Daishou ran frantically upstairs, his loud huffs and gasping for air echoed in the dim-lit, half-empty house. He stumbled and almost fell several times because of how quickly and sloppily he ran, earning bruises on his legs and k knees, but he didn't mind and kept on going. When he reached the third floor, he ran towards the first room, got inside, and locked the door before hiding under the bed.
What an idiot. Out of all the places he could have gone to, he chose to stay in a room without escape, while hiding under the bed? What classic bullshit.
Utterly boring.
His face was plastered with nothing but shock, his eyes were wide and his mouth hung agape. His dead-pale complexion made him look more like a corpse than a live human being. His chest rose and fell as he breathed heavily, gasping for air.
Daishou still cannot believe that the quondam lover whom he once adored is now trying to kill him. The man suddenly came into his house, instantly stabbing him on his right shoulder when he opened the door. He felt the trickle of blood running down his arm but paid it no more mind, focusing his eyes on the door and his ears to the faint sounds, quietly scooting at the back side underneath the bed.
Kuroo on the other hand who came uninvitedly walked around the house, not exactly trying to look for his target because he already knew he went upstairs, but only because he was trying to familiarize himself in the place that he also once considered his home. It was still the same way when he left it, neat and organized because of how much of a clean freak his former lover was.
After a few more minutes of walking around the space, he started to trail up the stairs, slowly and carefully landing each foot on the steps. His right hand held the support, whilst his left hand held the blood-tainted knife that he used to stab Daishou's right shoulder.
The reason why such a prejudice existed between them is unexplainable, but maybe a mastermind was behind it, they both do not know.
Kuroo reached the third floor and walked towards the room where Daishou had gone toㅡ he knows he went to the first room because the spots of crimson led him to it. He reached out to the knob and twisted it to open the door.
Daishou's breath hitched when he heard the door creaking open. He was sure that he locked it, so how did Kuroo manage to open it?
Well, he did lock the door, or at least he thought he did. The lock didn't give a "click-click" sound, which meant it was still open. If he could slap his face, he would have, but unfortunately the underside of the bed didn't give him too much space to do so.
He saw Kuroo enter the room, and he felt his own stomach churning. The former's feet slowly moved, walking towards the bed. Daishou held himself, but before he was ready for what was about to come, he got dragged out from under the bed and was pushed atop it.
Kuroo placed himself on top of Daishou's body and raised the knife, without delay, even before Daishou could react, Kuroo stabbed him directly to his chest. And then he stabbed him in his stomach. And then he stabbed him again. And again. And again. And again. And again! And again! Stab! Stab! Stab! Stab! Stabbity-stab! Stabㅡ
"Kenma!"
Fuck.
I sighed, and turned off the voice recorder beside my computer before looking at the door of my room where I saw my friend, Atsumu, looking at me like I did something wrong. His hands were over his chest, he was upright with a brow raised at me.
"Why was Kuroo stabbing Daishou? He doesn't have any reason to," he told me with genuine curiosity. Like I care? Idiot. I only shook my head and faced my computer screen, looking at the cameras that are placed inside the house where Kuroo and Daishou are.
"And, are you sure you still want to play with their dead bodies like puppets? I feel sick when I see them moving around like that. Even more so when I hear you narrating their actions as if they were stil alive," Atsumu babbled and complained like a fucking bitch which had me feeling more irritated.
"Can you shut the fuck up? I'm playing! Don't bother me!" I yelled at him, and once again turned my gaze back to the computer and picked up my controller which controls the strings on the ceiling where the strings that are attached to Kuroo and Daishou's bodies are being held by machines that I made to control puppets.
I sighed and reached out to the recorder to turn it on, but Atsumu cut me off.
"Why are you doing this, Kenma?" he asked with a hint of threat, so I didn't have any other choice but to look at him and give him an answer.
"Because I was trapped in a world where I wasn't able to reach them. They left me behind, and that is one thing that I hate the most in this world. I felt mocked and ridiculed about being alone although they called me their friend," I said although I wasn't exactly sure if what I answered were all true.
Do you need a reason to want to control people?Puppeteers didn't need a reason to control their puppets, so why should I have one?
