It shouldn’t have come as a shock that Miles was someone who had a proper wardrobe. For someone who tends to favor the same look in court (much like Phoenix does), the rest of his clothes are quite varied.
Hell, he even has variations on that same suit. A lighter cotton blend for the shirt and jacket for warmer seasons, a heavier wool one for when it gets cold.
When Phoenix first moved in officially (because they are a couple now, officially), and he had seen Miles’ casual around-the-town and at home looks he thought for sure his heart wouldn’t be able to take it. He had wanted to tease Miles’ fastidious closet organization, how he had things divided by seasons and by colors and by levels of formality, but when he had seen him in dark, tight fitting jeans and a maroon sweater lounging on the couch, all higher thought went out the window.
That had been late in the fall and, now that a whole year has passed and fall has circled around once again, Phoenix can definitively say that Miles’ autumnal selections are, by far, his favorite.
Something about deep reds and browns and the muted warmth that comes with Miles’ fall fashion suits him. It makes things feel homey and that, combined with the cooler weather, gives Phoenix the perfect excuse to cuddle with him.
Then again, he also looks good in his winter clothes as well. Lots of deep blues and grays that perfectly match the tone of his eyes and hair.
And his spring looks? The light blues and, when Phoenix is particularly lucky, pale lavenders, are gorgeous on him.
Summer is good too, however. Phoenix remembers the first time he saw Miles in a pair of khaki Bermuda shorts and how he very nearly fainted because there was so much leg there.
But, he’s getting sidetracked. Miles’ looks are all good. He’s always effortlessly stylish no matter the weather or the time of year, but out of all of them, fall is Phoenix’s favorite.
Case and point, Phoenix is approaching the cafe where they’re scheduled to meet for brunch and Miles is in that lovely maroon sweater again. The button up he’s wearing beneath it is a slate gray and he looks so classy but also so cozy that Phoenix absolutely must swoop in to plant a kiss on his cheek by way of hello.
