Tachihara has a problem.
One big problem that can be split into two, actually.
One problem is Suehiro Tecchou.
A kindhearted, yet not too bright jock who has been continually asking Tachihara out on dates.
And who is he to decline?
Tachihara genuinely likes Tecchou a lot.
He has no idea what he did to win the other's admiration but Tachihara is actually enjoying it quite a lot.
He feels genuinely cared for whenever he's with the other.
And he feels cared for right now while they're walking around the amusement park Tecchou took him to.
It seems like a childish dating idea.
But… that's kinda what Tachihara likes about Tecchou.
He just doesn't care about what others think.
He only wants to make Tachihara happy.
And Tachihara is very happy here.
Tecchou bought him so many delicacies they tried together and the rides themselves are really fun too!
It's just a shame that Tecchou looks stoic on every single one of them whereas Tachihara looks either shocked or excited.
One could think that Tecchou isn't enjoying himself considering his ever present nonchalant expression and his rather matter of factly, boring way to speak.
But whoever knows Tecchou is well aware of the fact that there's genuine joy and excitement hiding beneath the facade.
Tecchou is just bad at expressing his emotions.
Apparently he has always been that way.
Yet Tachihara doesn't mind that too much.
He can still tell how much Tecchou cares and how happy he is to be here with him.
Tachihara is genuinely having a blast.
There are multiple times where he considered kissing the other.
While Tecchou was feeding him some snacks,
while they were on slow rides,
after Tecchou won a giant teddy bear for Tachihara,
and right now while they're standing in front of Tachihara's dorm.
They're just standing there.
Almost awkwardly expecting something to happen, anything, really.
Tecchou is gentle and respectful.
He won't force Tachihara into a kiss.
He won't be the one leaning forward unless Tachihara does so first.
And Tachihara really wants to lean forward and place a kiss on Tecchou's lips.
He wants to so badly.
He has wanted to do it ever since Tecchou took him on their second date.
Yet he still turns away last minute and proclaims:
"I've had a fun evening.
Until tomorrow, Tecchou!"
It is awkward.
It always is…
Yet somehow Tecchou still hasn't gotten fed up with him.
Somehow he still continues asking him out…
Tecchou just shows Tachihara a rare and gentle smile as he says:
"Goodnight Tachihara."
Oh god, Tachihara's heart is pounding.
The second he closed the door,
Tachihara is sliding down onto the floor and throwing his head in his hands.
He's such a horrible date.
He should've just kissed Tecchou!
That would've solved this whole issue!
But no… Tachihara once again pulled away at the last minute.
And why?
Because of his second problem, Jouno Saigiku.
As expected, when Tachihara finally checks his phone after his date with Tecchou, there's already a message from Jouno asking if they can go on a date tomorrow.
Since he's a giant moron, Tachihara agrees.
Jouno is smart.
Extremely smart.
Way smarter than Tachihara will ever be.
He once again has no clue how he managed to catch Jouno's interest.
Due to Jouno's blindness, it definitely can't have been Tachihara's looks.
But as mentioned before, Tachihara definitely didn't impress Jouno with his intelligence either…
Well, either way, Tachihara is glad that Jouno likes him.
He can and will be incredibly scary and rude towards everyone he doesn't like or fails to tolerate.
Yet he's so caring towards Tachihara.
He always feels so special and loved whenever he's with Jouno.
Especially since contrary to Tecchou, Jouno has absolutely no issues showcasing his admiration.
However, he's also a bit more reserved in his dating ideas than Tecchou.
Yet Tachihara supposed that it's probably mostly due to the other's sharpened senses.
Being at an amusement park with Tecchou is fun.
But it'd be an absolute nightmare with Jouno who'd probably be overwhelmed by all the noises.
Therefore, they have more quiet and romantic dates.
This time Jouno invited Tachihara out to a picnic at the park.
Luckily, it's at a time where most kids are at school and other college students are either at classes or home drunk.
Hence, they have the whole park for themselves.
Tachihara really likes that.
The sound of birds chirping without any loud children interrupting it is really nice.
He also likes all the pretty flowers at the park.
Tachihara would definitely pick the nearby ones and make a flower crown for Jouno.
He looks so pretty with it!
Tachihara would love to just lean forward and kiss the other.
But in the end he doesn't…
Kissing Tecchou feels like he'd betray Jouno.
Yet kissing Jouno feels like he'd betray Tecchou.
It's ridiculous.
But it's the exact issue he's having.
Jouno wipes some bread crumbs off Tachihara's lip before leaning forward to place a kiss on them.
If he was smart, Tachihara would just allow it to happen and solve the problem.
However, he's a fool who moves away with the idiotic excuse:
"I just… don't feel ready yet."
Tachihara is blushing in embarrassment.
He could've had so many first kisses and up until now he has declined every single one of them.
He's such an idiot…
One day both Jouno and Tecchou will just drop him because he couldn't pick just one!
Yet that day doesn't appear to be today.
Jouno just chuckled and leaned back,
patting Tachihara's head reassuringly.
Tachihara can't bring himself to look at Jouno.
He feels so stupid.
As if he's exploiting him…
But Jouno just says:
"It's fine.
I can wait for you."
Tachihara honestly has know idea what he did for Jouno to be this considerate and caring towards him.
Because quite frankly, he's convinced Jouno would've long killed whoever else would reject him so many times.
Yet the other must really have a massive sweet spot for him…
Tachihara sure is lucky.
Or unlucky since Jouno falling out of love with him could solve his issue as well.
But unfortunately both Jouno and Tecchou are still going strong and never give up on Tachihara.
It's a miracle, honestly.
Tachihara has no idea how they do it.
Personally, he would've long given up on himself since he's such a mess…
Yet Jouno and him just finish up their date before Jouno escorts Tachihara to his room where he tells him that he hopes they can meet each other again soon.
Jouno will send him a message once he knows when he's free.
Tachihara is once again just left standing there, feeling like a fool.
He doesn't deserve those two.
He's so head over heels in love with both of them.
It's ridiculous.
Absolutely ridiculous.
Just why can't he choose?!
Tachihara has two of the most beautiful and most desired people on campus wanting to date him and he's rejecting both of them constantly!
What is wrong with him?!
Tachihara has considered both of their pros and cons over and over again.
He has compared them numerous times.
And yet Tachihara has never been able to find a definite winner of his heart.
Because honestly?
He's in love with both of them.
How is that even possible?
