Chapter Text
"What a pathetic older brother I have"
That was all it took for Adamas to charge at Poseidon, not knowing that he would die right there and now.
Poseidon sighed as he stared at the body of his brother, blood splattered on his face and blood dripping from his Trident. He has had enough of his brothers childishness.
Adamas was the second oldest of them yet he was acting like the youngest. He had shortest temper, was childish to the point of trying to start a coup d'etat at his younger sibling Zues, had anger issues and was even jealous. He was like a child that needed attention and was seeking attention to everywhere he goes.
To him, the childishness of Zues was better than that older brother of his.
god's have no need for armies
No need for betrayal
No need for support
Such are the gods...
Ever since the beginning, gods have been the perfect beings
"And yet you have defiled everything we stand for...."
"...."
Poseidon had waited for Adamas to reply yet only silence followed after he spoke. It seems like Adamas was adamant in playing dead in front of him, if so, then let him play dead to his hearts content for he has no intention of indulging that childishness of his brother any longer.
He turned around and left, he has no patience in waiting for his stupid brother to talk.
A week has passed and Poseidon had felt something wrong, like something was missing, yet he didn't even know what it was that was gone. He tried to ignore the feeling yet he couldn't shake it off. It was starting to tick him off
Soon enough he had snapped, irritation and anger rose through him making him frown. The seas on his control raged and brought forth calamities. The heaven where he was located also took damage. The gods were starting to fear that heaven might be destroyed and cursed which fool dared to anger The god of Seas. They had no choice but to plead Hades and Zues to stop or at least calm their brother down.
Zeus who was having fun laughing at the gods reaction and had no intention of stopping any time soon received a glare from Hades making him pout and left to go find Poseidon.
The moment he reached Poseidon, waves came crashing onto him. Zeus could clearly see the anger and irritation of his brothers face and dared not approach him at the moment.
Don't misunderstand, Zeus wasn't scared by his brother's wrath, the only reason he doesn't want to approach him is that he had no intention of taking any damage or wounds onto his body. After all what kind of sick maniac likes to have his body covered in bruises and wounds with no reason at all. Unless of course if you're a masochist and Zeus was definitely no masochist.
After waiting for an hour or two Poseidon finally calmed down, back to his normal face. Zeus approached him asking what their older brother Adamas had done this time to make him this angry.
Having heard the name Adamas, Poseidon was starting to get irritated again, asking Zeus what made him think that Adamas was the cause of his anger.
This only made Zeus laugh out loud. Zeus knew the look on Poseidon's face everytime he was looking for their dear older brother Adamas.
Poseidon may say that their dear older brother Adamas was childish and an attention seeker but Poseidon was the same. Though he was cold to others he always unconsciously gets irritated when Adamas hadn't shown him attention for three days. And the only reason why Poseidon hadn't snapped during those times was because Adamas never failed to give him the attention he needed since Adamas would always go look for him, trying to persuade him to join the coup d'etat.
Having heard Zeus laughing at him instead of answering, he immediately tried to struck him down using his Trident but unfortunately for him Zeus was quick to get away. And just like that, Poseidon's anger was triggered again.
The moment Zeus went back he immediately heard a noise. He looked at his back and he saw their eldest brother, Hades.
"What did you do to make him even angrier?" He was glaring at Zeus.
Zeus merely laughed and explained things to him making Hades immediately understand what was going on.
Being the eldest brother of the four, Hades knew the reason for Adamas' behavior to be like that. The child merely wanted to have his younger brother look at him in the eye. To see each other eye to eye and as an equal and yet Poseidon never did. Perhaps that was also the reason why Adamas started a coup d'etat, for him to show how strong he was.
And as for Poseidon, it seems like he never realized that he himself was a child that needed Adamas' attention. Well, how could he know? He never really did pay attention to Adamas. Never saw him eye to eye. Perhaps it never even crossed his mind that it was Adamas that was always right by his side ever since he was a baby and it was always Adamas that showered him with affection.
Adamas' affection
Poseidon's lack of attention
Adamas cared for Poseidon but Poseidon didn't know because he never paid attention but even if he did he wouldn't care because he never even saw him as an equal.
However, one thing's for sure and it's that Poseidon unconsciously grew accustomed to Adamas' affection for him.
After having these thoughts Hades sighed and spoke to himself.
"Poseidon, you claim to hate Adamas but you don't even know that you yearn for his affection"
As he spoke, the thunders screamed twice as loud and the sea water that Poseidon unleashed raged once again.
