Sun shone in through the window, through the shades, and cast down on the sheets. It shone on the two faces, highlighting their features. It cast light down on the metal arm that rested over brown skin. The sunlight shone on both faces until one of them moved his arm up to shield his face.
"Mmn... too bright..." Bucky groaned.
"Somethin' wrong?" Sam asked.
"Sun's too bright..."
"The Sun is too bright?" Sam snorted, tilting his head up, still with his eyes closed.
Bucky glared at him, "Yeah. The Sun is too damn bright."
"James, do you even hear yourself?"
Bucky flicked Sam's nose with his non-metallic hand. Sam groaned and tried swatting his hand away. Happy with the reaction, Bucky proceeded to try and mess with his face some more, just to watch Sam try to swat his hand away. At the end of his annoyance assault, he played with Sam's nose causing him to slap his face. Bucky snorted at him and Sam lied there for a moment.
"Sam?"
"What."
Bucky laughed, "Why're you so snippy?"
"It's 'cause you're an ass, James."
"Rude."
Sam suddenly threw his arms around Bucky, making the older man jump. He calmed down when he felt Sam press a kiss on his cheek. Bucky smiled at this and kissed Sam's forehead.
"You're so adorable, James."
"Am I?"
"Yeah. You're adorable and I love you..."
Bucky blushed, "I love you too..." Bucky wrapped his arms around Sam.
They lay there for a few minutes until Bucky tried covering his face again and Sam sat up to close the blinds. He pressed another kiss to Bucky's cheek when he lied back down. Bucky smiled at him and tried to pull Sam down for a kiss.
"Nu-uh. I need to brush my teeth."
Bucky pouted and watched Sam stand up. He walked to the bathroom and Bucky followed after a second. Sam prepared his toothbrush and started brushing and Bucky joined him soon after. Sam glanced at him and spat out the toothpaste.
"Shower together or separate?"
"As long as you don't try anything, together."
Sam smiled and finished brushing his teeth. He walked out to grab some towels and clothes. He walked back in and saw Bucky taking off his shirt. Sam smirked and bumped his hips against Bucky's who looked over at him.
"How did I end up with someone so hot?"
"I should be asking you that."
"Please, you're easily hotter than me."
"Says you."
"And I'm always right."
They argued about who was hotter even after they dried off and changed into their regular clothes. Sam grabbed his phone and looked at the time. He hummed and looked over at Bucky.
"You wanna run later?"
"Yeah. When?"
"Hm. 3?"
"Sure," Bucky answered. He kissed Sam's cheek and leaned against him. Sam looked up at him confusedly.
"What're you doing, James?"
"Just enjoying your presence."
Sam smiled at him, "You like it?"
"Yeah. If I didn't, I wouldn't be here."
Sam leaned against Bucky, "I love you, James."
"I love you, Sam."
