Chapter Text
“You look dead on your feet, Angelfish.”
You sigh, barely glancing at Harry before moving away to finish wiping down the empty tables. Every night for a week now you’ve had the same recurring nightmare of your friends abandoning you to your mother’s clutches. Of Uma and Harry leaving you to suffer in the hands of the wicked witch while they leave the isle behind for Auradon. Needless to say, you haven’t gotten much sleep. The three of you are still taking it slow and you still have your own cabin which has made it easy to hide from your two lovers. It’s probably not the best thing to do but you don’t want to bother either of them with your silly problems. Uma is captain and Harry her first mate, they both have bigger concerns than your silly nightmares. You can’t let them find out or they’ll leave you behind, just like in your dreams. No. They can’t find out. You’ll just have to get better at hiding it. Figure out how to function on such little sleep…
You’re so lost in your thoughts you don’t realize you’ve been wiping down the same table over and over again. You completely miss the concerned glances between Uma and Harry. You jump, startled out of your thoughts when Uma yells, “Dakota! Captains quarters. Now. Desiree and Jonas - take over. You’re closing up tonight. Report back in the morning.” Your eyes widen at Uma’s orders. Clearly you weren’t very good at hiding anything. You don’t move immediately out of shock and surprise, so Harry gently grabs your elbow and steers you to his and Uma’s quarters.
Uma catches up to you and three of you enter the cabin together. Harry steers you to sit on the bed before walking to the tiny closet and pulling out a shirt. He passes it to you when Uma tells you to strip and put it on. Your eyes widen at the instruction. Uma’s mouth twitches into an almost smile, “You’re exhausted, Dakota. You need to sleep and since apparently you aren’t doing that at night, you’re going to right now. Me and Harry will stay with you and keep watch. I don’t know what’s up with you or why you’re not sleeping, but none of us are leaving this room again until you’ve gotten a solid few hours of rest. And don’t think you are getting off easy here either; we will be talking about this after you wake up. Why you aren’t sleeping and why you felt the need to hide it from us. But for now, hurry up and change. Harry’s shirt is way too big for you but it’ll be much more comfortable to sleep in than what you’re wearing now.” You blush, averting your eyes to look at the floor on the other side of the small room. Quickly, you undress and pull the shirt on. You smile unconsciously at being able to smell Harry on the shirt. When you manage to look up again Uma and Harry have changed as well and Harry is laying on one side of the bed, beckoning you forward. You crawl in next to him, resting your head on his chest and wrapping an arm around his waist. Uma settles next to you, pulling the blankets up and tucking them around the three of you before curling her arms around you. Harry wraps one arm around you and Uma while he plays with your hair with the other. You hum contently at the feeling.
After going a week with hardly any sleep it is all to easy to sink into the warmth and comfort the two provide. Uma begins to hum and it isn’t long before you feel yourself floating off to sleep.
