Expect the Unexpected.
Molly Weasley sighed as she looked around the luxurious villa apartment that her twin sons had booked for her. She had been whisked off to Roatán Island, across the other side of the world. She had never heard of Honduras until Fred had mentioned it to her. The twins were meant to have gone with her, but a sudden catastrophe with a WWW product had put paid to it. None of her family was available to go with her, so here she was completely alone for the first time in years.
She had thought nothing sinister when her daughter Ginny had come round to the Burrow to help her pack for her holiday with the twins. After settling in, she wanted to have a bath, so opened her suitcase and stood in shock!
On opening her suitcase to reach for her wash bag that she thought to be on top, she shrieked, thinking she had the wrong luggage. She checked the label once again. It was indeed her luggage and after lifting up a few items she found her wash bag and a note from ginny.
Dear Mum,
SURPRISE!
The contents are a gift to you from all of us Weasley’s.
Have a fantastic time and have fun!
Love Ginny
P.S. I added a few little extras the boys do not know about -WINK!
All of the clothes were brand new, there was not a single item of familiar clothing, not even her underwear. She had blushed beet red, thinking of how her family had no doubt bought such things for her. Some of the underwear and nightwear was scandalous, she would never be seen in any of it. She couldn’t even send her daughter a Howler either as she had been warned not to use magic whilst on the Muggle Island.
She had calmed down a bit after her bath, then took a closer inspection of the assortment of dresses, casual wear and other items. She had to admit it was all beautifully made. But she was still annoyed and blushed again thinking of the lingerie now packed away out of sight.
~~~~
The series of portkeys had left her exhausted, so she was content to catch up on sleep and relax in the luxurious surroundings of the private gardens, eat delicious food and gaze out at the spectacular ocean view. She had barely to lift a finger. She could even order food to eat in the luxury of her own ground floor villa if she so wished.
The staff were very attentive, but after being waited upon hand and foot for a few days, she needed to get out to explore the island.
So after breakfast, she had dressed in a pretty summer frock but still took her cardigan with her in her handbag. She chose shoes she liked and set off to Carambola Gardens. The main reception at the luxury complex had assured her it was a must-see place and very spectacular. So Molly had got them to book her a taxi to take her there.
~~~~
The gardens were not what she expected, not at all. She didn’t want to go on one of the many exploration trips but instead just wanted to wander on her own. She enjoyed looking at the tropical plants, flowers and tasting the fresh fruit cut for her to try. She never realised cane sugar looked the way it did or the way the coffee beans were grown or tasted whole.
She meandered through the lush green plants with their exotic and, at times, bold coloured flowers. The heady scents from the flowers attracted strange creatures that she did not recognise. Coming from the magical world she rarely, if ever, knew much about Muggle fauna and flora.
She felt a bit lonely without her family around her, but she put on a brave face and smiled as she walked along. She planned to find a place to get a drink, but she was too hot to think or read the brochure she had been given
Up ahead she spotted a shaded seating area and made her way towards it. She sighed with contentment as the heat of the sun was finally gone and she relaxed trying to cool down. It was still warm even though she was in the shade. She winced in pain. She had not realised that she was so hot or so sore.
She wafted a paper fan to get some air flowing, but the air was still warm. She felt very unwell. She had discovered earlier that she had worn the incorrect footwear for this type of trip. Her feet were hot, swollen and sore.
She was extremely thirsty, gasping for some water. How silly of her not to pop a bottle of water into her bag. She groaned, remembering she could not use her magic, otherwise she could have easily got herself a drink.
She swayed a little, dizzy all of a sudden.
~~~~
“Molly Weasley, is that you?” Voiced a male from close by.
She thought she was hearing things. She needed to get back to her villa. She stood up to leave.
“Sit!” The voice commanded. She could not see clearly as she felt she was going to faint.
“Drink.” A beaker was placed against her lips, it was filled with cool water. She tried to drink rapidly as she was thirsty.
“Slowly, slowly,” came the calm and very soothing voice. “Take it slow. That’s better.”
Molly had sipped slowly and gained some of her strength back, but she still felt rather lightheaded.
“Come Molly I will assist you back to your accommodations.”
“What?” She shook her head and groaned as she swayed due to the dizziness that took over.
“My dear, please allow me to assist. You have some dreadful sunburn on your face and arms and probably a touch of sunstroke too.”
Molly did not object any further and allowed this man, this familiar man, who she could not put a name to yet, to take charge. She was assisted up onto her feet by gentle hands that helped her to remain upright, then supported her to walk.
Lucius Malfoy had spotted a woman walking around, obviously sightseeing, then he had seen her sway and sit down hard onto a rough-hewn seat. He moved towards her, thinking he knew her. As he drew close he recognised Molly Weasley. She looked a dreadful colour. Her face, arms and even her legs looked extremely sore. She had no head covering or dark sunglasses and clearly no sunscreen at all to protect her skin. He shook his head at seeing her most inappropriate footwear for this type of terrain.
Molly, still in a bit of a daze, felt herself being assisted into a car. She sighed as the air conditioning helped to cool her overheated body. The man sat next to her. It was only then when she squinted across at him, did she recognise Lucius Malfoy?
“Lucius, is that you?”
“Yes, Molly it is I.” He poured out a glass of chilled water and handed it to her before he did the same for himself. He was fully aware not to use magic on the island. He had always enjoyed coming here since the end of the last wizarding war.
He never knew that he had an Uncle, brother to his late father, or that now his late uncle had lived alongside muggles for years. Perhaps if he’d had his uncle’s hand to guide him he would not have followed in his father’s footsteps, or his rules, and followed the Dark Lord. That was a huge mistake in his life. He rarely returned to the UK and only then to visit his son and his grandson. Rich, but still lonely since his wife had left him after the Battle of Hogwarts. He had not missed her at all.
He was brought back to the present as he heard Molly wince in pain.
Sunburn is not very nice and is very painful. I feel you must see a doctor, my dear.”
“No,” Molly said with a sigh, “I am fine, I need to return to my villa.”
She had automatically reached into her handbag and pulled out her door key, then paled further as she felt sick.
“I regret to advise you Molly that you are not well. “
Molly was about to protest, instead, she groaned and heaved.
~~~~
Lucius had used his mobile phone to get help, his own doctor had met them at Molly’s villa and immediately taken charge. The doctor had shooed him away.
~~~~
The following day Molly felt ashamed of herself. She had been sick in the back of a Muggle car, not only that she had thrown up all over Lucius Malfoy. She could barely recall the previous day but was glad he had been around to help her.
Her telephone rang in the luxurious sitting room. She had been sitting in the shaded area outdoors with the sliding doors open. She picked up the unfamiliar handset and spoke tentatively.
“Hello?”
“Good Afternoon Molly, Lucius speaking, how are you today?”
“I am feeling a lot better thank you.”
“I am pleased to hear that,” Lucius replied. “May I come round? I will come bearing lunch.”
Molly smiled, nodded, then realised she needed to speak. “Yes please do call.”
She did not dare admit to him over the Muggle contraption she was lonely and extremely bored.
~~~~
An hour later her villa was full of people!
Molly should have known Lucius Malfoy did not do things by half. The lunch came complete with staff, food to fill her fridge and drink to fill her drinks cabinet. There were vases of flowers, fresh fruit in a beautiful basket and hand made local chocolates.
She was stunned at the whole spectacular procession and finally the man himself, who entered, then bowed low, removing his hat from his head then bent to kiss her cheek with barely a whisper of contact.
Lucius arrived wearing a light coloured suit complete with a Panama hat and a pair of sandals on his feet - thankfully without socks. Molly had seen some men wear socks under their sandals and it was not a nice look. She realised for the first time that Lucius had had his hair cut short and it really suited him.
The staff set up the dining table with covered chilled dishes, then they all bowed and left, leaving them alone.
“Oh Lucius this is all lovely,” Molly beamed looking at the arrangement of food laid out on the table
“Please, let me “ Lucius used his gentlemanly skills to escort Molly over to a seat. She was glad that the staff had left them alone. She would not have enjoyed servants watching as she ate and talked.
She blushed lightly.
She was alone with Lucius Malfoy.
“These are my Uncle’s staff, I inherited them as well as his villa last year. When they heard you had taken ill they suggested a treat to help you feel better.” Lucius explained.
Oh,” Molly beamed. “How kind of them”.
She had raised her eyebrows at this new version of Malfoy, he had indeed changed.
The fresh seafood was fantastic, as was the dessert, a local recipe made with fresh coffee beans. She had sipped at a small glass of champagne, then drank the iced coffee that Lucius poured out for her. Then they sat in the cool shade of the veranda, enjoying the view and the air conditioning.
“Thank you, Lucius.” Molly half turned towards him. Her skin was sore but without his help, things would have been worse. “I was so stupid,” Molly said disgusted with herself, “I am always telling the grandchildren not to stay out in the sun and look at me. Like a red flobberworm.”
“You are nothing like a flobberworm Molly, it can happen to anyone.”
“No, I am a stupid witch.” She sighed, disgusted with herself.
“I did a similar thing on my first trip out here. I was visiting my uncle, he passed away not that long ago. I stupidly went out wearing a pair of shorts like I had seen the Muggles wear, no shirt and no sunscreen.”
“Ouch!” Empathised Molly.
“Yes, I never forgot that feeling and always wear full sunblock and wear a hat and long sleeves when out and about. I do not mind a little sun when it is cooler and not in the midday of course.”
“Unlike me, who I can assure you will not forget it.” She paled a little and apologised further. “I also need to apologise for being sick-“
“Please,” protested Lucius with a handheld up and a slight smile, “do not worry, my suit is at the dry cleaners and the car has already been valeted.” He rushed to change the subject. “Speaking of sunburn, how are you feeling now?”
“Oh,” Molly got up, “I need to put more of that soothing cream on.” She rushed away into her bedroom for a few minutes. She returned wearing a different dress.
Lucius could see where the cream had been rubbed in and a bright red area she had missed at the back of her neck.
“May I?” He nodded towards the cream the doctor had given her to use to relieve the pain. “You appear to be missing a bit at the back of your neck.”
“Oh, I tried to reach it but cannot get to it as we are not allowed to use magic -” she sighed.
Molly gave in bravely and sat with her back turned towards him. He lifted her hair from her back and popped a little of the cream in the middle of her exposed neck and gently rubbed it in. He did it with one finger, then two, then realised that a bit on her shoulders required further attention as well
He could feel the witch relaxing into him.
He had finished but his hand kept caressing her back and around her neck. Molly had sighed contentedly before they both froze at the same moment.
Lucius coughed and Molly was glad of it as they both broke free from the spell.
Each had enjoyed the experience.
The feelings Lucius had felt had been very unexpected
~~~~
Over the next couple of days, Lucius took time to show Molly the island. He even pointed out his inherited villa. Then explained why he was staying in the rented villa close to her.
“My villa had a burst pipe of the worst type a week ago.” He wrinkled his nose with distaste.
“Oh, that does not sound too bad?”
“A sewer pipe, inside not outside!” He winced remembering the stink.
“Oh, my,” Molly began to laugh, as she saw the look of utter disgust on his face. Then she laughed further as he joined in.
“So that is why I am here until it is fixed. They tell me it will be ready sometime next week.”
“You may need to redecorate too as the… stink will have .. “
Their eyes met and both roared with laughter. Lucius had never laughed with Narcissa like this, not ever.
~~~~
Molly enjoyed their trips out, especially in the muggle car. It was a big change for her and certainly was cleaner than using the floo or less tiring than by portkey.
“Arthur would have loved this,” Lucius had said, as he drove along with the top down.
Molly broke out into a beaming smile and happily agreed. “He did love his Muggle contraptions. Now, look at you - Lucius, pureblood, Malfoy who prior to the war hated all things Muggle?” She teased.
Lucius had barked out a delicious laugh that had her toes, and everywhere else, tingle. A sure sign that she was beginning to like this man, a lot. How he had changed and for the better.
~~~~
The night before she was due to go home, Lucius invited Molly out to dinner.
“May I say, you look very beautiful tonight my dear?” Gushed Lucius. He had wanted to tell her this before on some of their other outings. All her clothing had been of Muggle design and suited her well. Tonight she had outdone herself and looked stunning.
He had felt the odd twitch in his nether regions before with her but tonight he was rather glad he wore a longer than usual jacket to hide his embarrassment of a semi-hard erection.
She had felt drawn to this Wizard, she had felt her nipples go hard as well as feel rather hot as he had taken her hand in his and led her into the passenger seat of yet another of his Muggle cars. This one was a sports car and smelled wonderful or that could just be his aftershave. She had not felt like this for many years.
Molly blushed and giggled like a young girl, pleased with his compliment. She had hidden her inner fears and worn some of the more alluring lingerie that had been packed for her. The vibrant green sarong style dress she chose was of a palm print in a very flattering cut. The dress was silk and felt so light to wear and made her feel good. The dress along with the undergarments, made her feel sexy and more like a real woman. She had to admit to herself that she had imagined this man in her bed more than once since she had met him on this island.
“Thank you, Lucius.” She smiled as they clinked champagne glasses and she added teasingly, “you don’t look half bad yourself.”
She had never ever heard Lucius laugh until she had met him on this island. It made him look even more attractive and more likeable to her.
The meal was excellent, and Lucius decided to take her for a stroll along one of his favourite beaches.
~~~~
The evening had cooled as they walked along the west beach with its glorious white sand and the palm trees swaying in the breeze. The beach was quieter now and only couples seemed to be walking along the semi-deserted shoreline.
They had removed their shoes and Lucius had insisted on carrying both pairs as they walked along, chatting amiably, while the gentle waves caressed the warm sand and at times wetting their feet.
“This is beautiful,” Molly said as she turned her face to the sun that was slowly descending as they neared the sunset. The sky was clear and the late evening sounds added a little romance to their walk.
Lucius forgot how quick the sun disappeared and it had caught him off guard, they were quite far away from his car. The sun went down and they were left completely in the dark on the beach. They relied on the dangling fairy style lights that stretched continuously between the bars and restaurants to find their way back.
Molly stumbled in the sand and Lucius took her hand in his.
“I have good eyesight,” he said as they walked along.
“I have enjoyed your company, Lucius, I will miss you when I head home. Thank you for making me smile and laugh again.”
She leaned in and pecked him on the cheek. She felt him nod.
“Thank you, Molly, I too have enjoyed your company.” He tilted her head up to him and gently kissed her on the lips. He could not see her face clearly as she turned from him. But had heard no protest.
They remained silent, barefoot and hand in hand all the way back to his car.
~~~~
Lucius insisted on taking her to the airport and he waved her off at the portkey station.
“Come visit me!” Molly called out with a little wave just as the portkey activated.
~~~~
“Well?” Asked Draco, using his Muggle mobile phone to make a video call from his tower block office in the city of London.
“So far so good.” Chuckled George, “Mum came home tanned and happy -”
“She is singing a lot, or so Ginny told me,” interrupted Fred over his brother’s shoulder.
“Good.” Draco said, “My father has texted me to inform me he will be home for Christmas, his portkey is for next month!”
“Wow!” Grinned the twins.
“I owe you one,” Draco admitted with a rare smile and a wink directed to Fred.
“You do!” The twins said in unison grinning at each other, then at Draco and added, “Happy Christmas!” Before they ended the call.
“Happy Christmas!” Smiled Draco and hoped it would be a truly happy one for everyone.
