"You sure you don't want to come with us?"
Yuuri zipped up the light sling bag he would be taking with him on his day out with Shori. Viktor, however, stood firmly in place with his arms crossed.
"Yuuri, you ask that as if you think my answer is going to ever change."
Yuuri lightly shrugged. "It might not but I don't want you ever to feel left out."
A small smile showed itself on the ends of Viktor's lips, "You're very sweet, but my answer is always solid for this occasion." He turned to the kitchen, throwing a remark to Yuuri over his shoulder, "Besides this is an activity you both can bond over together!"
Yuuri scoffed, smirking. "Gee, thanks."
Bugs weren't something that Yuuri necessarily wanted to bond with their daughter over. But he was the only one out of his entire family that would even so much as be willing to watch Shori during her summer escapades in her insect obsession. He did love that she had such a passion for them, for some reason. He had no idea where she had developed this insane interest in the six years she had been on this Earth.
Viktor walked back over with two metal bottles occupying his hands, "The weather is suppose to in its high today so put some ice with the water in your flasks. I'm not sure how long they will hold though."
Yuuri raised his head. "Thanks, Vitya." He pecked his husband's lips with a brief kiss on the way up, taking them both to string on his bag. "Yeah, hopefully that means luck for Shori. Those ones she really looks for love to come out when it's like this."
Yuuri could see the comical uneasiness enter Viktor's eyes as he put out his hand as if it could stop the words from hitting his ears. He turned around to face away from his husband. "Please, I don't want to talk about it."
Yuuri smirked, pressing on. "Like the end of the world."
Viktor shook his head. "Oh it'd certainly be if they took over."
"Aw." Yuuri got up and pressed himself into hug against Viktor's back, wrapping his arms around his waist. "My poor Vitenka~ so terrified of little bugs~"
"They're not little!" Viktor barked at him from behind, then slinging his head back, sombrely. "But I'm not scared, I just don't like them."
"Seems like you are~" Yuuri continued to tease in his tone, pushing the side of his head into his back.
Viktor again tried to turn his head. "They're not some house pests, Yuuri."
Yuuri nodded into his back. "Hm, true. They are a bit bigger." He smirked, moving his arms for his hands to reach his sides, "You'll definitely know if they decide to crawl all over you."
Viktor jolted a little in fit of giggles as his husband ran his fingers along his sides. "Yuuri! Stop tickling me!"
"It's not me." Yuuri blocked the weak attempt of Viktor trying to pull away, "It's all the bugs coming to get you."
"You're so mean-" Viktor didn't have a chance to finish the thought as his husband held him a lock from behind, going at him rougher. He was now having a harder time standing, which ended up having his weight being thrown into Yuuri's arms. "Yuu-ri!!!"
Yuuri gave into laughs behind him, watching Viktor helplessly try to break away. His laughter was one of Yuuri's favorite sounds in the world, and he wasn't about ready to let it leave him.
"S-Shori!!" Viktor yelped between breaths, "Shori-chan, help!!"
On command, their daughter bolted out of the hallway from her room. "Papa!" She yelled from the dining area until she realized that the situation wasn't as critical as it sounded... at least to her.
Yuuri poke his head out behind Viktor, taking use of the extra pair of hands first. "Quick, Shori, help me!"
"No no no, enough!!" Viktor called behind at Yuuri, swiftly throwing his head forward to Shori, "Tell- tell Daddy to stop!!"
Shori, now fully aware of what she was called into took a moment of consideration, before she finally answered, stamping her foot. "Daddy, stop!"
Yuuri sighed. "Aw, fine." He let go instantly.
Viktor was finally free. He evened out the bottom hem of his shirt that was ruffled from Yuuri's hands. "Oh, you'll listen to her."
"Now I wanna try!"
Viktor gasped as his daughter put out her hands to attack the spots where Yuuri was. "Shori!!!" He caught her little hands with his own, as he drew a smirk. "You're such a little sneak, come here!"
Shori screeched as Viktor pulled her in, both laughing as Viktor tried to go after her.
"Papa, pozhaluysta stoy!!!" The faint attempts of Russian to ease on her Papa's side.
Yuuri laughed, "Hey, pick on someone your own size, Vitya!"
Viktor turned, letting go of Shori, "Oh, so I can finally go after you!!!"
Viktor went at the spot he knew would hurt. Incredibly enough, both Shori and Yuuri were nearly identically ticklish in the same spots. But Yuuri's Achilles heel was right in one particularly lower spot of his tummy that would send his soul from his body. And they were all witness to that as Yuuri crashed onto the cushions next to them, Viktor still lovingly going at it.
The sounds that came from Yuuri were a beautifully genuine mixture of laughs and sobs, finding it difficult to push Viktor away as he fought with his own body to hold control. Finally, he tried to throw in the towel between gasps, "OK- sorry!!! I'm- sorry!!!"
Viktor lessened his roughness, tracing his fingers in circles around Yuuri's weak spot, "For?"
Yuuri was still trying to find the space between his own breaths and giggles, "For not stopping when you told me to."
Viktor pressed on, both in speech and his fingers. "And?"
Yuuri continued, quickly. "And for saying you're afraid of bugs."
"And?"
"And...?" Yuuri whinced as Viktor's fingertip pushed into him, whimpering as he tried biting back his laughs.
"I'll answer for you. And for trying to turn my own daughter against me."
Yuuri cranked his head back at him. "She's my daughter, too."
Viktor narrowed his eyes, laughing at his challenging response. "But she doesn't just listen to you!"
"I listen to no one!" They both turned at their daughter, who was standing right at their lower sides with a proud smile on her face.
Her parents both shot a look at one another, then set their gaze at Shori with a smirk. "Oh that's the wrong answer, my child. Get her, Yuuri!"
Shori shrieked as Yuuri pulled their daughter to them, all too exhausted to do anything now but laugh and smother her with a cuddle in both of their arms. The day had hardly even started and they all were spent. It was too much of a summer day for any of this.
