behind it "you're so mean why would you put this on?!" He was shaking like a baby. You felt bad so you thought, as a way to apologize, you'd comfort him
You put your arms around him "you can hide when it gets too scary" you said and he stopped shaking a bit, burying himself in your side.
"I'm not a wuss or anything so don't go tellin' everyone this happened! You either Beel!" He pointed at his brother who was too immersed in his popcorn and the movie to care about what was happening beside him.
You sat holding Mammon like a child until the movie ended. Beel had retired to his room with the popcorn about 3/4's through the movie so it was just you two. As the credits roles you let him go and stretched. "Welp time to go to bed. Though, we don't have school tomorrow." You stood up and stretched some more "I'll see ya in the morning Mam, gnight."
He scrambled up to his feet "NO! W-wait there's no way I'm sleeping alone tonight! Beel has Belphie in his room, he's safe but I don't! I'm sleeping in your room!" He demanded, throwing a fit like a toddler.
You sighed and ran a hand down your face. "Fine but if you keep me up later I'm kicking you out. Let's go" A big smile spread across his face
"Promise I won't annoy ya!" He said and followed after you to your room happily. You went to your closet and fished out pajamas and turned to him.
"Close the door and turn away" you pointed a finger at him and he did as told. You changed your clothes and spoke "alright, you can turn around again"
"Y'know, it's not fair you still make me turn around. It's not like I haven't seen your body before!" He seemed genuinely hurt and upset that he couldn't see you in your under garments.
You let out a laugh "just cause you've seen it before doesn't mean I'd let you see it again." You got into bed and pat the spot next to you.
He got under the covers and immediately held onto your shoulders. You faced him, heat coming to your cheeks again. He was blushing as well. "What are you doing?" You tried to seem unphased.
He was examining your face in silence for a moment "what are your real feelings? Do you like me the way you like a friend or like me as a partner?" He was being bold tonight but his voice didn't hold it's usual cocky air to it. It was more vulnerable and sensetive.
You stayed silent for a moment "what's this all of a sudden?" You were afraid to answer. "I uhm- I guess more of as a partner... I don't like you the way I like your brothers. It's more in depth than that." You spoke just barely above a whisper as if to keep this a secret.
"I like you that way too you stupid mortal" was all he said before he cupped your face slightly and brought you into a kiss. Your entire body froze for a good minute, thinking this was just some dream.
You did return the kiss, wishing it went on longer. He held you against his chest now. You listened to his heartbeat. It was racing. "It's very loud and fast, were you nervous?" You asked referring to the heartbeat.
"Well yeah I was. What'd you expect? I for sure thought you'd choose one of my brothers over me."
"And why would I do that?"
"Because you hear how they treat me. How they talk about me. I'm just a money grubbing loser. They all indulge in their sin but when I do, I'm looked down on."
You stayed quiet for a second before sitting up and looking at him "I don't think that way. I will never think that way about you. I look at you and think only of love and a future with you. You're all I want. Ever since the god damn beginning and you better believe me on that"
He stared at you for a moment before pulling you down into a tight hug. "I like you a lot, y/n. I really do" he was afraid to say 'love' just yet. But he'd take what he could get out of this. And with getting you, he was satisfied.
"I like you a lot too Mam, now go to bed or we'll end up sleeping in." You yawned and cuddles up to him, drifting off. When you were fully asleep he fell asleep as well, not letting you go all night
