Chapter Text
Sunny hisses in pain as he puts his right pointer finger in his mouth, probably not the most sanitary way to deal with poking himself with his sewing needle but it worked for him.
Sunny had decided to take up fashion after him and his mother had moved to the big city, he had always thought being able to wear bold and fashionable outfits was out of his reach so he had decided to try his luck with creating said outfits. Needless to say he enjoyed it a lot, it kept him busy and color coordination was kinda fun.
His new hobbies had even let him get closer to his friends back in faraway, something he never thought would be possible after he revealed the truth. Sure they were all angry at him and Basil for a while after but one by one they had learned to forgive them both, of course Sunny hadn't seen any of them in person for years but they always tried to be there for him and catch up when they could which Sunny appreciated greatly.
Aubrey was the first one to forgive Sunny and the two have been great friends ever since, she was always willing to model any outfit he shipped out to her and she pulled every one off amazingly, Sunny was always happy to see a message from her and they would talk for hours, mostly Aubrey talking about her new girlfriend Kim, one of her hooligan friends, Sunny was super happy for her especially since Kim would -with a lot of convincing from Aubrey- sometimes try on the outfits as well.
The next person to forgive Sunny was Kel, after Sunnys tearful confession he had fallen to his knees and covered his mouth to try and suppress the loud sobs that shook him to his core, after Aubrey ran over to him and pulled the shaking boy into her chest Kel had moved over to them and wrapped them both into his arms, as Aubrey rubbed circles into Sunnys back Kel ran his hands through the boys hair both of them desperately trying to soothe him as he dug his nails into his arms, not causing too much damage since they were bitten so short.
Ever since that day Kel texted Sunny often, just about every single day, somedays Sunny would be too tired to answer back but would always give Kel a little heart so he knew everything was okay. As much as Sunny hated to admit it he couldn't ignore how his face flushed when he saw Kel had sent him a message or how he would overthink every text he sent or how Sunny would spend hours every night thinking about Kel and how much he wanted to see him in person, Sunny was pretty sure he had developed a crush on Kel. Not that it mattered, he never planned on acting on it, in his mind Kel deserved someone better then Sunny.
The last person to forgive Sunny was Hero, he wasn't surprised at how long it took Hero to even be able to hear his name again, infact he was even more shocked Hero had forgiven him at all. They hadn't spoken much since Sunny moved but Hero assured him that he still cared about Sunny and didn't want him to be afraid to reach out. "Its what Mari would have wanted." He had said the day Sunny had said his final goodbyes to everyone before leaving faraway town.
What Mari would have wanted, huh, Sunny wasn't quite sure what Mari would have wanted now, for all he knows she wants him to waste away and die for what he did to her.
"No don't think like that" Sunny closed his eyes and shook his head to drive away the bad thoughts, Mari was a good person, she wouldn't want him dead, probably.
He looked back down at his work and continued sewing, Aubrey expected to have his new piece in two weeks minimum so he had to finish it, it wasn't too flashy, just a white button up long sleeve with a dark blue tie and wide ended black pants. Aubrey prefered suits to dresses so Sunny had gotten used to making all different designs for her.
He looked over at his phone, the screen had turned on and showed he had a few new texts, he finished his stitching and then opened his phone to look at them, all from Aubrey.
Aubrey: sunny sunny guess what
Aubrey: answer your phone
Aubrey: whatever you'll reply when you see it
Aubrey: so yknow how you usually just ship me the clothes you make? welllllll I talked to your mom and she thinks it would be a good idea if you came to faraway for a bit!
Aubrey: oh dw about the others I haven't told anyone so don't feel pressured to come if you're not ready or anything, just thought I'd be cool to see you in person again
Aubrey: I know Kel would be super pumped to see you again
Sunny read her messages over and over, going back to faraway even for a little bit sounded pretty fun, absolutely terrifying, but fun, he'd be lying if he said he didn't want to see the others again.
Sunny: I want to. When do I come?
It took Aubrey exactly two minutes to reply
Aubrey: HELL YEAH
Aubrey: I'll talk with the others and we'll all find a good date for you to come
Sunny: Okay.
Sunny was absolutely terrible at showing how he felt especially over text but he decided to add a little smiley face to make sure Aubrey knew he was happy about going.
Sunny: :)
He took a deep breath, he was nervous to face his faraway town friends again but he was also excited to see them all, now he just had to pack and mentally prepare.
