I open the door of our room and you're laying in bed on your phone, probably looking at Discord or just scrolling through the internet. I smile and quietly walk over and lay down next to you. You're thankfully not under the covers, it's been a bit warm but thankfully it's cooled off. Even still, I just want to be near you. I shimmy my way closer to you, laying my arm and head on your chest as I wrap my leg around one of yours. As I get comfortable snuggling into you you finally notice my presence. You give me a blank stare as you ask me "What're you doing?" "I wanna cuddle and you're warm." I say as I snuggle in closer, closing my eyes and smiling as I get comfortable laying against you, just listening to your heartbeat. You sigh and lean your head back, somewhat annoyed, before continuing on with what you were doing, "I'm trying to work right now." A frown slowly forms on my face as I open my eyes. My eyes bounce from one object to another, looking anywhere but at you as I begin to fidget. "Oh, I didn't mean to interrupt you, I just wanted to be near you was all." The sadness I felt was palpable. "I'll just go, sorry for disturbing you." As I'm getting up you roll your eyes and sigh as you pull me back down, wrapping your arm around my waist. "You're such a brat. And so needy." A wide grin forms on my face "Yes, but you know you love me." You don't reply, but the look on your face is enough of an answer, you know I'm right. Leaning forward I slowly kiss your lips, starting as a peck and working up to light tongue, my fingers drawing slow little circles along your neck as you run your fingers through my hair. I pull away with a sweet yet love drunk smile, slightly dazed. You'd never admit it, but you had the same look on your face too. I pause, just wanting to look at you as I continue running my fingertips along your neck. You cup my cheek, running your thumb across my bottom lip, just watching me. With one final peck to your lips I close my eyes and snuggle back into your chest again, content. As I'm just getting cozy you tap my side, I snuggle closer "Hmm?" "Turn around, if you're gonna distract me from work I wanna be comfortable too." I whine and cling tighter, not wanting to move even a little bit. You pinch my side "If you don't move I'll do it for you, and you know I will." Sighing, I begin to comply "Fine." I whine. You pinch my side again, harder "Don't be a brat or I'll go back to what I was doing." I pout but stop fussing as I flip over onto my side, faced away from you. You turn onto your side as well and wrap your arms around me, pulling me close as you rest your head in the crook of my neck. As I'm snuggling closer, your thumb peeks it's way below my shirt, rubbing slow little circles there as you leave little kisses on my neck and our legs entwine. There's nothing sexual in it's meaning, it's simply another way to let me know you're there. It's such a small thing but it makes me feel safe, protected and loved, like nothing in this moment could hurt me as long as I'm in your arms. We lay like that for some time, just enjoying having each other close when we slowly drift into sleep. I awake hours later, still cozied up next to you and it feels so nice. I try to wiggle in just a bit closer and possibly fall back to sleep but that wakes you up. "Stop moving around so much." You pull me tighter against you. "Sorry, god I hate how light of a sleeper you are. Can't snuggle closer even a little bit without you waking up." I can feel you grinning into my neck at that, "Poor little Wolfie." then you start leaving kisses all along my neck, no patch of skin untouched. I'd smack you for teasing me but I'm enjoying your touch too much to bother, which you very well knew would happen. Oh well, I'll get you back for that later, for now I'll just enjoy the affection you're giving me. You stop for a moment, "You know I'm going to have to get back to work soon." I sigh and flip over, hiding my face in your chest as you hold me tight "I know, just a little while longer though, please?" You resume your assault on my neck and between kisses you reply, "I can do that." I smile at that and nuzzle your neck, "Love you." As I'm slowly drifting back into sleep you reply with a smile, "Love you too, my little wolf."
