Chapter 1: Being a teacher is hard

Chapter Text

I guess we could say Isagi Yoichi is an early graduate and after many stages of teaching, he finally became an official college teacher that was going to have HIS own class... wow that's a lot of pressure. Unlike other teachers, Isagi was young and down to earth, he was actually friends with some of his students. Speaking of friendly students, two of his are pretty much oblivious to each other's love and it was slowly killing him on the inside. He was wondering if he should actually help these poor love struck students, until a loud slam interrupted the classroom's silent work.

"I SWEAR TO GOD KUNIGAMI IF YOU DON'T STOP THROWING YOUR PEN AT ME I AM GOING TO KILL YOU-"

"Calm down your royal highness."

"Kunigami, Chigiri, shut up and leave my classroom if you can't stay quiet."

The two never were on good terms. Kunigami had always been a little shit towards Chigiri, always trying to get his attention even if he had to act like a middle schooler while Chigiri was mostly oblivious to Kunigami's cry for attention instead thinking it was an act of hatred.

Both of them glared at Isagi as the young teacher glared at them with more authority (he was CLEARLY the one with the upper hand even though the two males were taller than him).

"Stop looking at me like that you two and get back to work."

For the last twenty minutes of class, there wasn't any other interesting events that happened - thankfully because Isagi was just not having it today.

"Okay class is over, pack up your things and I'll see you on Monday."

All of the students echoed, "See you on Monday Mr. Isagi."

As Isagi passed the gates of his *cough* dreaded *cough* amazing work place, he heard Chigiri screaming his name while running towards him.

"Isagi!" The reddish pink head said in between breaths.

"Yeah?'' Isagi replied as he kept walking, not even bothering to see who it was.

The boy finally caught up to his teacher, now friend, and finally caught his breath, ''Is it possible for you to expel Kunigami from the school? It's a genuine question.''

Isagi leveled him with a knowing stare, ''You do know he's doing it for your attention right?''

''Yeah I know that but- WHAAAAAA?!?''

The young teacher face palmed, ''Jesus Christ,'' he muttered, ''wasn't it obvious this whole time?''

As the two walked towards Chigiri's house, Isagi had to listen to his flustered student rant about his denial.

As Isagi plopped down onto his couch, Bachira decided it was the perfect time to call him. The raven head responded involuntarily to his bestfriend.

''HEEEEEEEYYY SEEXYYYY'', Isagi had to pull his phone away from his ear. He loves Bachira, he really does, but sometimes he just doesn't understand how he can be so energetic all the time.

''What do you want?'' Isagi said not even trying to hide the irritation in his voice.

''Oof, that was cold, even for you.''

Isagi instantly saw through Bachira's plans.

''You need something don't you, just tell me already.''

''Whaaat? Pfft, nooo... why would I ask my beautiful kind friend for something?''

Isagi leaned back on the couch, unimpressed with Bachira's attempt at lying.

''Bachira.''

Bachira sighed, ''Okay, okay, you caught me. I have a favor to ask you.''

''Go on.''

''So, you know my job at "Coffee Café" "Uh huh" "Well, I was wondering if you'd be able to cover my morning shift for me" "When?" "Uuuhh.. tomorrow?" Bachira chuckled nervously as Isagi contemplated the reason as to why he was friends with this hooligan.

"You call me now... AT 10PM... to ask me to cover your shift that starts at 5am on a SATURDAY MORNING!?!"

"Hehe... surprise?"

"Ugh fine, you are so lucky that you're my best friend."

As the night faded away into darkness, Bachira and Isagi decided that it was time to go to sleep, since Isagi would need a good night sleep for work tomorrow.

PS - sorry for the late post!

Chapter Text

When Isagi arrived at the Cafe, he went straight to the locker room in the back and changed into Bachira's uniform. The uniform was surprisingly comfortable and fit him pretty well, considering Bachira and him were around the same size. There were only three workers during his shift and even though they noticed that Isagi was not their familiar energetic co-worker, they didn't seem to mind or question it, thankfully. Isagi sighed and went up front waiting for customers to arrive, although he didn't expect anyone to come considering how early in the morning it was.

"Only 3 hours of this boring job then I can go home and sleep." Isagi thought.

Time flew by faster than he thought. He thinks he was probably asleep the whole time, so he was grateful that there weren't any customers that arrived yet.

Isagi pulled out his phone to check the time, "Only 30 minutes left already? How much did I sleep?"

While waiting until his shift was over, he examined the place. Isagi has never visited his friend's work place now that he thinks about it. He's a bit embarrassed about it, but Isagi hates and I mean HATES the taste of coffee and he couldn't think of anything else he wants to get here. The place just looked like your average coffee shop with the smell of caffeine and freshly baked bread. Isagi's daydreaming was interrupted when a customer entered. The customer looked a bit odd; he wore a black cap, black sunglasses, and a black mask with a tucked in stone grey t-shirt and dark tight denim jeans. Though, what bothered Isagi the most was why he covered up his face so much.

"Maybe he's a robber and he's trying to kill me."

Isagi's thoughts started filling his head until he was, again, interrupted from his crises.

"Can I have a medium ice cap please?"

"Sure, is that all?"

The customer seemed confused when Isagi asked that.

"Was I not supposed to say that?" Isagi thought.

"Are you not gonna ask who I am because of my voice?" The customer began.

"Am I supposed to know you?..."

The customer then took off their accessories and Isagi could finally see their face.

"Oh this guy is good looking alright", Isagi realized, "but I still have no idea who he is."

"Now do you recognize me?"

"I'm sorry, but I have NO idea who you are."

The customer signed for him to come closer, "My name is Rin Itoshi." He whispered.

"And I still don't know who you are", Isagi whispered back mockingly. Isagi assumed that this "Rin" guy didn't want anything else, "Your total is $3.29." The customer bursted out laughing.

"I have never met anyone who doesn't know who I am." Rin said as he gave Isagi the money.

Isagi put the money in the cash register and started making the ice cap while listening to Rin.

"I'm a model."

The realization hit Isagi.

"Ahhh.. that explains your pretty boy face. So you're a celebrity? No wonder I "should've" known you."

Isagi put on the lid and stuck a straw inside. He went back to Rin and slid it on the counter.

"Thanks." He tasted a bit of his drink before putting on his accessories again. "Well I better get going before someone finds where I am. Hope we get to see each other again sometime." He said before leaving.

Isagi jumped out of his skin when he suddenly felt a vibration in his pocket, "and my shift is finally over. My sweet bed, I'm coming back." He said to himself.

Chapter 3: Being a Best Friend is Hard

Notes:

Sorry we're late with this chapter, haven't had enough time. Now that our excuses are out of the way, enjoy this new chapter of Isagi finally meeting Nagi ( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)

Chapter Text

Now that it was finally Sunday, Isagi thought he could have the weekend all to himself, those plans were quickly squashed when his annoying best friend called him up. Bachira told him to look out his window and believe it or not, the little bastard was waiting for him outside.

''BACHIRA?'' Isagi opened the door surprised. ''Heyy'' Bachira replied as he invited himself in.

''What are you doing here?''

Bachira made a beeline for Isagi's bedroom and started to pull out clothes from his disorganized closet, placing two outfits he found fit for the young man. Isagi watched this happen with a confused look.

"Once again, I am asking you, what are you doing?"

Bachira held up the two items and asked "Which one do you want? I was thinking stylish but grungy." As Isagi realized what his friend was implying his eyes grew wide as he pleaded him not to take him to that terrible place again. "Not THAT club, please you can't! Not after what happened last time."

"So what? You spilled a drink on yourself and puked on someone's shoes, it wasn't THAT bad. You just need to learn how to let loose and have fun without stressing out."

After choosing the preferable outfit, Isagi walked into the club with Bachira by his side. He wore a sleeveless black turtle neck with baggy white pants. He felt comfortable and in his element, but still appropriate for clubbing. Bachira on the other hand, wore a buttoned up white shirt and dark denim straight-legged jeans to match. ''Hey Isagi could you get me a drink? You know one of those fancy cocktail drinks I ordered the last time we came here.''

''Yeah, just make sure you don't do anything stupid while I'm gone, please.''

A couple minutes later, Isagi bought the drink and walked back to his friend. This is a little over the top... I feel so out of place here, but Bachira wants me here and it makes him happy, so I guess it's alrig- He bumped against a solid wall, which caused him to drop the drinks. The glasses fell, shards shattering across the floor, he felt a hand grab at his waist as he tried to catch his balance. Isagi quickly looked up to see a tall white-haired man with gray widened eyes that quickly reverted back to a blank expression. The raven isn't specifically looking for a relationship or anything- but he knew when to admit to himself when someone was attractive. And this guy...was hot.

''Oh my God I'm so sorry!'' Isagi's face started reddening from the embarrassment. He bent down, opening his palm to quickly pick up the pieces so the other guy wouldn't get hurt. Suddenly, he felt a grip on both of his wrists pulling him up with little to no effort.

''Hey don't do that, you'll get hurt.'' Isagi looked up only to meet those same eyes of the guy he bumped into.

''Just leave it. The janitors will take care of it, they do it all the time.'' The shorter of the two got a little irritated at that. ''So I'm just supposed to be lousy and not clean up after myself? Just push all the work onto other people?'' The other turned around to look down at him. There was no mistaking it this time, he was actually surprised. ''You're...interesting?'' Isagi just blinked in confusion, glaring up at the taller guy, ''What's that supposed to mean?'' He said in a cold tone.

''Isagi what are you- NAGI?'' Both boys turned to the right to see Bachira.

''Bachira?'' They both said in unison.

''Woah woah woah, wait you know him?'' Isagi asked the white haired guy.

''He's my brother.'' Isagi stared blankly at the tall man processing what he had just said. ''Bachira, is this guy your adoptive brother you told me about?!'' Bachira gave him a toothy smile and nodded. ''I just never got the chance to introduce him to you.''

''So... who are you?'' Bachira's brother asked with no tone. ''Oh right I forgot to introduce you two to each other'' The energetic boy began, ''Nagi this is Isagi, my best friend, and Isagi this is my brother, Nagi. Now that introductions are over, do you mind explaining why there's broken glass on the floor?'' Isagi looked at Nagi with an unexpressive look, and then squatted back down to continue cleaning up his mess. However, he was once again interrupted. Nagi grabbed his wrist, pulling him up as he put a hand on the raven's hip and moved Isagi to the other side of him where there was no glass. ''You are so persistent, you know that?'' Nagi sighed frustratingly.

Bachira walked up to the shattered cups with a towel in his hand and picked up the remains. ''Hey! Bachira you didn't have to.''

''It's fine, it's fine, you were going to be an idiot about it and get cut anyways if Nagi didn't stop you.'' Bachira dropped the towel on the bar and walked back to the two. ''I don't need my drinks, I've got you.'' Bachira leaned in and winked. Isagi chuckled, ''ya, whatever you gremlin."

''Isagi'' The so called raven turned around with a questioning look on his face. ''Come to my party next weekend, you can bring some friends if you want to'' Bachira's eyes sparkled as he jumped up and down, ''of course we'll come!'' ''Huh? I did not agree-'' ''Bachira will tell you all the details later then.'' Nagi said without a care in the world and left.
