Hizashi’s POV
It was 6:30 in the morning and I wanted to get up earlier than I normally would on a weekend to read “Of Mice and Men”. It is one of the books that I make my classes read and it is by far one of my favorites. Lennie was always my favorite character; he had a kind heart and a strong moral will. I had been reading for about two hours and the kids were still sleeping and so was Shota so I decided to put my book down and make him a pot of hot coffee. As I plugged in the coffee pot Hitoshi walked downstairs winding and into the wide open kitchen. “Gooood morning Hitoshi,” I said holding out the “o” in good. “Morning pops,” he replied, rubbing his eyes. Moments after Hitoshi came downstairs, Eri ran down behind him. “Papa!” she exclaimed as I picked her up. “Good morning to you too, Eri. Remember to be quiet, your dad is still sleeping. “Can I have waffles for breakfast papa?” Eri asked. I didn't necessarily feel like making waffles that morning but how could I say no to my little muffin and of course Hitoshi would eat some too, so I agreed and went to get out the waffle maker. Eri walked over to the couch where Hitoshi was sitting and sat down beside him, turning on the tv. The scent of waffles and coffee filled my nose and the warm steam from the coffee pot hit my face. Right as I start pouring the coffee into a mug, I see Shota coming down the winding stairs.”Good morning my love.”
Aizawa’s POV
I wake up to the smell of coffee, my favorite. I dragged myself down the stairs and into the kitchen. “Good morning love,” Hizashi says as I go to give him a kiss, “I made you some coffee dear,”. “Thank you” I reply as I walk over the Eri and Hitoshi. “Waffles are ready!” Hizashi exclaims a bit too loud for my liking. As the kids run over to the table, Hizashi meets me at the couch. He sits down and changes the channel to the news And starts reading his book again. The kids finish their breakfast and head back to their room. Once I finish my coffee I look up at Hizashi to see him still reading so I lay my head down on his lap and pull up my yellow sleeping bag. I feel his comforting warmth and love as I slowly drift off to sleep again.
Hizashi’s POV
I look down and see Shota asleep in his sleeping bag with his head on my lap. I hold my book in one hand and stroke his hair with my other. If only I could stay right here just like this forever with my beautiful kids and my amazing husband. That would be a true paradise.
