It was late at night in Polus and everyone was very asleep, all expect for one person as they were sitting on the edge of the bridge where the lava was, their feet simply dangling above the lava and due to the heat emitting from the lava, they were kept warm from the cold air of the night.
Letting out a soft sigh, Player slightly leans his elbows against his thighs as he was staring down at the bubbling lava, lost in thought. He couldn't help but think back of what had happened earlier that day, that moment where two of his best friends had confessed to him, luckily not at the same time but still in a difficult situation. Player had been left speechless by the double confession and a little terrified mostly due to not being able to decide between the two mostly due to having feelings with both of them as well.
"Oh geez...." Player breathed out as he was idly playing with the edge of his red beanie, feeling mixed emotions bubbling in his chest.
On one hand, Veteran was his oldest friend and was always by his side despite him having his blonde moments but is always straight forward with what he wanted to say. And on the other hand, Captain had always been nice to him ever since they had met and always had him involved in every match and like Veteran, Captain tend to have his idiotic moments and sometimes tend to be gullible but is caring.
Letting out a small groan, Player soon covered his face with his beanie and let himself fall backwards onto his back, feeling the warm metal pressed against his back. "Why is this so confusing" he softly groan out before removing the beanie and stared up at the night sky, starting to feel a bit frustrated. Soon he slightly tilted his head upwards when he heard footsteps behind him and was soon face-to-face with one of his friends.
"Oh....hey Mr. Cheese"
"Hello Player, what are you doing up at this time?" the orange haired man simply stated as he was standing behind him and looking down with a curious expression. "Oh....just doing some thinking" Player simply answered with a sigh, "Want to talk about it?" Mr. Cheese offered, surprising Player for a moment before he slowly nodded and pushed himself up.
Soon both men were sitting on the edge, side-by-side as Mr. Cheese patiently waiting for Player to start while the redhead was trying to find the right words.
"Its just.....both Veteran and Captain told me that they liked me and wanted to take me out but...." Player trailed off as Mr. Cheese was silently listening, waiting for the other to continue. "I-I...don't know how to choose between the two a-and....I really like them both..ugh" the redhead let out a frustrated groan before slouching a bit.
Mr. Cheese let out a small hum in response before reaching up and patting Player's shoulder, comforting him, "Maybe you three should talk about it" Mr Cheese softly answered making Player lift his head to look at the other. "I mean, if you three can't communicate then they might assume something completely different and all of you might get hurt" the orange haired explained.
"Well...when you put it like that" Player said with a sigh while nodding a bit before moving to his feet causing Mr. Cheese to look up at him, "I'm going to leave them both a note and we're going to talk about it in the morning" Player stated in a determined tone, "Thanks for your advice" the redhead quickly thanked Mr. Cheese before quickly leaving, heading back to his room to start his notes.
(Morning)
It was early in the morning as the only sound was heard was two separate footsteps echoing throughout the metal hallway, sounding in union before both footsteps finally stopped merely a few inches from the same door.
"Mm, hello Veteran"
"Oh hey Captain"
Both men were staring at each other, the Captain's stare was slightly suspicious while Veteran's stare was carefree, before both of them noticed a note in their hands.
"Huh, did Player also gave you a note?" Veteran asked the other whom slowly nodded, "Yeah"
But before they could continue to talk, the door suddenly opened revealing to be Player whom was happy to see both men waiting.
"Hey guys"
"Hey bestie~"
"Hey man"
Player couldn't help but smile at their response before signalling them to come inside and once inside, he gently closed the door to finally start the conversation they needed.
