He stared at your door, unsure about what to do. Should he talk to you or let it slide?
Fuck, it was so fucking annoying.
You were assigned to a small mission that morning, a minor singularity, nothing too serious. Ashwattama accompanied you and Mash because you insisted, he wouldn't even bother otherwise.
The situation, however, got complicated pretty quickly and soon you found yourselves surrounded by a group of skeletons inside the cave you were in.
That irritated him.
As usual.
He was the first one engaging the fight, followed by a panicked Mash who clearly didn't know how to deal with him.
You were supporting your servants a couple of meters away when you saw how more skeletons were coming.
What looked like a normal situation soon became a pain in the ass. They went from 9 to 20 in less than a minute.
And he was running out of patience.
Ashwattama charged against the enemies driven by rage.
Blinded by rage.
And then he got distracted.
Neither him or Mash could react on time.
In a blink, one of the monsters swiftly rushed at you. Fortunately you reacted on time, avoiding a fatal wound, but that didn't mean it's sword didn't slash your skin. You fell on the hard rocky floor of the cave, just to be picked up by Mash.
That made him explode.
He couldn't remember what happened next after Mash went to your aid, his body moved by itself. Before he knew it there was no enemy left standing.
You made an emergency rayshift back to take you to de infirmary, where you spent the rest of the day.
He couldn't check you up sooner. Or better said, he was too angry to do so.
He was careless.
He was careless and because of his fucking fault...
Ashwattama knocked at the door on an impulse, opening the door immediately after, without letting you even react.
"Oi, Master!"
You stared at him in shock, not expecting your servant to interrupt you while changing. He approached you with a frown on his face and for a moment you thought he was mad at you.
"Ash?"
Maybe he was worried.
He pulled you closer, still focused on the wound on your body. It healed better than expected, healing magic sure it's something, huh?
His fingers caressed the scar carefully, yet you still flinched at the touch. Even if it wasn't really painful it still hurt a bit.
You had more marks over your skin, he wondered how you got them.
How many times did you get hurt?
Just the thought made his blood boil.
"Hey!"
You pinched his nose without a warning.
"I'm ok you know? I would still be laying in bed otherwise so stop worrying."
He used his right hand to squeeze your cheeks in the most aggressive way possible.
"Ouch, that hurts jackass!"
"I'm glad you're ok"
That was a surprise.
"Well, I'm tougher than I look. But if you're still so worried about me... I guess you can stay here for tonight."
"... Fine by me."
