Work Text:

-Wooo!- said Zayn thrilled.

-It was a good party but ... I drank too much!- Liam laughed, leaning against the window.

-Yeah!- Niall agreed.

Louis continued to watch the road as he drove. He rubbed his eye. Harry looked at him concerned.

-Are you okay Lou? -The brown haired boy turned to him giving him a smile.

-Yes everything ok Haz- the curly smiled back but ...

-Louis careful! -The blue eyed boy looked back at the road and a hijacker was coming upon him. He swerved abruptly and went off the road. The car overturned and ran into the vegetation.

Harry opened his eyes. He blinked several times to get used to the light and realized he was not in his room. He noticed his mother asleep in a chair beside his bed propped up with her torso on his leg as she held his hand. He looked around and the images of the previous evening came back to him like a hurricane.

-Louis! -He sat up abruptly. The mother woke up allarmed.

-Honey, you're awake- he looked at her with only one thought in his head.

-Mom, where is Louis?- The woman's gaze turned sad.

-Sweetie... Listen...- she began with a broken voice. The little one understood. His eyes filled with tears.

-No...- he sobbed.

-He didn't make it...- his mother whispered.

-No! -The boy finally burst into tears.

-Louis no! -He yelled throwing the blanket and pillows to the ground. His Louis hadn't made it and he was devastated. A week later there was the funeral. The green-eyed boy locked himself in the room and cried all morning. He couldn't follow the funeral and when they went to the cemetery he stayed out. Liam, Zayn and Niall feeling guilty decided to tell Harry the truth. Zayn stepped forward first.

-Harry- he called the curly haired boy who was leaning against a wall with his eyes red from crying. The smallest approached.

-You must know the truth- Liam began.

-What are you talking about?- the tall boy asked confused.

-We made Louis have a beer that night- Niall confessed. Harry widened his eyes.

-What?- He couldn't believe it.

-It's your fault ...- he started to back away.

-We didn't want to ... we were drunk! -Zayn justified himself.

-It's only your fault that Louis is gone! -he screamed with tears and ran away from his now former friends. After that day he cut off all contact with them and when he went back to school he completely ignored them. His life was home-school and cemetery-home. Every day at the same time he carried a bag with him and went to the cemetery to talk to his boyfriend Louis about what he did, how he felt, bringing him his old items, like the soccer ball that Haz had given him for Christmas. He looked at that small photo where he was smiling and deposited the objects next to him and then let himself go in a liberating cry. Anne worried about him asked the cemetery gardener, an old friend of the family, to check him out and set up a small bench for him in front of the tombstone. One day she wanted to accompany him in the car but the boy refused, because of the accident he did not want to get into the car so he used to ride a bike. Her mother was increasingly worried. One autumn afternoon the boy was cycling the stretch of road to the cemetery when a car out of control hit him. Anne, warned by Gemma, her eldest daughter, ran to the hospital. She came just as the boy's heart stopped beating.

Harry looked around not knowing where he was and was surrounded by white. Then in the distance he saw a figure approaching. He immediately recognized those eyes, blue as the ocean. He ran to meet him and Louis took him into his arms.

-I missed you- the smallest whispered.

-I missed you too - the older stroked his hair.

-Haz ... it's not your time yet- the curly looked up - you have to go on living and forgive the boys - Harry widened his eyes and pulled away.

-No! It's their fault you're dead! -Louis took his hands.

-it's mine, I knew I had to drive and I drank- he stroked his cheek.

-But ... I don't want to part with you Lou- he looked him in the eyes. Green in the blue, blue in the green.

-We will not separate, I will always be here- he put a hand on his heart. They smiled at each other and put their lips together in one last kiss full of love.

-Goodbye Harry- Louis whispered in his ear.

-Goodbye Louis- Harry sobbed, breaking away from the hug.

He woke up blinking and recognized the hospital room. He looked around and the window opened. The wind made the curtains move.

-Goodbye my love, I'll never forget you- Harry whispered with a smile on his face.
