Kyosuke frowned and closed his eyes, trying to memorize the material for the final exam of the semester.
"You already understand the logic part, you can get the theoretical part out of your sleeve," he heard his friend's voice from behind him. Friend? Special friend... - Kyosuke thought as he grimaced again.
"If you understand..."
"You have nothing better to do, Reiji?" he still didn't open his eyes, blindly starting to search at the table in front of him, looking for the glass of cold water he had hoped the other had already prepared. Before he knocked the glass over, Reiji picked up his notes from the wooden table.
"You know, honey, my head hurts so fucking much, but if my memory doesn't cheat me, you too will be taking an exam tomorrow…"
"Exactly," Reiji hissed as Kyosuke pulled him by the hair to the table to kiss him on the neck.
"So...you still don't feel like studying?"
"I can't study with you, if I do, only one of us will benefit. And I already have the minimum credit for this semester even if I fail this exam right now."
"As if you don't care."
"Because I don't."
"With an average GPA of eighty-four? At the university? And you don’t care," Kyosuke growled, trying to bury himself somewhere between the twelfth and forty-third topic.
"I don't have to spend more time studying than the minimum. If I have that piece of paper, it will open the doors for me, and my average will not interest anyone. If I fell out of state-funded training, I would pay. Accept, you won’t get ahead of me as a teacher's pet" the answer was a whisper, and Reiji poured himself champagne and pulled it down on a shoot.
Another mutter.
"If you're talking to me, Higuchi, do it coherently, or I don't understand."
"Fuck your champagne."
"Hmm, from the two of us, you're the one who fucks things," he said, pouring himself another glass. Higuchi's pupil, like that of the animals, dilated.
"It's late. I'm going to bed with that textbook,” he declared, then looked up at the other.
"Then good night and good luck if we don't meet tomorrow, Kyosuke."
"I mean, only if I can take you too."
