Work Text:

Haruchiyo Sanzu was the epitome of sin. He moved with precision and intent, leaving a trail of broken hearts behind him. He was the type of person that devoured everything in his path. Anyone that ever encounters him gets everything taken from them and gets left with nothing but shame echoing in their heads. He would be there for the night and gone before you wake. The vivid purple and blue bruises that marred your body would be the only sign he was ever there.

Sanzu was beautiful, drawing people in with his intense gaze and sharp smirk. The scars that sat on his lips only added to that rugged handsomeness that he sported. His pink hair was somewhat feminine looking, considering the length as well, but he managed to make it match his aesthetic so well.

Sanzu could pull anyone into his bed and he knew it.

That was until he met Haitani Rindou.

Haitani Rindou was used to getting everything he wanted. He was just as destructive as Sanzu, if not more. He was someone that people didn't want to cross. He could ask for the world and people would do everything just to get it for him. Everyone adored him and Rindou knew that. He relished in the attention, the adoration.

Rindou was unnaturally gorgeous as well. His hair was always immaculate, streaked with purple highlights that made his feline eyes pop. His eyes always had this bedroom feel, flustering people with a glance. He snatched people left and right, a new person warming his bed every night.

Ran would often admonish his behavior however there was nothing he could do about it, given how stubborn his younger brother was.

Everyone knew Haitani Rindou and Haruchiyo Sanzu. The pair knew each other as well. They’ve never seen each other however they were acquainted through hushed conversations and passed gossip.

The day they finally met was on a chilly November evening in a bar uptown, their eyes meeting among the crowd of partygoers. The strobe lights were bright, sweat and alcohol thick in the air as EDM boomed on the speakers. The floor seemed to vibrate as they walked towards each other, gravitating into each other’s orbit until the space between them was no longer existent.

“Hm, you usually hang around here?” Sanzu asks, arms lazily slung around Rindou’s shoulders. A red cup was in his hand as he looked at Rindou, analyzing his pretty face. Al sharp angles, pretty sloped nose that propped his glasses up.

Rindou just chuckled, hands pressed to Sanzu’s hips. He massaged the tender flesh there, eliciting a hum from the other man. “Not really. My brother told me this was a good party spot though.” He replied.

“Your brother knows his shit then.” Sanzu says with a lazy smirk, pressing a feather light kiss to the side of Rindou’s lips.

Rindou had been with many kinds of men and women. He had experiences with the best and worst of them. However there was something about this man that drew him in. Was it the pretty blue eyes? Or the bright pink hair? Maybe it was the scars on his lips.

Whatever it was, Rindou loved it. He was taught to appreciate the finer things in life and so that was what he would do.

Sanzu basked in the heavy haze Rindou sent his way, hips grinding to the beat of the music.

The pair danced the entire night. If they slipped out of the bar hand in hand, nobody needed to know.

Their escapades only continued from then on.

Most of the time, the meet ups were messy and quick. Their lives were both hectic and schedules overlapped a lot, so it was difficult to find time for them to ever see each other. They would go at it and leave before the sun even rose.

There were nights where pent up frustration led to an all time high. They would come from their tasked jobs and would release their anger on each other, adding more bruises on their already battered bodies. It was rough but satisfying, their masochistic tendencies rising to the surface. They would leave the hotel with sore bodies and sated minds.

But there were also times when they would indulge in each other's presence and bask in the post orgasmic bliss. They would lay in bed, Rindou curled up into Sanzu’s side as the pinkette ran his hand through his fluffy hair. In those moments it was like time stopped and they were the only people in the world. Sanzu would often wish he could freeze time and just lay there with Rindou, no care in the world.

These moments of vulnerability were initially something they were uncomfortable with but now it was a welcome part of their relationship, something they both treasured.

Things between them were easy. No labels, no attachments, no commitments. Just… Companionship. Both men lived lives on the edge of the cliff. They had uncertain futures and teetered on the fine line of life and death. So companionship was enough for them.

But as they saw each other more and more, it was inevitable that their bond grew deeper.

The pair laid in bed one night, both having an internal turmoil about their feelings for one another.

Rindou laid on the right side, staring out the window with Sanzu in his arms. He looked down at the pink haired man and pressed a kiss to his temple. He pondered the reasons he loved Sanzu as he laid there. He knew he was in love with Sanzu’s bright pink hair and eccentric personality. He also loved the way Sanzu’s expensive cologne clinged on Rindou’s beautifully tailored suits after hasty makeout sessions, the scent of smoke and Dior Sauvage lingering like a lipstick stain. He loved the way Sanzu whispered sweet nothings into his ear, melting just about every organ in Rindou’s body. Ran once told him he was whipped as hell and Rindou didn’t make an argument against it because he was right.

On the left side of the bed, Sanzu wasn’t fairing well with his feelings either. A frown settled on his face as he stared out the window, going through his memories of Rindou like he was watching a movie. He was enamored by the way Rindou’s eyes crinkle when he smiled. He also loved it when Rindou scrunched his nose when Ran says something stupid or when Rindou nuzzled into his side like a cat seeking heat. Sanzu could spin sonnets and poems on the things he loved about Rindou but the thing he loved the most about him was the way he was able to calm him down with one look. Rindou had this weird way of making Sanzu feel comforted and safe with just one look and that was what he loved most about him.

Both their hearts were beating at the same time, beating for each other and maybe they knew it.

The bed shifted and they were finally looking at each other. Sanzu was still caged in Rindou’s arms as purple eyes met blue.

“Hey.” Rindou whispered, voice hoarse. A small smile tugged on Sanzu’s lips. “Hey.” He replied.

To anyone that knew anything about them, both men were images of infallibility. They were both tall with menacing faces and lean physiques, easily taking on throngs of people without even breaking a sweat. But behind closed doors, all walls fell and they were just men with dark pasts and even darker futures.

The atmosphere was warm, maybe too warm, but it was comforting. They just laid there, staring into each other’s eyes. Words never worked for either of them so they just laid there, their eyes conveying the words they couldn’t say out loud.

At that moment, the unsaid confessions of love were confirmed with one soft kiss. This was home and there was nothing that could ruin it.
