Summary
In a world where Buck stays in Peru a LOT longer than in canon, she ends up adopting three little girls. Maritza, Celestina and Luciana. She loves these girls more than she's ever loved anything before so when they decide that they want to know their American family Buck can't say no, no matter how much Buck wants to explain that their grandparents might not even want anything to do with them and that she hasn't spoken to their aunt since she got married. They never make it to Buck's parents however due to a pile-up on the highway. This leads Buck to the wonderful life of firefighting (because we had to get her there somehow).
Eddie is expecting a lot when he joins the 118 firehouse. A somewhat hostel welcome, awkward few weeks where he gets to know his co-workers, long hours, and fire. Can't forget the fire, it's in the name after all. What he wasn't expecting was a ball of sunshine that was Evangeline "Call me Buck" Buckley, a single mother of three and fluent in Spanish. She refuses to let things be awkward, refuses to let him hang back. He wasn't expecting her to body-slam her way into his heart with a smile, a laugh, and a bunch of random facts. He's screwed.
