Brimstone Bingo

Summary:

While Willow and Gus bring Rodney to play a game called brimstone bingo for the evening, Luz and Amity are left to spend some quality time together as well as to finally be able to express their feelings for one another after Amity kissed Luz.

Notes:

Well, here is my second Owl House fanfic. I had this one ready to go since last month, but I originally had a second story set in between The Other Human and this one, but after the show's recent episode, I chose to scrap that other one, and make this my second fanfic. I am so happy with how this one turned out, and I wish I had it posted in time for Pride Month, but I am glad I was able to add the tweaks due to recent events in the series. My amigo AusWriter36 co-wrote this with me, and he deserves half the credit for this story. Please go check out his work since he's done some really good stories. I am so glad to finally have my first Lumity story out, and I hope you enjoy.

I do not own The Owl House. All credits go to Dana Terrace and Disney.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

It was a late Friday afternoon on the Boiling Isles. School was over for the weekend, and everyone was happy to have two days to relax and unwind after another week at school. Luz Noceda was at the Owl House as she waited for her friends to show up for a fun filled evening. “So Luz, what time are your friends coming over so I know when to start preparing your dinner?” Eda asked.

-”They said they'd be here in about an hour.” Luz answered.

-”So what are you kids going to be up to tonight?” Eda asked.

-”Uhh...” Luz muttered to herself. “I guess we'll be eating dinner, and the rest will kinda work from there.”

-”I gotcha kiddo.” Eda replied. “Hey King! Don't forget that you're supposed to clean up that mess in the foyer of the house before the guests arrive.”

-”Why do I have to do it?” King angrily replied as he woke up from his nap. “Hooty's the one who did it in the first place.”

-”But yooouuuu have the hands that I lack, hoot hoot.” Hooty said from outside.

-”I don't care who did it. It needs to be cleaned up pronto.” Eda shouted. King grumbled to himself in his usual cute animal sound, leapt off the couch before he slouched towards the foyer.

-”Please try to keep a low profile while you're out there Eda.” Luz said in a concerned tone.

-”You don't need to worry about me kiddo.” Eda reassured Luz. “Lilith has always chosen spots for our weekly hangouts where we wont be seen, and it's worked great so far. “At the same time however I also hope you're staying careful when you're out. I know you have your friends with you, but if someone from that blasted Emperor's Coven comes for you who knows what that could mean for you and your friends.”

-”Believe me Eda, I'll make sure they don't hurt me or my friends.” Luz replied as she turned around and looked out the window.

-”That's my student.” Eda replied as she noticed she was getting a call on her raven. “One moment Luz, I think Lilith wants to talk to me.”

-”I'll still be here.” Luz replied as she was waiting on the sofa waiting patiently for her friends to arrive for their hangout.

We then see that Rodney along with his pet tortoise Ben are walking along the path to the Owl House as they are looking around for the others to meet up with them before they continue. “I could have sworn that Gus said they'd meet us here around this time.” Rodney said as he was looking at the time on his smartphone.

-”I'm sure they'll be here soon.” Ben replied.

-”Hey guys!” a voice spoke from behind them, causing the two to shriek for a moment, before they realized it was just Gus. “Whoa! I wasn't even trying scare you that time.”

-”We just get startled from unexpected sounds Gus.” Rodney replied as the two high fived.

-”Well then, let us head over to meet up with Luz everyone.” Willow remarked.

-”Yes! Luz! Away we go!” Gus pointed towards the Owl House direction, and the group made their way.

-”Yep! Off to Luz we go...” Amity quietly mumbled to herself, followed by a sigh.

-”What was that Amity?” Rodney asked.

-”Nothing!” Amity blurted blushing a little. “I was just talking about... What we're gonna be doing.”

-”Okay then!” Rodney replied as they came up to the front door of the Owl House, but Hooty was not there at the front to see them.

-”Good thing that owl thing isn't here to greet us.” Ben remarked.

-”Hoooooot?” The bird tube overheard, coming back from the inside. “Would I happen to be that owl thing?”

-”Ah! Hooty!” Gus exclaimed. “Just let us go inside without a fuss.”

-”I'm not here to fuss hoot hoot. I'm haaaappy to have company.” Hooty replied as he swirled around the group.

-”I see he's just as energetic as ever.” Rodney remarked as the door opened to let them all in. “Hey Luz.” Rodney cried out as she came over to greet them.

-”Well, if isn't the good old Owl House gang.” Luz said happily. “You're looking good as ever Gus.” Luz gave Gus a high five.

-”Yes! High fives from a human are a blessing to me.” Gus cried as he rushed past her.

-”Willow!” How's the best plant girl doing this fine night” Luz smirked.

-”Shucks!” Willow replied as she blushed. “I'm doing well.” Willow replied as she walked past her, and Rodney and Ben approached her.

-”Hey! My new and great Earth buddies.” Luz said, giving Rodney a high five and Ben a pat on his shell.

-”It's always great to see you Luz.” Rodney replied.

-”You can say that again.” Ben grinned as they walked past Luz to get inside the house, making Amity the final member of the group to walk up to the entrance of the house.

-”And last is you Amity.” Luz gently smiled. “Can't complete this group without you.” She gave Amity a hug, causing her to blush nervously.

-”Uhh... yeah! Thank you Luz.” Amity replied before breaking from the hug and walking past her.

-”Well, now that we're all here we can figure out what to do tonight.” Willow remarked before Eda came into the foyer.

-”Bad news kids.” Eda cried out. “Lilith really needs me to see her as soon as possible, and that means I have to leave now. I'm sorry to say I wont be able to make dinner for you, and are you kids okay with being on your own for dinner tonight?

-”Don't worry about us Ms. Clawthorne.” said Amity. “We'll take care of ourselves.”

-”Okay then.” Eda replied. “I'll be back later tonight, and Luz, please be careful if you kids go out.”

-”Don't worry, I'll be fine.” Luz smiled.

-”That's my girl.” Eda smiled as she got on her staff, and started of fly off. “Have fun tonight kids.”

-”Bye Eda!” the kids all said, before she flew off into the sky.

-”So... What's our plan for tonight.” Gus asked.

-”First we have to figure out something for dinner.” Willow replied.

-”I already ate today so I am good for the rest of the night.” Ben remarked.

-”I always make sure to give Ben enough grass and fresh veggies before the day is up.” Rodney told everyone.

-”Well that doesn't answer our question.” Luz replied, before she heard her stomach growling. “I suppose I can try to whip something up, but keep in mind I'm not exactly a top tier cook.”

-”I can try to give you a hand Luz.” Willow remarked.

-”Eda has that special sauce you can use on vegetables.” King uttered.

-”Do you really think we want food that will run away from us?” Willow asked in a sarcastic tone. “Why don't some of us go into the kitchen, and see what we have to work with?”

-”Alrighty then! Let's see what we can come up with tonight.” Luz said triumphantly. “You coming with us Amity?” Luz asked as Amity looked down silently.

-”No thank you. I'll just wait here.” Amity answered.

-”Okay then! Be back soon.” Luz called out before heading into the kitchen with Willow, Gus, and King. Rodney noticed that Amity was looking rather embarrassed when Luz spoke to her.

-”So Amity, are you still struggling with your feelings for Luz? Rodney asked with a gentle tone. Amity was silent for a moment, then she nodded slowly.

-”It's not just that I'm struggling.” Amity spoke quietly. “Luz knows how I feel about her now. I don't know what made me do it, but one night, she tried to get me my job back at the library, and the next thing I knew, I suddenly gave her a kiss on the cheek, and ever since then, she's felt so... odd around me”

-”I can see how that can affect your relationship.” Rodney said as he gently put his hands on Amity's shoulders. “Something so sudden like that can create a lot of conflicting emotions, even if the other feels the same way you do.”

-”From what we've seen Luz cares deeply about all of her friends, and I doubt she would just reject you if you were to just ask if she wants to be your girlfriend.” Ben assured Amity.

-”I mean, she does turn red whenever she's near me.” Amity replied with her cheeks flushing red. “I guess it isn't a secret that she would like me back. I'm just scared to say something without making it awkward”

-”We don't know what the future holds, but if she does reciprocate your feelings then that would end your state of awkwardness around each other, and you would never have to worry about it anymore.” Rodney said in a kind tone.

-”Besides, we know Luz, and if all you did was flat out ask her, she'd be all over it in a pinch.” Ben remarked.

-”That's true!” Amity replied as she couldn't help but snicker at Ben's comment.

-”I'm sorry to report we don't have much to work with for our limited cooking skills.” Willow said as she and the other came back into the living room.

-”I guess that means we'll have to go out for dinner then?” Rodney asked.

-”Any ideas?” Luz asked. “ I hardly know a single decent place to eat around here.”

-”We can always go to my family restaurant.” Rodney suggested.

-”I always love eating there.” Willow replied. “Your mother's cooking is quite delicious.”

-”Hey guys!” Ben cried out. “Someone left a package on the door, and it's addressed to you Luz.”

-”Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!” Luz exclaimed. “Please be what I think it is.” She opens the door to bring in the box. When she started to unwrap the packaging, she saw exactly what she was hoping for that she couldn't help but squeal with excitement. “ YES! YES! YES! YES! The sixth Azura book is finally here. I've been waiting for it for sooooo long.”

-”What lousy timing.” Willow replied. “It arrives just as we're all going to have our hangout.” As soon as Willow said that Luz noticed she seemed somewhat bummed out, and decided to just put the book aside.

-”But... that can wait.” Luz replied. “Right now, I should be spending time with my friends.”

-”Did you get the new Azura book yet Amity?” Willow asked.

-”No!” Amity exclaimed. “I tried to order it months ago, but it was sold out.” Just then Rodney got an idea.

-”I was wondering.” Rodney exclaimed.

-”What is it Rodney?” Willow asked.

-”Since the new Azura book came out, and both Luz and Amity are the biggest Azura fans in all the known worlds, why don't you two just stay here to read as well as spend some quality time while the rest of us go out to do something?”

-”WHAT?” Amity asked in shock as her whole face turned pink from feeling embarrassed.

-”Uhh, b-but wouldn't it be better to save that for some kind of.... Club meeting?” Luz asked as her face was also starting to heat up from embarrassment.

-”The more I think about it, we were all still going to see each other over the weekend, and due to the more limited circumstances that occurred from Eda leaving I think we can just leave Luz and Amity to spend some quality time over the new Azura book while the rest of us just go out and do something smaller, and save the more exciting group activity for tomorrow.” Willow exclaimed.

-”I'm okay with that.” Rodney replied.

-”Same!” Ben replied.

-”Are you okay with that Gus?” Willow asked.

-”Couldn't agree with that more. Let's leave the Azura fans to their night together.” Gus said happily.

-”Oh Titan, help me.” Amity thought to herself.

-”Oh senor, voy a morir esta noche.” Luz said to herself nervously.

-”Have a great time you two.” Rodney remarked.

-”Let's go King.” Willow said as she gestured towards King.

-”Huh!” King exclaimed.

-”You're coming with us buddy.” Gus responded. “We need to leave our Azura fans to themselves.” Gus explained as he went over to pick up King from his spot causing him to squirm.

-”No!” I did not ask to accompany you.” King yelled as he wrestled to get out of Gus' grasp, but to no avail. “Nyeh! Unhand me right now.”

-”Have a good evening you two.” Rodney said as he gave Amity a reassuring look. However Amity just nervously leaned towards Luz, right as they heard the door closing, and Amity was in a state of awkwardness.

-”Well... I guess it's just us now.” Amity nervously smiled.

-”Yep!” Luz replied as her face looked completely flushed with embarrassment. “So dear Azura fan girl, shall we start on this new book together?” Luz cried out as she nervously wrapped her arm around Amity and opened the book for them to start reading it.

-”Oh this is gonna be a long night...” Amity thought to herself.

-”Why did they do this to us?” Luz thought to herself.

Meanwhile, Boscha, Skara, and Amelia were hanging out at their clubhouse, The Treasure Shack, and were sitting there with nothing to do. “Any ideas Skara? Amelia asked.

-”None whatsoever.” Skara replied. “Who knew you could get tired of Penstagram.”

-”Don't give me that attitude.” Boscha cried out. “You only say that because you look at the same topics all the time.”

-”Maybe she has a point Boscha.” Amelia replied. “I mean, when was the last time we went somewhere to hang that wasn't just this clubhouse?”

-”Why don't we go see if there's something else we can go do together you guys?” Skara suggested.

-”Hard pass!” Boscha said in an uninterested tone.

-”If I think of anything I'll let you girls know.” Skara exclaimed as they just sat there looking at Penstagram.

Sometime later, Willow, Gus, King, Rodney, and Ben had just finished eating, and were all wondering what to do. “I just love your mother's cooking Rodney.” Willow said.

-”I never would have thought that human cuisine would become so popular here on the Boiling Isles.” Rodney replied. “So now that we've eaten, what's something we can all do for the rest of the night?”

-”I think I know something fun we could show Rodney.” Willow replied. “How about if we take Rodney to play brimstone bingo?”

-”Yes! I love brimstone bingo.” Gus said excitedly.

-”If this is something to speed up the night along then do it.” King grumbled.

-”We have a bingo game back on Earth, but what's this brimstone bingo like?” asked Rodney.

-”All you have to do is pick a blank card with blank squares, and a box full of little demons.” Gus explained. “The trick is, you gotta keep those little guys calm, because if they aren't by the time the color is called, they wont leave the mark on the paper. Get all colors you have in a row of five on the squares, and you win.”

-”It definitely sounds more complicated than human bingo.” Rodney replied. “We have the same thing with a card with blank squares, but instead of using demons to mark them we simply have numbers on all the squares with the B I N G O letters at the top, and if you have a particular number for that letter when the number gets called you either use a marker on the card or put a colored bead on that number.”

-”Man, the similarities we have with our worlds is more than I thought.” Gus remarked. “Anyway let's go.” They all headed over to the library where the game was being held, and a group of different people were heading into the building to pick up their cards for the game.

-”This game also has prizes.” Willow explained.

-”What kinds of prizes?” Rodney asked.

-”All kinds of prizes.” Gus answered. “Small, big, rare, and obvious. Sometimes they like to hold events for major prizes to win, and that usually means it's something special.”

-”Cool!” Rodney replied. They walked up to the lady who was handing the cards, and she started to hand them their cards.

-”How many?” asked the lady.

-”To have a better chance to win you can get more than one card.” Willow told Rodney.

-”However, the limit is three cards.” replied the card lady. “No exceptions.”

-”Three cards please?” Gus asked.

-”I'd also like three cards.” Rodney replied.

-”Same!” Willow replied.

-”By the way, those animals of yours aren't allowed to play.” said the card lady.

-”I was just going to watch you guys anyway.” Ben remarked.

-”Not playing gives me an excuse to nap.” King yawned.

-”The tables are down there.” said the card lady. “Good luck you kids.” They headed over the the tables, and unbeknownst to them. Boscha, Skara, and Amelia were also there to play.

-”I'm glad to get out of that clubhouse.” Amelia uttered.

-”Save your breath Amelia.” Boscha said to her with an annoyed tone. “I only agreed to do this so you two would shut up about doing something else.”

-”It's a pretty cool game Boscha.” Skara replied. “Besides, if you win there are prizes, and you never know if there's something cool you'd want to get.”

-”That's enough to get me to play.” Amelia remarked.

-”Hmmm... I could use something to make me look good.” Boscha smirked to herself. “Alright girls, we're doing this, Mainly so I can win a prize, of course”Boscha chuckled.

-”What about to have fun with your friends?” Skara asked.

-”Alright, fine!” Boscha responded as she noticed Skara giving her an innocent smile, that she couldn't help but smile back as well. “So I can also have fun with my dorky friends.” Boscha remarked giving Skara small tickle on her neck.

-”Hey! Look over there.” Amelia said as she pointed over to Willow, Gus, and Rodney.

-”I wonder where Amity and that human girl are, and who is that older boy with them?” Skara asked.

-”Oh great!” Boscha barked as she noticed Rodney's ears, and immediately went into a sour mood. “It's another human. As if one wasn't bad enough, now we have another one.”

-”No need to let there presence get in the way of our night.” Skara replied.

-”Let's just get our cards and sit at a table before the game starts.” Amelia suggested.

-”Fine!” Boscha grumbled.

-”Attention players!” the bingo caller cried out to the whole room. “The game will begin in five minutes, so please find your seats, and get ready for a night of brimstone bingo.

-”It's going to be cool to play this game.” Rodney exclaimed.

-”You'll certainly have a good time Rodney.” Willow responded. “Just be sure to keep the little demons calm, and they'll cooperate with you.”

-”What happens if they don't cooperate with you and run off like you guys told me?” Rodney asked.

-”Then they don't leave a mark when their color is called.” Gus explained. “Basically, you lose that turn, and you have to wait to use that colored demon until it's color is called again.”

-”They poof back into the box, but you don't want to lose a turn if you're aiming to win something you really want.” Willow further explained. “They also have these treats, and if they do runaway then giving them the treats will allow them to trust you so they'll cooperate with you on that demon's next turn. By the way, there are all the prizes.” Willow said as she pointed to the prize table over by where the caller was seated. Rodney notices something, and was ecstatic to see it.

-”They have a rare Kermit plush as one of the prizes?” Rodney cried out. “I tried to get one back on Earth, but it was so rare that when I found one I couldn't afford to buy it.”

-”I wonder how they got an item from Earth?” Gus thought to himself.

-”I gotta win that.” Rodney remarked.

-”Good luck Rodney.” Ben said to him.

-”Who would want to win something as stupid as that?” Boscha asked Skara.

-”I guess it's just a human thing.” Skara replied. “Why do you care anyway?”

-”Because that goes to show that the human is some dork.” Boscha snickered.

-”We don't even know that boy.” Amelia remarked.

-”Aren't we just going to ignore them to concentrate on our night of fun?” Skara asked.

-”Well it's a human, and they tend to have a habit of giving us trouble.” Boscha explained as she glared at Rodney. “Until then, let's just get this game over with.” The gang were unaware that Boscha and her crew were even there, and were just waiting to start playing the game.

-”I see the cards have the squares and the letters at the top, but why don't the squares have the colors on them?” Rodney asked.

-”The colors appear on the square as soon as they are called, and that's when you have to get the demon to leave the mark on that square.” Willow explained.

-”Now then, let us begin.” said the bingo caller. “Our first color is I purple.” called out the announcer as that appeared on one of Rodney's cards as well as on on one of Gus' cards.

-”Cool, I already got one on the first call.” Rodney said as he was petting the demon to be cooperative, and he placed the purple demon on the square as it made it's mark.

-”Just know that sometimes you have to do a bit more then just pet and rub them.” Willow remarked. Gus was feeding his purple demon a tiny bit of fruit, causing it to calm down and leave it's mark.

-”Nice!” Gus uttered.

-”The next color is O pink.” cried out the bingo caller.

-”I don't have that one on any of my cards.” Rodney said in a disappointed tone.

-”Two of my cards have that one.” Willow happily remarked as she was petting her pink demon before she put it on the first card to leave it's mark. It did, and she gave it a little treat so it would do the same on the second card.

-”Well, that's a miss for me.” Gus commented.

Meanwhile, Luz and Amity were just sitting in the Owl House having just finished their dinner, and were about to get ready for their evening of Azura. “That was a really good food delivery service.” Luz commented. “Where did you learn about it Amity?”

-”Edric and Emira often use it when our parents are out for the night.” Amity replied. “I'd rather have professionals make our dinner than those two.” Amity smirked.

-”It's a good thing we chose to get takeout from Moore Food For You.” Luz commented. “Her cooking is truly amazing, and I love these Moore family cookies.”

-”Yeah, they're pretty good.” Amity chewed softly, and her eyes never left the sight of Luz.

-”Remember when Rodney first served an entire jar full of them to us, and we couldn't resist eating them that we started feeling some indigestion from eating too many, and then King gave himself a bellyache for eating the entire jar?” Luz asked as she giggled.

-”Yeah!” Amity chuckled. “That was pretty painful, but kinda funny looking back.”

-”Sometimes you gotta learn the hard way that too much of a good thing can be bad at times.” Luz remarked. Amity all of a sudden looked towards Luz as soon as she said that.

-”Yeah... I guess you're right.” Amity uttered as she started to look down at the book to not make herself look down. “So uhh... you wanna get started on the book?”

-”You know I do.” Luz happily replied. “I wonder what kind of magical adventure Azura gets herself into this time.” Luz happily uttered. “I heard that this book introduced a powerful new antagonist.”

-”Really?” Amity asked. “I couldn't get to hear much about this one.”

-”Aren't you able to see updates or anything else about it on Penstagram or any other form of social media you guys have here in the Demon Realm?” Luz asked.

-”Yeah, but I had a spoiler filter on.” Amity smirked. “I can't be spoiled on something I want to read.”

-”I know what you mean about spoilers.” Luz replied. “I remember Gus showing me his Penstagram scroll last week, and he showed some awful comments that Boscha keeps making about me.” Luz was then alerted by Amity slamming her fist on the table. When she realized what she did, she quickly adjusted herself and cleared her throat.

-”Sorry! I just... Can't tolerate Boscha making mean comments about my close friends.” Amity remarked.

-”Willow told me you blocked her on Penstagram so I am guessing you never know what she says on there until someone tells you?” Luz replied.

-”Pretty much, yeah.” Amity admitted.

-”I honestly don't know what her problem is.” Luz remarked as Amity got an update from Amelia whom she was still following, but forgot she was. She looked at her Penstagram update, and was shocked to see that Boscha and her crew were at the same place that Willow, Gus, Rodney, King, and Ben were at. “What's with that look?” Luz asked.

-”Speak of the devil.” Amity groaned. “Boscha and her friends are at brimstone bingo where the others have gone.”

-”I know Rodney hasn't met her yet, and now I'm worried she'll give him a hard time for no reason just because he's another human.” Luz uttered in a worried tone. “That's one of the reasons I tried to not mention him that much at school expect to anyone who I'm friends with or on good terms with. The last thing we need is for Boscha and her crew to harass Rodney.”

-”He wont even suffer the worst of her...” Amity said sadly.

-”We shouldn't let sad memories get in the way of our evening of Azura, so how about we just forgot about all that, and start with the book?” Luz happily said. Seeing Luz smile at her was enough to cheer Amity up.

-”I'd like that, very much.” Amity smiled.

The others meanwhile were having a fun time at brimstone bingo, and Rodney was getting close to having a win. “Pretty cool Rodney.” Willow commented. “All you need is a B yellow and an O green and you'll have a bingo.”

-”This is sooooo cool you guys.” Rodney replied. “That rare Kermit plush is going to look awesome among my Muppet collection.

-”G brown!” cried out the bingo caller.

-”That's another one for me.” Amelia happily said as she was attempting to keep her brown demon calm to mark the card.

-”Come on!” Boscha mumbled to herself. “All I need is an N purple and I win the first round.”

-”Just be sure to get the purple demon cooperative.” Skara explained. “The last time the color purple was called your purple demon ran away, and you have to get it to cooperate with you. Just be happy the treats bag for them magically refills so you can give him something to eat.”

-”Alright, gotcha!” Boscha replied as she looked at her purple demon and gave it a treat, followed by scratching it's head. This made it settle down and nuzzle against Boscha's finger.”Y'know this is kinda cute actually.”

-”B yellow!” cried out the bingo caller.

-”That's another one for me.” Rodney cried out happily. “Just one more, and I got a bingo. I can almost feel that Kermit plush in my hands.” Boscha could overhear Rodney's optimism, and it started to annoy her.

-”Would someone tell that human to zip it?” Boscha angrily uttered. “I can't concentrate on keeping my demon calm.

-”N purple!” cried out the bingo caller, but Boscha's purple demon ended up feeling stressed from Boscha's anger, and it ran away from her.

-”No! No! NO! Come back!” Boscha cried out, but the demon vanished back into the box. Now Boscha was getting really angry. Skara and Amelia took notice, and tried to calm her down.

-”Calm down Boscha.” Amelia said nervously.

-”That was just an accident, and you don't need to worry about anything but getting your purple demon calm with you again.”

-”It's too late now. By the time they call it again, those dorks will have won.” Boscha snapped, and looked towards the others. She was overfilled with rage from this, but it started to give her an idea. “Alright you pathetic human, you wanna ruin my game? Well I'm gonna ruin yours...” Boscha quietly stood up and walked the other way. “I uhh... need to use the restroom real quick.” Boscha lied, before she walked away.

-”Something tells me she's going to try and mess with them.” Skara said nervously as they both walked up to try and stop her.

-”We came here to have a fun night together, not to mess with people we don't like.” Amelia uttered.

-”Besides, we don't even know that human.” Skara explained. “From what I've seen with how he interacts with those two he seems like a nice boy, so I don't see any reason in messing with him.”

-”Let's just go back to our seats and enjoy the rest of our night.” Amelia replied. Boscha just ignored them, and continued to walk away as the two of them were looking on nervously. Once Boscha was out of everyone's sight, she quickly went behind the shelves of books to keep hidden. Steadily, she made her way towards one of the two hosts of the game.

-”Excuse me!” Boscha said.

-”What is it young lady?” asked the guy standing by the prize table. “If you have a bingo you need to call it before heading over here.”

-”Oh it's not about me.” Boscha chuckled. “It's about one of the players.” Boscha corrected, before she began to whisper into the man's ear.

-”O green!” cried the bingo caller.

-”BINGO!” Rodney shouted.

-”We have our first winner of the night.” the bingo caller cried out. “You may come up and choose whatever you like from the prize table.”

-”Don't mind if I do.” Rodney happily remarked as he made his way to get the Kermit plush. The other bingo host from earlier walked up to the bingo caller to tell him what he had heard. Boscha went back to her table and acted like she looked refreshed.

-”Ah, that feels better.” Boscha remarked. “Now maybe I can concentrate instead of thinking of using the restroom.”

-”One moment young man.” the bingo caller shouted. “I am afraid you are disqualified from this game, and you are forbidden from playing anymore.”

-”Why?” Rodney cried out as he was saddened.

-”Apparently, you humans know too much about bingo, and that gives you an unfair advantage.” said the bingo caller. “We cannot have that in our clean game of brimstone bingo.”

-”That's ridiculous!” Willow shouted. “He played the game fair and square, and he did nothing to deserve this.”

-”The decision is final, and he is disqualified from playing brimstone bingo ever again.” the bingo caller shouted out as the other host took the Kermit plush from Rodney, and put it back on the table. Rodney went back to his seat completely saddened by what happened. Skara and Amelia were also surprised by this, and Boscha pretended to be surprised as well.

-”What? Disqualified? He didn't do anything.” Boscha uttered. Skara and Amelia were quite suspicious, and had a feeling she had something to do with this.

-”This was your doing, wasn't it?” Skara questioned.

-”What!” Boscha questioned in a genuine tone. “No it wasn't. I just said I went to use the restroom.” Skara and Amelia still looked suspicious, and unbeknownst to them, King was nearby, and what he heard was proof enough to convince him that Boscha was the reason Rodney was disqualified from the game.

-”Boscha!” King grumbled. “You did me dirty in the past, so I think it's time for a little comeback.” King went over to find Ben, and Ben was sitting underneath the table that Rodney, Willow, and Gus were at. He suddenly noticed King heading towards him.

-”Hey King, where have you been?” Ben asked. “Rodney was disqualified from the game, and the reason sounds bogus to me.”

-”I wanted to find some snacks and they said I couldn't have any,” King replied, “but that's not the point. I bet I know who's making a ruckus tonight, and from past experiences, I wouldn't be surprised.”

-”And... who would that be?” Ben asked. King pointed towards Boscha, who was waiting for her next card color to be called.

-”Who's she?” Ben asked.

-”Only the most cold hearted witchling on the Boiling Isles, Boscha. She can not be trusted.” King shouted.

-”What's going on down there you two?” Rodney asked who heard King's shouting.

-”Did I hear you say Boscha King?” Willow asked.

-”How dare you eavesdrop on us?” King growled. “We're having a private conversation.” Gus turned around and did indeed see Boscha.

-”Uhh guys? I think we have a problem.”

-”So that's this Boscha you guys told me about?” Rodney asked.

-”That's her!” Willow snarled. “I don't doubt she has something to do with this given how she just loves to mess with us.”

-”But I don't even know her, so why would she want to mess with me?” Rodney asked.

-”Maybe she really wants one of the prizes and wont stop at anything to get them.” Gus suggested.

-”Or she's just trying to mess with us.” King snapped.

-”Just what we needed to wreck our fun night.” Willow remarked.

-”I'm just glad I haven't met her.” Rodney replied. “After everything you guys have told me about her, she is not someone I would not want to meet.”

-”No worries Rodney.” Gus said happily. “Me and Willow are still in the game. We can try winning that frog thing if you want us to.”

-”You guys would do that?” Rodney said in a surprised tone.

-”Of course. I mean, I initially wanted it for my Human Appreciation Society, but you can have it.” Gus replied.

-”Besides, Boscha will never know what hit her.” Willow giggled.

-”It's great to have friends like you guys.” Rodney replied.

-”I suppose you're also wanting to do something about this?” Ben asked King as they were once again alone under the table with the others not paying attention to them.

-”I think I've found a way to make tonight fun.” King clapped his hands together with a devilish look on his face, followed by a snicker.

While this was happening, Luz and Amity were reading the new Azura book, and the two girls were having a good time together. “Hard to believe we've already gone halfway through the book in just a short amount of time.” Luz remarked.

-”It always feels like time flies when you're enjoying yourself.” Amity smirked.

-”It sure does fellow Azura buddy.” Luz giggled as she put her arm around Amity's shoulder only for both to start blushing again.

-”Should I talk to her about it now...?” Amity thought to herself.

-”Why can't I just articulate myself to talk to Amity about you know what?” Luz thought to herself as she was starting to blush. Just then, Amity got an alert on her scroll as she saw an update from Gus.

-”What's happening now?” Luz asked as she looked at the Penstagram update from Gus. Amity rolled her eyes in annoyance.

-”Just as I figured. Boscha got Rodney disqualified from the game.” Amity snarled.

-”I wonder what her beef is this time.” Luz snapped. “She doesn't even know Rodney, and already she's messing with him for no reason.” Amity decided to go to Skara's profile and messaged her about what she knows. “I might not like Skara, but I know she has a better mindset than Boscha does.” Skara saw the PM on her Penstagram, and was surprised to see Amity sending it to her. She sent a response without Boscha noticing, and Amity received it right away. “Hopefully someone disqualifies her for being a bad sport.” Amity growled, before making her scroll disappear.

-”I wish I was there right now.” Luz snarled. “I wouldn't allow her to mess with him like that.”

-”Alright, for now. Let's just keep reading our story.” Amity suggested.

-”Good idea!” Luz replied. A bit of time passes, and we see that they are already 75% done with the book. “Whoa!” They weren't kidding about this powerful new enemy.” Luz commented.

-”Yeah... He seems pretty powerful.” Amity responds. “You know, this kinda reminds me of that confrontation you had against Belos.”

-”I know I got out of that in one piece, but I would not want to meet up with him anytime soon.” Luz replied as she was feeling a bit anxious. “I still don't understand why so many on the Boiling Isles just blindly follow him.”

-”Either way!” Amity started to blush again.”You looked amazing up there. Don't think I didn't see you on my crystal ball.”

-”It would have been great to have had you there with me.” Luz replied. “We could have made a good team against Belos just like how we defeated Grom together.”

-”Yeah...” Amity smiled. “When we made our Grom tree.”

-”That really was a magical night.” Luz smiled as she started having a very embarrassed look. Amity was also feeling quite awkward, until Hooty came up to them with his usual antics.

-”Hoot hoot! I hear love talk in here.” Hooty remarked. Luz and Amity's faces immediately turned red.

-”GET OUT OF HERE!” Amity shouted.

-”Hooty, please just let us have some time to ourselves without budding in whatsoever, PLEASE?” Luz cried out.

-”You two are talking, and you know I LOVE to talk.” Hooty suggested, but was taken aback by Amity cracking her knuckles. “But UHH... that can wait. Hoot!” Hooty shouted as he went back outside.

-”You look pretty upset Amity.” Luz said in a somewhat nervous tone.

-”I'm sorry.” Amity replied. “It's just that I...” Amity gulped nervously. “Uhh...”

-”It's no problem at all.” Luz assured her as her face was turning red again. “We all get mad sometimes.” Amity had her back turned a bit, with her eyes shut and tugging on her clothes. She was considering her options, but she knew Luz was looking at her. Maybe now was the time.

-”Luz... There's something I need to tell you.” Amity said as she tugged even harder.

-”You like me?” Luz suddenly asked, but she quickly covered her mouth as soon as she said it. Amity turned to Luz, hearing what exactly she just said. She looked surprised, but she knew she wasn't making a good job of hiding it. “Amity, I know things have been very awkward between us after what happened from that incident at the library. I just can't articulate my thoughts very well on this whole thing. My mind just had a hard time processing this, and it happened so sudden, and I just, I just....” Luz couldn't even finish her sentence. Amity could tell Luz needed help, so she reached out to hold her hand.

-”Luz, it's okay.“ Amity said as she smiled. “I'm feeling the same way. So much has happened since you first came here, my mind has been all over the place. I wish I could figure the answers out, but it's so overwhelming for me, but you're not alone.”

-”Amity!” Luz replied as she was feeling almost speechless to be able to process the right words to say. “I know exactly what I want to tell you, but my stupid dork mind just can't articulate my words good enough.” Luz said as she put her head down. “Honestly, why would you even want someone like me? I'm just a complete nerd who for the longest time had no good social skills. Ever since our dance at Grom I started to develop feelings for you, but honestly, why was I the person you fell for? What could a complete dork like me ever have to offer someone like you?” Amity was taken aback by Luz's words. She gently put her hand down on her chin, and led her eyes to hers, trying to smile.

-”Luz, do you honestly think I'd want to ask for anyone better? Never once have I seen someone willing to do so much for me, even despite our differences back then. You comforted me after our Witch's Duel, you took my place as Grom Queen because you knew how scared I was. You went through trial and error, just to get my job back at the library. You offer me the happiest moments I've ever had in my life. Yes it's confusing, yes it's scary, and yes I don't always know how to handle these situations, but I'm not asking for any better. Because I didn't fall in love with a better girl. I fell in love with you.”

Meanwhile, we see King and Ben underneath the table that Boscha, Skara, and Amelia were sitting at, and King was about to make his move.

-”What exactly are you planning to do King?” Ben asked.

-”I'm impeding her progress.” King whispered. “She can only win if her precious demons are calm, so I'm gonna make her wake them up.”

-”Though isn't that just sinking to her level?” Ben whispered back.

-”Save your generosity turtle.”King whispered. “Don't you wanna do this for your owner?”

-”I don't believe in petty revenge, and it's thanks to Rodney I feel that way.” Ben whispered back to King. “I know he wouldn't want me to do that. I wont help, but do what you must.”

-”Perfect!” King quietly snuck up to Boscha's position. With his claw ready, he does a quick swipe on Boscha's leg.

-”OW!” Boscha yelled in pain. This caused her demons to freak out and run away, but Boscha was too distracted by her cut to notice.

-”That's for what you did to me.” King snickered quietly.

-”B red.” cried out the bingo caller.

-”I wouldn't try anything until you've gotten all your demons under control.” Skara suggested.

-”Skara! Can you not see my leg is bleeding?” Boscha barked.

-”Not to worry Boscha.” Amelia replied. “Cat taught me a healing spell, so I'll have that cured for you in no time.” Amelia performed the healing spell, and the wound on Boscha's leg was gone.

-”Wow!” Boscha lightly smiled. “That's impressive. I had no idea you learned that. Thanks!” Ben noticed Boscha showing kindness to Amelia, and looked towards King who was still waiting for his next move. Ben grabbed King with his mouth, and put him down next to him.

-”I don't think hurting her should be how to handle this.” Ben whispered. “You hurt her to the point where she got an open wound.”

-”So what?” King grumbled. “She deserved it for being such a jerk.”

-”I can see that she isn't the nicest person, but I just heard her show gratitude towards her friend.” Ben whispered. “I know Rodney dealt with bullies back on Earth, but he never resorted to this just to get back at them. You can prove you're better than another person's poor attitude without sinking to their level.” King looked up and noticed Amelia hugging Boscha, and this made him rethink his ways.

-”Fine! She's spared for now, but I'm keeping my eye on her.” King quietly uttered as he glared at her, and decided to leave with Ben back to his table.

-”G red.” cried out the bingo caller.

-”That's another for me.” Willow happily uttered.”

-”How many do you have left, Willow?” Gus asked.

-”I only need an I blue and O pink to get a bingo.” Willow replied. “How far are you currently Gus?”

-”I just need a B yellow and I win this game.” Gus happily remarked.

-”Hopefully one of us can win this game.” Willow replied.

-”Looks like they're doing pretty well.” Skara remarked.

-”Who knew those guys were such good brimstone bingo players.” Amelia commented.

-”Yeah, yeah, whatever.” Boscha scoffed. “There's no way they're gonna beat me.”

-”B yellow.” the bingo caller cried out.

-”Bingo! Bingo!” Gus called out.

-”Seriously? Right when I said it?” Boscha sneered.

-”Come one down and pick a prize young man.” the bingo caller called out. Gus made his way to the prize table, but noticed another item on the prize table he also wanted, and was now having a hard time choosing.

-”Just pick something already kid.” the other host commented.

-”I...I'm thinking!” Gus stuttered. He turned back to the others, and they could tell that he was wanting to pick something else.

-”Just grab something from the table young man.” the bingo caller cried out.

-”If you don't chose something in the next ten seconds I'll just grab a random item for you. You're just wasting time, and we still have one more game to get to before the night ends.” the other host remarked in an annoyed tone. Under pressure, Gus grabbed the item that he really wanted. It was another human item. An Avengers comic book. He rushed back to the table in guilt.

-”I'm sorry!” Gus cried out. “I could help myself. I really wanted this.”

-”There's no need to feel guilty Gus.” Willow replied. “You won, and you're free to choose whatever it is your heart desires.

-”But I know Rodney really wanted that plush. I'm sorry!” Gus cried.

-”We'll give you all a ten minute intermission, and then the final game of the night will start.” the bingo caller called out to everyone in the room.

-”Where is Rodney anyway?” Willow asked.

-”I don't know. Rodney? Where'd you go buddy?” Gus called.

-”I'm right here guys.” Rodney called out to them who was sitting at one of the library tables waiting for them to finish. “Since I'm not allowed to play I figured I'd just wait here for you guys.”

-”It's not fair you have to sit back here. “Gus said. “You deserve another chance to play.”

-”Remember how Rodney told you guys human bingo is much simpler than brimstone bingo?” Ben asked.

-”Yes!” Willow replied.

-”I think I know how you can convince them to let him back in the game.”

-”Excuse me, good fine people?” Gus said to the staff as they all walked up to them.

-”What is it young man?” asked the bingo caller.

-”We want you to give our human friend another chance at bingo.” Gus replied.

-”I believe I made it clear that it's best for him not to play since humans have an unfair advantage when it comes to bingo.” said the bingo caller.

-”That's not true at all.” Willow replied.

-”Human bingo is quite simple, and compared to brimstone bingo it's a rather pedestrian game in comparison.” Rodney remarked as he showed the hosts a video on his phone of a normal game of Earth bingo.

-”I see!” said the bingo caller.

-”Perhaps we were too hasty on just relying on the words of that three eyed girl.” said the other host.

-”Three eyed girl, huh?” Gus smirked as he turned towards Boscha.

-”Well... I didn't know. Humans can be up to anything different, you know?” Boscha argued in her defense.

-”So we were right in that you did that just to mess with them.” Skara cried out.

-”You lied to us.” Amelia uttered. Skara and Amelia both glared at Boscha, causing her face to turn red as she looks away.

-”Don't look at me like that.” Boscha barked.

-”If anything you should be disqualified.” King shouted.

-”Agreed!” said the bingo caller. “You are hereby disqualified from the final game young lady.”

-”Come on!” Boscha cried out.

-”Serves you right you cheater.” King snapped. Boscha knew there was no point in arguing anymore, and just left the table rubbing her arm.

-”Sorry about her.” Skara said to the hosts.

-”Can we still play?” Amelia asked.

-”You most certainly can.” said the bingo caller. “You two had nothing to do with that, and therefore, you may still play.”

-”Thanks!” Amelia replied.

-”Sorry about Boscha.” Skara said to the main gang. “We tired to convince her to just let you guys be, but she never listens to us.”

-”She's probably too narrow-minded.” King snickered.

-”Dang! I never thought you guys would apologize to us.” Gus remarked.

-”We don't always agree with Boscha.” Amelia assured them. “In fact, during that Grudgby game, we think she went way too far with how she treated the human girl.”

-”Either way, we're happy to play with you guys.” Gus smiled.

-”Same!” Skara replied as everyone headed back to their tables before the final game of the night was about to begin.

-”Alright everyone!” called out the bingo caller. “The final game for the night is about to begin, so please take your seats so we may begin.”

-”I really hope I'm able to win this final game.” Rodney commented. “Hopefully this time I can get that Kermit plush.

-”If one of us wins then we'll be sure to get it for you.” Willow smiled.

-”This time I give my word of honor that I will get it for you should I win.” Gus said as he put his hand over his chest.

-”It's not a problem at all Gus.” Rodney smiled. “You won, and you're free to choose what you want. Besides, I can't blame you on that Avengers comic book, since it is a rare one, and I'm lucky the guy from the comic book story I used to go to sold a copy to me for a reasonable price.”

-”After I read your copy I fell in love, and when I saw it there I just had to have it.” Gus explained.

-”Now we both have a copy, and maybe sometime we can get together to read them little buddy.” Rodney replied as the two of them high fived.

-”Let us now commence with the final game of the night.” the bingo caller called out. “O blue.”

-”That's a first for me.” Willow remarked, letting her demon burn the mark.

-”So King, did you want to find something to do while we wait for the game to end?” Ben asked King.

-”Like what?” King asked in an irritated tone. “There's hardly anything to do in a library.”

-”Trust me King.” Ben assured him. “You can always find something to do. Now follow me, and I'll look around for something to keep us occupied.” Ben turned around and started slowly. Much to King's annoyance, he picked him up and scurried off.

-”Guide me then.” King cried out.

-”G orange!” the bingo caller called out.

-”That's another one I don't have.” Rodney said in a disappointed tone.

-”But I do.” Willow said happily

-”Yeah! Go Willow!” Gus cheered.

-”I sometimes wonder why we give Willow such a hard time.” Amelia told Skara as she noticed them.

-”Same here.” Skara replied. “Do you ever feel bad about it afterwards?”

-”Always!” Amelia answered.

-”B purple!” the bingo caller cried out.

-”That's a first one for me in this game.” Rodney said happily.

-”Another one for me, but unfortunately this one doesn't go in a line like my first two.” Willow remarked.

-”But that's the first one for me.” Gus said. While this was happening, we see King and Ben as they were in the comic book section of the library looking at some comics.

-”Many of these magical superheroes you guys have here look like they could give characters like Doctor Strange a run for his money.” Ben commented. “Do you guys have any normal heroes with no powers in any of these local comics?”

-”How would I know? I don't even read comics.” King replied.

-”It's still an enjoyable medium you have to admit.” Ben replied.

-”Meh!” King mumbled. He turned around and noticed Boscha sitting at the bigger table reading a book. He decided to go up to her. “Ahem!” Boscha was alerted, and looked down to see King.

-”Uhh... Aren't you that human girl's little pet?”

-”Firstly, I am not a pet.” King remarked. “Secondly, you know your leg that got cut open earlier?”

-”Yeah...?” Boscha glared.

-”That was me.” Ling admitted.

-”Why'd you do that?” Boscha asked angrily. “Is it because of what I did to that human boy?”

-”Yes it was, but that's not the point.” King clarified. “I doubt you'll forgive me, but I wanted to say... I'm sorry.”

-”W-what'd you say?” Boscha asked as she was thrown off by King's comment.

-”I said I'm sorry. I know you can seem like a jerk, but I bet deep down, there's a soft side to you.” Boscha just stared at King for a bit, and he began to walk to where Ben was. She sat there for a moment thinking of what she just witnessed.

-”Good on you King.” Ben said commending King.

-”I suppose it was the least I could do.” King replied.

-”Thanks to being Rodney's friend I have the mindset of being the better guy in these situations.” Ben replied. “Rodney doesn't hold grudges, and he never wishes any ill will towards anyone, not even to anyone who's bullied him. I know it works because despite having had a rather rough life, Rodney is still happy with what he has, and he wouldn't be any happier if he was someone who was resentful.”

-”I guess I could say the same about Luz.” King replied.

-”I often wonder what it would have been like if Luz and Rodney had met before coming to the Demon Realm.” Ben remarked. “I just know they would have finally found a human friend.”

-”I take that offense to that.” King joked.

-”Bingo!” Willow's voiced echoed from nearby.

-”Oh, finally!” King groaned.

-”Congratulations young lady.” said the bingo caller. “You have won the last game of the night, and you may come up and take a prize.”

-”I know what I'm getting.” Willow thought to herself as she happily walked up to the prize table.

-”Please don't take long in picking something.” said the other bingo host.

-”I already know what I want.” Willow replied as she grabbed the Kermit plush.

-”That's all for tonight.” said the bingo caller. “Brimstone bingo will be back next Saturday evening here at the Bonesborough library. Same time, same place.”

-”Now that brimstone bingo is over the library is back to silence.” cried out the main librarian.

-”That was fun.” Rodney said. “Thanks for bringing me here.”

-”No problem.” Willow replied. “We had a feeling you'd have fun, but I'm sorry for what you had to go through tonight.”

-”I'm not going to let that ruin what was otherwise a fun night with my friends.” Rodney responded. “I'm glad I spent the evening with you guys, and I now know something fun I can do from time to time.”

-”By the way, here you go Rodney.” Willow said happily as she handed Rodney the Kermit plush.

-”Thanks Willow!” Rodney smiled as he gave Willow a hug. “It's great to have friends like you.”

-”King! Ben! We're leaving.” Gus called out.

-”I've been waiting for this moment.” King commented, jumping onto Gus' shoulder.

-”More like you were waiting for them.” Ben replied.

-”I thought I said silence.” said the librarian in an annoyed tone.

-”We're leaving sir.” Rodney replied.

-”Boy, the staff are kinda rude.” Gus mumbled under his breath. Skara and Amelia came to Boscha, who was still reading her book.

-”Oh! Is the night over?” Boscha asked genuinely.

-”Yes it is.” Skara responded. They all got up, and headed out of the library.

-”We're still upset you lied to us about not messing with that human boy.” Amelia commented.

-”I know. I'm sorry.” Boscha replied. The two girls were surprised to hear her apologize.

-”So, is there anything else we can do before the night is up?” Amelia asked.

-”I dunno. Any ideas?” Skara asked.

-”I... might have an idea.” Boscha spoke up.

-”What?” Skara asked. Sometime later, the three were sitting in the Treasure Shack having some sweet beverages.

-”Mmm, this is really yummy. Thanks for the idea Boscha.” Skara said.

-”I never would have thought you'd want to get anything from that new restaurant that's run by that human boy's mother.” Amelia said.

-”I'm glad you did, because these human milkshakes are great.” Skara happily said as she took another sip of her drink.

-”Even I have to admit, humans know how to make some great drinks.” Boscha smiled.

-”And thanks for paying for them Boscha. We forgive you.” Skara happily hugged Bosch, causing the latter's cheeks to turn red.

-”Looks like this was a nice night after all.” Amelia remarked as she too joined the hug.

Meanwhile, we see Willow, Gus, Rodney, King, and Ben as they were walking along the streets of Bonesborough. “I can't believe I finally have this rare Kermit plush.” Rodney said happily.

-”I'm glad for you buddy.” Ben replied.

-”It's sure to look great in that collection of Muppet memorabilia you have.” Willow remarked.

-”It sure is.” Rodney replied.

-”I'm just wondering what Luz ad Amity are up to right now.” King remarked.

While they were talking, back at the Owl House Luz was still in a state of not being able to fully articulate her thoughts as to what Amity had told her, but she finally was able to work up what to say to her. “Oh Amity!” Luz said as she started to smile. “I've never noticed this, but this something I seem to share with Rodney where I don't always seem to have any faith in myself. He told me once that he doesn't think he has anything to offer anyone, but I disagree, and I believe he does.” Luz held Amity's hands. “Hearing that was just so beautiful, and it really made me happy to hear those words from you.” Luz began to have tears in her eyes. Amity noticed the tears in her eyes and gently wiped them away keeping her hands on Luz's shoulders.

-”I'm happy you feel that way Luz” Amity said as she leaned forward to give Luz a small kiss on her forehead. “For the longest time, I doubted if I was even that good of a girl for you to like. I was so scared you'd reject that... I didn't want to say anything.

-”Of course you're good enough for me.” Luz happily responded. “You're talented. You're smart. You're beautiful. You're more than I feel I even deserve. I want to be your girlfriend Amity.” Luz grasped Amity's hands tightly. “There's nothing else I want more right now than for you to be the person I spend the rest of my life with. I love you Amity.”

-”R-Really?” Amity asked in shock.

-”Yeah! You're one of the coolest and smartest people I've ever met, and gosh dang it, you're also the most beautiful.” Luz cried out. Both of their faces turned red. “And you know, if you had just asked me out to Grom a few weeks ago, I definitely would've said yes. In fact, I sort of started developing a crush on you after that.” Amity felt so relieved and touched by Luz's words that even she started getting tears in her eyes too.

-”I love you more.” Amity replied .

-”So Amity, may I have this dance?” Luz asked as she extended her hand to Amity. Amity took Luz's hand, and they began to slow dance as they just looked into each other's eyes, and both smiled at the other as they slow danced.

-”Sorry I couldn't dress nicer for this moment.” Amity blushed.

-”Don't sweat it. You still loo beautiful.” Luz smiled. Continuing with their slow dance, Luz gave Amity a small twirl in the air before bending her over. When she brought her back up, the two started to smile at each other. They could tell their eyes were glowing, and were loving every second of it. “Hey is it alright if I kiss you on the lips?” Luz asked awkwardly. Amity's eyes shot up from the question, but she settled down afterwards.

-”Of course you can.” Amity replied happily. Without hesitation, Luz suddenly fell forwards, wrapped her arms around Amity, and started to kiss her. Amity felt surprised by this sudden act of affection, but she slowly started to return the kiss, also wrapping her arms around Luz. Steady on her feet, the new couple were still kissing in the beautiful moment.

-”Company! Hooray! Now I wont be bored.” Hooty called from outside.

-”Oh shoot!” Amity gasped, suddenly breaking from the kiss. “That must be the others.”

-”Err, quick, pretend we're still reading.”Luz shouted. The two quickly sat back down and pulled their book up, right before the group came in.

-”Knock! Knock! The friends are back.” Gus shouted.

-”How was your night you two?” Rodney asked.

-”Oh, it was great.” Luz said excitedly. Though the real excitement came from something other than the book. “We just can't get enough of this Azura book. We haven't even finished it yet.”

-”Yeah! Just... still reading.” Amity laughed nervously.

-”I'm glad you two had a fun evening.” Willow replied happily.

-”Our evening was also quite eventful.” Rodney happily remarked holding up his new Kermit plush.

-”Heck yeah!” Gus said excitedly, holding his comic. “We both won prizes.”

-”Wow! Congrats you two.” Luz clapped.

-”Well, I didn't actually win.” Rodney exclaimed. “Willow actually won this, but she won it for me.”

-”Because I'm just that good of a friend.” Willow giggled.

-”Yeah, you are.” Amity smiled. She was just happy to have Willow as a friend again.

-”Though our night wasn't all great.” Ben replied. “We did have a brief bump in our otherwise fun night out.”

-”Boscha, I'm guessing? Amity asked.

-”How did you guys know?” Gus asked in surprise.

-”Her friends were telling us about that,” Luz clarified. “but anyway, how did it go?” While Willow and Gus were talking to Luz about the night they had, Rodney took notice of Amity looking unusually happy while she was looking at Luz.

-”Hey Amity?“ Rodney asked quietly. “ Can I speak to you for a moment?”

-”Oh, sure.” Amity replied, before the two quietly went into the hallway away from everyone.

-”So, I am guessing that from your joyful demeanor that you and Luz discussed your feelings for one another, and it went well?” Rodney asked happily. Amity couldn't stop the smile that was spreading across her lips, and nodded gleefully. “I knew it would turn out well for you Amity.” Rodney replied. “Now you have someone special who loves you back, and I know this is going to be the beginning of a great life for the both of you.” Rodney put his hand on Amity's shoulders. “Congrats Amity.” Amity gently took Rodney's hand off her shoulder, and suddenly lurched forward with an unexpected hug.

-”Thank you for your confidence in me.” Amity spoke happily. “That was just the little bit I needed in telling Luz how I really feel about her.”

-”You're welcome!” Rodney responded as he returned her hug.

-”Hey, what are you two talking about?” Luz asked as she peeked through the door.

-”Ohh, eavesdropping are you?” Amity smirked.

-”Me and Amity were just talking about how it went well between you two, and was thanking me for helping to give her confidence to be able to talk to you about it Luz.” Rodney said happily. “Now you two will be happy together. YAAAAYYYY!” Rodney waved as he did a bad Kermit the Frog impression while waving the Kermit doll.

-”Oww...” Luz poked her finger in her ear. “That was a bad one.”

-”Maybe don't do that again.” Amity replied.

-”Anyway, we're really happy we feel the same way about each other.” Luz said facing Amity, wrapping her arms around her. “I'll make sure nothing ever happens to you.”

-”Promise me a date to the human realm?” Amity smiled.

-”I'll make sure of it.” Luz replied, giving Amity a kiss on the nose.

-”I can name some great spots for a date back on Earth you two.” Rodney said as he smiled at them. “You should really take Amity to Disneyland.”

-”And risk my Mom's pocket change?” Luz winced. “That's gonna take a while before we go there.”

-”Hey! What's with all the secret exchanges?” Gus asked.

-”Are you two okay with telling them?” Rodney asked as he faced Luz and Amity.

-”Well?” Amity asked facing Luz.

-”Yeah!” Luz smiled, turning to Willow, Gus, and King. “Well, while you guys were out at brimstone bingo, me and Amity realized our true feelings for each other.” Luz wrapped her arm around Amity. “Now, we're a couple.”

-”Whaaaa?” Gus replied in disbelief.

-”I didn't know about this.” King said.

-”I knew it! I knew you two were in love.”Willow pointed out.

-”I could tell easily that they were in love.” Rodney replied.

-”Same!” Ben remarked.

-”Even the turtle knew while I didn't?” King said unhappily.

-”Yep! We're crazy for each other now.” Luz replied, kissing Amity on her lips for the second time.

-”Do you have to do that in front of us?” King said with a repulsed tone.

-”King!” Ben shouted.

-”Man, what a night this has been.” Gus remarked.

-”Anyway, I really should get home.” Willow said as she was getting ready to head out the door. “If I stay for too long my dads will start to worry.

-”I should get going too.” Gus replied. “We're all happy for you two, and we'll see you tomorrow.

-”Goodnight you two.” Luz called out as she, Amity, and Rodney waved at them.

-”Goodnight! Hoot hoot.” called out Hooty as the two of them started walking faster to get away from Hooty's voice. Rodney noticed Luz and Amity were looking at each other happily, so he picked Ben up and decided to go to the front door.

-”Wait Rodney, where are you going?” Luz asked. “It's not time for you to leave yet.”

-”You're right, it's not,” Rodney turned back to the two with a smile. “but we're gonna leave you two alone for the night before Amity has to leave.”

-”Aww, thank you.” Amity smiled. “For everything.”

-”I'm glad I helped play a part in this.” Rodney replied as he hugged the two of them. “You two are like sisters to me, and I want nothing more than for both of you to be happy.”

-”Oh, and if you decide to tell your Mom about us, go ahead. We don't mind.” Luz replied.

-”I'm sure my mom will be happy for both of you as well.” Rodney replied.

-”Bye Rodney!” said the two of them in unison as they walked out the front door.

-”Goodnight! Hoot hoot.” Hooty called out as Rodney walked faster with Ben in his arms.

-”So, wanna finish our book?” Luz asked sweetly.

-”Only if we do it like this.” Amity replied. She and Luz sat down on the sofa, and Amity started to snuggle against Luz while they were holding their book. “That's better.”

-”Mi Amor...” Luz smiled.

-”Huh?” Amity went.

-”That's Spanish for my love.” Luz replied. Amity smiled in return. After the two shared another kiss, they proceeded to read their book together. Never taking hands off each other. Some time passed, and they had reached the end of the book. “Wow! What an ending.” Luz remarked.

-”That sure was an amazing entry.” Amity commented. “I'm just hoping I can find a copy of this one soon.”

-”Not to worry Amity.” Luz replied. “Issac promised me he'd help locate one, and if he does, he'll get it for me so I can give it to you.”

-”Thank you, Luz.” Amity said as she noticed the time on the wall. “Ah, I need to get going. Mom needs me back by a certain time.”

-”I gotcha.” Luz replied. “This was such an eventful evening, and I am so glad that everything worked out so well.” Amity held Luz's hand.

-“I can't wait to see you tomorrow, Mi Amor.” Amity replied in a sweet tone.

-”Te amo mucho.” Luz replied as she pulled in Amity for one final kiss. “We also need to do something nice for Rodney since he played a part for this to have been possible.”

-”We'll figure that out soon.” Amity smiled. She stroked Luz's cheek for a bit, and finally parted away from her. “See you tomorrow, Luz. I love you.”

-”Me too, and buenos noches mi amor.” Luz replies sweetly as Amity waved to her, and proceeded to head home.

-”Congratulations! Hoot hoot.” Hooty cried to Luz as he wrapped around her.

-”Agh! Hooty! Too tight. Luz strained. As an hour passed by, Luz was putting some of her things away. She noticed that King was looking out the window, but his tail was wagging. “What is it King?” Luz asked.

-”Eda! Home! She's coming.” King cried. Eda flew to the door, and she came inside.

-”Hey everyone.” Eda commented. “How was your night with your friends kiddo?”

-”Well , technically it was just me and Amity tonight. We wanted to catch up on a new Azura book, so the others went to play brimstone bingo, but guess what the best part was?” Luz said excitedly.

-”Your friends won gold as a prize?” Eda asked.

-”Ah! No! Me and Amity are dating now.” Luz clarified.

-”I was wondering when it would finally happen.” Eda replied.

-”You guessed it too?” Luz asked.

-”Of course I did you dope.” Eda responded. “Forgive my words, but I can't believe you couldn't pick up on the signs sooner Luz.”

-”I still can't believe pretty much everyone else, including Rodney's pet turtle could guess this, but I, The King of Demons was in the dark?” King shouted. “Why could I not see the signs if they were so obvious to everyone else?”

-”Maybe because you don't know a single thing about romance.” Eda snorted.

-”I do so. You just don't know me that much.” King replied.

-”Yeah, I do kinda wish I could've seen the signs sooner. If I had, we'd be together for a longer time.” Luz said.

-”Well, now you know how Amity feels about you, and the two of you are officially together.” Eda responded in a happy tone. “I'm proud that my girl has already found love, and I'll stand by it every step of the way kiddo.”

-”Thanks, Eda.” Luz responded happily.

-”Of course kid.” Eda replied back.

-”So how was your evening Eda? Hoot! Hoot!” Hooty cried out.

-”Me and Lilith had a nice evening together, and it's great that we're rekindling the sisterly bond we used to have.” Eda responded.

-”You should invite her back over here. Hoot! Hoot! I miss Lu Lu soooooo much.” Hooty exclaimed.

-”I know you do.” Eda cried out while Luz left the living room, went up to her room, and was sitting there happily, and looked at her phone. Luz knew she couldn't send anything to her mom at the moment, but she started to record a video to save on her phone that she could show to her eventually when the time came for her to return home.

-”Hola mama!” Luz said as she started to record the video. “I wanted to give an update on how things are going here on the Boiling Isles.” Luz began to blush. “So... I've told you that I've made a few friends here, but I think it's time I told you something a bit deeper... I've met someone, that I'm in love with.” A smile poured onto her lips. “I really hope you wont think differently of me when I tell you this. This person I like... it's a girl. Her name is Amity, and... She and I are in love with each other. I can't wait for you to meet her soon.”

-”You're really going to tell your mother about this?” King asked who had come into Luz's room noticing what she was doing.

-”Yes I am.” Luz responded. “She's my mom after all, and I shouldn't feel ashamed to admit to her who I am currently in a relationship with.” Luz finished recording her video, and was deeply smiling over the thought of her being together with Amity.
